I think we've heard but two of many forthcoming "thanks but no thanks" responses. But if Stocksy is indeed very specialized, then I wouldn't worry too much about them influencing sales on the other micros. Without that broad mix of images, their buyer base will be just as niche as their collection.
If Sean Locke is going to be one of their contributors, they don't sound very "specialized" to me. Other than the fact that he is one of the top stock photographers in the business.

I am curious.. have you noticed that they want to see portfolios on non-microstock sites? What did you send them? Portfolios on microstock sites or 500px/flickr?
I sent them links to SS and my personal website. SS is my biggest monthly earner, and I wanted them to see how successful I am there. Of course, if they are only interested in exclusives, then I'll have to pass.

I didn't put watermarks on mine, but I think that was a mistake. Anyone know if you can retrospectively add watermarks to existing images?

What I am not afraid of though, is the new cool kid, "Stocksy". The tide is turning for creatives (hopefully) as we begin to demand fairer treatment and better returns and here comes Bruce with his new venture. He made it cool to be the underdog amongst the traditional closed-to-newcomers RF/RM stock world with the "designer's dirty little secret".
Stocksy is going nowhere as from a buyers perspective it has no reason to exist, it's just yet another micro agency with the same micro photos seen anywhere else and similar pricing.
Buyers couldnt care less what we are paid, they only look at value for money and rightfully so.
Hopefully, Stocky's leg up on the other agencies, is the history it will have on marketing and sales promotion. It has a proven legacy, and it's hungry to prove itself again.

Well they certainly won't make any changes if nobody asks for it. They have to be made aware of what people want. Maybe generate a buzz. Get people talking.

Can anyone suggest photo pricing for Pond5? The other threads seem to concentrate on video, but I'm curious about photos. $10? Is that the highest or lowest someone pays? What percentage do we get? What about the checkboxes that say "Set price for me", "Same price for all sizes"? Should I check one of them, and what happens if I don't check any of them?

That's the missing link! If you go to the contributor tab, hit your online files, you will see a link at the top. If you click the "member management area" of that like you can get to that old area - but I can't find the direct link in any tabs.

If you wana make a sound that Istock can hear...delet you acct. thats the only way to get respect. your deactivating a few files is a joke.
I don't think deactivating any amount of money making files is a joking matter. It's a serious income loss. A lot of us aren't doing it as a protest. We are protecting our work. If, in the future, a new deal is made that won't give away our photos, or strip the metadata, then we'll still have an open account.

If someone takes a screengrab of that image for a blog or facebook so be it, they can never get a 40*60 inch print from a screengrab. It might just be enough to stick it on a postcard.
The problem is that a lot of my sales are of the small size. The screen grab is bigger than the small size on most stock sites. So, if you can grab an unwatermarked "small" size, for free, why pay for it from a stock site?

I tried uploading several photos from the web uploader. All said they uploaded, but only one showed up in the "needs edit" window. I edited it, and it is now pending. But, now when I upload photos, the window says "uploaded", but when I go to check my uploads, the only image that shows up is the pending photo even though the "status" indicator is set to "all".
What am I doing wrong?

I'm a bit late to the party today, but just wanted to agree with others that I think Paul's idea about people deleting at least one image so they know how many people are upset and paying attention is brilliant!
But, by deleting one photo, you are leaving all of your best sellers vulnerable to be sold to Google and given away for free. They are cherry picking the best ones, and there are no signs, that they won't ramp up that process in the future. Paul's idea won't prove worthy if you lose some of your best sellers forever.
