Image Sleuth / Re: 60gb of stock!
« on: September 27, 2011, 14:04 »
After a "check" over one file named "ShutterStock" ( files over 3000x2000 ):

http://www.shutterstock.com/pic-562621/stock-photo-beautiful-black-woman-looking-up.html

http://www.shutterstock.com/s/luggage/search.html#id=15017248

http://www.shutterstock.com/cat.mhtml?safesearch=1&search_type=gallery&submitter_id=83858#id=11536585

Maybe I miss something on search but this i only found at 123RF and Fotolia ( maybe owner remove it from SS):

http://www.123rf.com/photo_1090944_40-s-vintage-woody-station-wagon-popular-with-surfers-and-antique-collectors.html

Unlike the other pictures I saw, this files have "enough" IQ.

BTW.. some files have exif:

- Almost of them have an tag:  "mobilevodoo.com"
- One or two have camera/shoot data.

Lately i will have one named "istock". Dunno when, because I only taking one file of each torrent, slowly, to avoid share a single byte that works.

Now the fact is: The files contain images with copyright, almost currently active on microstock agency's. Could bem someone take them from "free section"?

Should be taken any action? Sugestions?

General Stock Discussion / Re: Compare Your Top Earner
« on: September 27, 2011, 12:41 »
Low earner but have a top image too :D

IS better in "value" ( even with an EL already sold on SS ). Sadly, same image, is on top of FT too...

Honestly, at DT, when this mass rejections happen,  i don't worry much about ( not even try re-submit something ), because they refuse what almost ALL other agency would accept, but they do accept what all other agency don't accept LOL.

Low sales it's true ( for me ), but mostly are that "strange awful" images :D

For me as "newbie trying seeing the best way to get some results", it seems, that happens with all agency's without exception. Today is DT, tomorrow is SS, 123RF... and so on.

Before i go lunch...

I take on rar file that have files with around + - 2800x1900 ( military stuff ), but it appears that most files are "resized websizes".. really to bad quality.

Then i search one and hit:

http://www.fotosearch.com/PSK004/1574r-015383/

Who is behind fotosearch?

BTW i'm working in a "SS" file, maybe more information on it.

Sort of hard to fight but it would be interesting to know where they got them. It should be noted that one is identified as Shutterstock stock as a big chunk. Scary.

Some files named as Istock, Corbis, Sumstock (??) and so on.

Each torrent have several rar files, by category.

p2p it self isn't illegaly, so i'm taking some small files of part1 ( 100% leech , less a seeder ) and will check it for some clue...  No need take all 60GB.

Anyone doing something about?

Looks like a very risky download to me.  Probably comes with adware, spyware, viruses, keyloggers, and other nasty stuff.

If things done right, no need to worry about.

There is only way to know the content of it... Someone would check it.

Now the big question is: And if we find our images there? Send a DCMA to thepiratebay?

General Stock Discussion / Re: Guess who!
« on: September 27, 2011, 04:20 »
Well, as you probably guessed, the site is Fotolia.  Should perhaps not complain, as I do not have a top selling port like many others here and therefore does not have the luxury of being peckish where I get my pennies from.

x2

As "really small contributor", receive 0,25 at FT or in SS for the same photo isn't so problematic/dramatic, moreover they sell almost the same.

Now having same images on both, perhaps it's better "cut" EL for Fotolia...

Even I earn almost that for a single RF image on some "infamous" agency :D

My "unique" EL so far was 28$.

Image Sleuth / Re: Some opinion about image sleuth for a newbie
« on: September 26, 2011, 06:37 »
UPDATE

Send DMCA Notice of Copyright Infringement to hosting sites and act like a bomb with an sad exception : YaYmicro.

Too many images with yay logo being used for free for my personal taste, and to many time for removal.

My next step will be image removal from agency. Why? My theory is: If they can't get it free on YaY, they need "buy it" on another agency.

EDIT:

It's fair change my opinion, because only after do some work by myself, i understand how hard can be to any agency ( without exception ) look for all image sleuth.

One site in particular, only after an DCMA for company, hosting servers, and a lot of emails discussing who's the blame and even printscreen of web page showing image abuse, i get it "down".

BTW: there's any topic here ( or should exist ) to somehow show any sites using images from many agency's? Maybe would be interesatnt because, on my demand i see some other members works, from diferrent agency's.

I wonder if it's actually a template and the template seller has pilfered the images?

Dunno. As newbie, i just report to agency and contact site admin/company.

So far:

123RF: No reply from support yet. All images already removed and had one reply from blog site owner saying that they remove the image ( confirmed )
Yaymicro: Many reply's so far, confirming that images will be removed, but they still online...
ShuttherStock : No reply from support neither from site.. This image is @ http://www.serenelli.it/

Thats with 200~300 images/portfolio ( and not a dream one LOL ) .... now i'm wondering with great and better portfolios.

And we're talking about "watermarked" images.

Lorem ipsum' dummy text, looks to be a design test site, might buy those later if aprooved by the client. If theres a client : D

Maybe theres a client. All contacts end on same place:  http://www.linerit.com/

Maybe the test site is for their evaluation.

Now my concerns are about agency. Too many reports for one agency. My earnings there are "zero"...

For example, with other agency, I found one of my images in use, with agency watermark, but already sell "something"  ( and predict more sales ) over that image.

Image Sleuth / Some opinion about image sleuth for a newbie
« on: September 20, 2011, 14:36 »
Hi,

Only today I started looking for Possible use image, and in few minutes I detected more than 5 images used with agency watermark Being (That and I'm sure without an link to buy, so). Given that portfolios have around 200 ~ 300 images in various agencies, I think they are alarming numbers.

I report to all agency's sites, like did direct contact with owner's sites. Some agency's Already That said image removal will ask for or buy.

So my question is more Experienced Users: How Normally this end? Just image removal or get paid after all? It's better we contact site owner directly?

One of agency's, with the big number of this unique 0 Situations is my agency's sales LOL. By email Likely something I said, "Oh, I Understand now how have so many views in some images, and none sales"

I will give one example, because there is more images form other contributors

 http://www.serenelli.it/

(Mine is at "articolo 2," check others)

Time will tell if you are right CoisaX. I'd rather make less work for contributors so they can do other things instead of breaking down word meanings.

There won't be an edit option in the near future but it is something we are seriously considering and in the meantime you can email us to get things changed.

What do others think about the search engine and how it is working?

291
Istock working.

2 Year Revenue Estimate for all files no working.

292
I am happy to see that most users sales are improving.

I would say "very few users"... I work with 12 agencies,  top and middle tier and low earners, and still awaiting first "most sale" at Cutcaster ( menos at least one image per year ).  "Strangely is where I have "most files".  ::)

About new "system", my opinion is that should be us disambiguate keyword during upload. Why? We don't know used criteria by U and we will loose time with keywords that will not work as we expect.

EDIT: And when an option to "edit" aproved files ( change titles, keywords... ) ?

293
Apparently, the only change I see is having to login every time I open the page.

It's good to have higher commissions. if no sales at all? Even with images that sells on higher, middle and lower tier?

I started in the beginning of 2011, manly because reviews said with site update Cutcaster would  be an agency to take into consideration. Now, after a year, plus a makeover, and still all the same: it seems there are no customers.

It's online again... not sure if working.

Yaymicro / Re: Sales since technical problems?

The big question now is: The server will handle the obvious massive upload after so many time of downtime?

Yaymicro / Re: Sales since technical problems?

Strange, i'm sure that wrote something on this topic...  ???

No sales before technical problem, still the same after...

It appears that problem @ Yay is other than "server issues".

I had a sale at Bigstock this week I went out and celebrated enough said!

Mine ( and unique ) was last year, but not enough to spend in a party.

Shutterstock.com / Re: Are you experiencing MASS REJECTIONS?
« on: August 09, 2011, 04:16 »
Hmm, strangely, my last batchs are being accept by SS with a good rating, and full rejected by 123RF, Fotolia. IS is more likely 50% rejected.

For that reason i still prefer keep my work with more than one agency, because i never know which one will want a particular batch.

299
My images are still under review for 2 months...  ??? ???
I asked them nicely (though they mention, we can't ask why my images are not online),
but at least they answered, saying that they're having heavy upload..
  ::)

Their review time is one of the most delayed I've meet. Moreover its holyday season on germany ( kind of ).

General Stock Discussion / Re: PantherMedia review time?
« on: July 28, 2011, 11:44 »
Moving to another agency don't necessarily "means" fast review times.

I work with 13 agency's ( lol ), top four, middle, lowers.. and all of them have periodic "long review times".
