I had a 33.6% drop in shittystock sales however Alamy and Adobe were both up on previous years. Alamy up by 10% and Adobe by 30% Of the small agencies only Dreamstime showed any increase after a good few months before dropping back to their usual moribund state. The rest were crappy Over all though none of the positive results outweighed the loss from shitterstock. Commisioned work collapsed too no big surprise though

Yes I caught the buggers selling my photos on Alamy 6 months after I deleted my images off Yay
These shysters can't be trusted
That's rough! Do you have the link to their Alamy portfolio so we can all check?
No fraid not you will have to go look. I only found out when I started seeing two each of my photo submissions one under my own name and one under YAY Also Zoonar did the same thing

I suggest you don't click the link because it seems fishy (or...phishy.) If you really have to do an ID check, it should be accessible via Envato Verify. You should double check with support to see if the link is legit.
The email is probably OK when I found the Envato Verify webpage it confirmed I needed to submit an ID.

Wow, yet another one that instead of sending from the site or linking from the site, is using some outside agent that looks suspicious.
What do we expect from these agencies these days I even had to google "Envato verify" because its so difficult to find on their website

So I got an email today purporting to be from Envato with the title Your Envato Author ID Check
"In the next 4 days you must complete an Author ID check for your Envato account,
To complete the check you will need:
Your government-issued Photo ID (your Photo ID must have the same name as your Envato account and the tax forms you have provided). The ability to take a selfie on the computer or device you are using to complete the Author ID check."
However the links all pointed to a weird email "platformcommunicator.cmail19.com
Anyone else received this and is it legit?

another try with the attachment
You should use your full name not a psuedo name as the copyright owner. Copyright status "Copyright" This is for your own records only as the agencies generally remove this data anyway

Bad Robot, you say on one side:
#NO filenames have no bearing on SEO/ranking/google ranking#
But then you write: # I just name the file and add metadata as I see fit# Name it in the meaning of changing filename with keyword title? For what, if it have no bearing on SEO... Or name it in the meaning of title in the metadata?
# I add copyright info including name contact details etc in the metadata and I've never had a problem# Strange that we have different experiences. I will give it a new try with some other images. But in my case indeed all with copyright names disappeared directly. If no copyright name, but with producer name, no problem. But it might be also a general problem of reading the stocksubmitter metadata for wirestock. The keyword order I used in stocksubmitter, ALWAYS changed to the opposite on wirestock - most important keywords appears at the end. And sometimes they are just mixed without any rule. Also for that I send them example images and they are still investigate it.
I name the files according to my internal filing system For example Cake 1, Cake 2 for photos of cakes Dog 1, Dog 2, Dog 3 for photos of dogs File names have no influence on SEO I think you are confusing a file name i.e. Cat 1. jpg with an Image Title and Description which is in the metadata of the file i.e. Filename Cat 1.jpg Image Title could be "Cat Eating her Lunch" Description could then be " A tabby cat eating her lunch from a bowl in the kitchen" The agencies and google do not use the image file name in SEO However agencies and Google will use the Image title, description and keywords in SEO

Does anybody rename filenames with a text like a title for getting better SEO / ranking / google ranking? NO filenames have no bearing on SEO/ranking/google ranking
Deposit advice to do it. Depositphotos do not advise this
AND about copyright / producer information: wirestock blocks all photos which have copyright information - just found out myself. And other agencies just change it to i.e. NAME-adobe or they take out of the copyright information - see other threads about this. All agencies strip metadata except for title, description and keywords In this case, what are you doing? I just name the file and add metadata as I see fit
For wirestock take the information of copyright out to get it uploaded - and same for other agencies, who might not accept files with copyright information? I add copyright info including name contact details etc in the metadata and I've never had a problem
Most dont touch the producer field, which at least still shows, who did the shoot. Is that really enough for us contributor? If its not then don't submit files
And in case of google for the future, which needs the copyright information. Does it mean, we have to stop uploading to selected agencies who not caring about our copyright information to get a better ranking on google?
Google would get the copyright flag from the image provided by the agency your last portion makes little to no sense. Any agency can supply the image producers name if required

Thanks a lot!
They are now called Ingram Image Holdings LTD The VAT no I found is GB 657592589 https://eori-search.co.uk/GGxX_Ingram+Image+LTDWhy not call or email them to confirm However if their turnover is less than 85,000 per year they may no longer be VAT registered I am curious though as to why you need their VAT number?

I just reactivated my images to meet the 50 dollar payout threshold. I had 1700 images before deactivating them and now only show 117 for licensing.
Isn't minimum payout $35 now? Just mentioning that in case your goal is get the money and leave.
It certainly is $35

The sale implies complete copyright transfer for all images incl. source files and accounts transfer on all microstock sites. To get more information write us at [email protected]
I'm not a spambot or something. But please use email, we will not provide more details here.
Thank you.
So why is it up for sale?

Intelligence I think you'll find! But yeah, just as low as your Kool Aid comment, but you decided to forgo the wit. Still, you deserved it... providing $0.01 being 50% of $0.02 as some kind of evidence that Elements don't pay out 50%?! Surely you weren't being serious?
If you want to discuss the ups and downs of such a low rate per download, then that's fine... but don't use something that works out to 50% as evidence that its not 50%.
Yes I know I paraphrased Oscar I really couldn't care less

Just remember the only reason you get 0.10c per download at the highest level is because you allow it. It's not the fault of Shutterstock, it's your fault. Blame nobody but yourself.
I don't need you or anyone to remind me. I spent the last two years caring for my elderly 80 year old mother who had cancer and died recently of lymphoma. Stock was the only option besides doing commision photography which collapsed during this pandemic. It allowed me to spend time looking out for her while earning a crumb. I needed money no matter what. Anyway Mama is gone now and I try to rebuild whats left of a shattered life. So thank you I know its my fault

Well just 1 download needed to make it from level 4 to level 5 ~ so with only 1 month and 9 days left I'll be on 35% or 10 cents per image download. Then get sent back down the snake to level 1 15% on January 1st.

$0.01 revenue per image is 50% of $0.02
Now you're getting it! Percentages can be a bit daunting at first, but looks like you're nailing it now... good job.
Sarcasm the lowest form of wit and the highest form of ignorance

I am not sure why is deleting almost every video footage? How is your experience? I made $70 $ today on Adobe with same video footage deleted on Envanto today. Almost nothing is accepted, very LOW LOW profit, I think absolutely wasting time. Even if accept this footage will made him other 10 years made some similar income. Hello Envanto, it was November 2020 today Thank You Adobe.
Of course its a waste of time but their management would have you believe they pay excellent rates and help people get hospital treatment. Its a rip off they know and we know it.

Yes, they want high quality content and they pay between around 35% (non-exclusive) and 50 to 70% (exclusive) on the Marketplaces, and 50% (non-exclusive) on Elements. Crazy cats.
50% on Elements?? Yeah keep drinking that koolaid $0.00 revenue per image sale is 50% of nothing $0.01 revenue per image is 50% of $0.02
324
« on: November 19, 2020, 13:10 »
and of course you can set your own prices but DO NOT sign up to Envato Elements (if they still give you a choice)
Envato Elements you'll get paid peanuts $0.01 or even $0.00 is very common even though they are as picky as hell what they will take quality wise.
This a company that wants the moon on a stick but is not willing to pay for it.
