The owner of the land, Google, invests what he does not have and more in trying to track the crime of hate speech in the EU. track and track for fake news. They are not able to see it clearly, and they would like it very much.
If SS used AI to give access or not to the archives in its library, minorities, religion, certain social groups and some country, they would have already exposed their complaints and possible diplomatic conflicts with some country.
The language is very subtle, and I firmly maintain that the examiners are human. It has no SS capability, nor means of AI in file exams. In addition, it may take decades to get something in this direction to start a path. Decades
The AI can't understand a picture today. I am not going to ask you also, that as you learn you will be looking longer if you find a file that you like very much, or get to love. Nor will I ask the AI to exclaim WOW when he finds a sexy robot.
If they had AI to decide on files, the SS would have more value than Google, Facebook, Whatsapp, Instagram, APPLE, Microsoft, ...
The new owner of the planet would be SS.
"Nor will I ask the AI to exclaim WOW when he finds a sexy robot."
LOL!!!!!!!!

Both have been normal for me.
I'm getting paid back, relative to what effort I put in. When I work harder I make more. There is no SS vs AS for me because the images are different numbers, different content and different subjects or styles. Some sell better or worse at each. SS is same DL #s as the past, lower RPD. Adobe is steady RPD, less images, less sales. As things look right now, early in the year, and if nothing changes, (new CEO at SS) Adobe will pass SS in the poll here by June. That's assuming everyone reports their earnings honestly. The change is inevitable. AS 33 - 66 - 99 subs, (bronze entry level until 1000 downloads) while SS pays 25 starting, 33 $500, 36 until you reach $10,000 then 38 cents after that. Easy to see that AS subs, at entry level, pay back higher than SS 38 at the top level. $500 is pretty easy, then consider how long it takes people now, to reach $10,000 on SS? For 2 cents more? That's around 27,000 downloads to the top level, for anyone who cares to project their future at SS.

The Yen is mightier than the pen.
"Shutterstocks road to China began around 2014, when the company struck a deal with the Chinese social network ZCool Network Technology to exclusively distribute Shutterstock images. It was a foothold in a potentially huge market, and Shutterstock invested $15 million in ZCool in 2018."
Exclusive?
Additional: Getty Images... also distributes material in China through a local partner company, VCG. A search of VCG for Taiwan flag produces zero results. Adobe Stock... is available in China, and a search on its site in China by NBC News also found zero results for Taiwan flag.
"Shutterstock regularly receives take down notices from more than 20 countries, not including requests related to intellectual property, spokeswoman Hughes said. The countries are primarily in Europe, Australia, North America and some in South America and the company addresses hundreds or sometimes thousands of requests a year."
Pavlovsky ... employees have a lot of opportunities to work here, to work elsewhere, and we are very supportive when employees do not feel that this is the right place for them, to pursue other opportunities. I think he's as transparent and honest as any of them asked for.

I got a very kind email from pond5 support that my account has now been opted out of Hyperstock.
Ill check in a few days if my pics are gone and will post back here.
How can you check if your images are gone when there is no Hyperstock site yet? How would anyone find their images or how do I find if mine are there? Seems a bit mysterious.

I have a strange decline in views since beginning of december....... I usually had about 800 views per month and it suddenly dropped to something like 300... Over the last 4 days there were only 15 views of my pictures.....
Has anybody else noticed something like that as well?
I mean I dont really sell much stuff on Alamy anyway but if nobody even views my pics I might opt out as well......
No, my views are stable, and for some reason my CTR is relatively high (for me). (I see it was high last Jan too, doesn't necesarily mean anything, though: I have no sales this year so far, which is my slowest-starting year since 2012).
This is terribly not related but I wanted you to see the post, since you do searches for... searches, views, All of Alamy and that kind of thing. I never knew how much we could sort and control the results.
https://www.regular-expressions.info/quickstart.html
| (that's the pipe symbol) can be used as OR in a search, % seems to be what we'd normally use as a wildcard like * in other searches. I bookmarked this and maybe some day I'll learn more. But mostly should be useful for Alamy searches?
Yes, you can search e.g. % New York, because although searching New York would give you New York theatres, New York shops, New York parks etc, it wouldn't show e.g. Manhattan, New York or Central Park, New York, so if you're looking for searches on New York, you have to do both.
Yes and reading the details with the either or search, specific words and all the potential, pretty good. The problem is, most buyers and users will never learn or use all these available tools. But I know you are interested in the search and how agencies have vague search qualifications. What shall I say- Alamy is performing great since they were sold..... Had a 188 $ sale today, a 36 $ sale last week, views went up and CTR is 1,03 for me now.... Amazing. Such a change. There must be a whole new bunch of clients after the sale. Buyers who like my kind of photos.....
Maybe you are watching too close? One message you say your views are down and you are thinking of leaving, the next you are seeing them as preforming great, since they were sold. From the usual reporting times and buyers, considering the sale just went through, do you really believe your sales upswing is because of new owners, when nothing has changed? Alamy is slow to change, slow to report, slow to pay, and for all of us, sales are not consistent. You had low views and you want to leave? You get some sales and everything has changed? I think what you might consider is, the flux and variations in sales, also regions and returns, at Alamy. I know I get a $120 sale, or two, and then the next month 3 $3.63 or $11 (those numbers are gross) downloads. Followed by nothing for two months. Alamy is highly irregular. When buyers need images, they will buy them. When they don't need what I make, they don't buy them. I don't actually watch CTR and views, which maybe would be good for finding what buyers are looking for. I do what I do, upload what I like and that's been the same since 2008. If you are like some others and follow the trends, then that's good. If you create new based on trends and views, that's good too. Good as a tool for making new images. But watching my own views and CTR, just to watch, has never helped sales in any way. It's more like, watching the pot boil, when you could just turn on the heat and go away for 10 minutes, then see if it's boiling or not? Watching or not, doesn't change what's actually happening? Here's to more sales like this month and maybe some of that success will spill over to mine?

Sometimes my pictures go to AI. A few seconds and rejections. Sometimes go to humans. More time and almost no rejections, but they are helped by AI too.
Is that a fact? Then what happens when I get accepted in a few seconds, is that AI too?
Do you have an inside source at SS that gave you this information?
well in did get this from one of their insider
"If you have not a similar image in your own portfolio, It's probably because there's another approved image from another contributor that is very very similar to your photo to the extent that the image processing software has been fooled that it's the same photo! You can try again one more time and if it was rejected again for the same reason, then I'm afraid that there's no way to add this photo to the library."
Adobe has said the same when I had one rejected that was nothing like any of mine. I don't find the information controversial or a discovery? I don't get that kind of reject, rarely for a series of shots, but apparently some people who upload gross of Lego People, find it upsetting. Or maybe someone with 50 poppy photos or how many marijuana bud shots, before the buyers have all they need? Yet on SS, the AI (yes I admit there's some software finding these to notify the reviewers) will find a blue and yellow boat, and start deciding all blue and yellow boats are similar. It's not very smart. Here's an example of dumb AI similar detection So no I don't disagree and yes you are right, similar can mean someone else uploaded something similar and the agency thinks they have too many already. FT before Adobe, rejected something I uploaded. I appealed and got this personal response from the reviewer. "too many like this and they don't sell well." Nice that some individual's subjective opinion can decide what they accepted and what got rejected.

I always figured that as it stands for Graphic Interface Format it was a hard G from Graphic.
It seems that the GIF originator and Jif peanut butter people, don't actually agree. I'd have to read the correction and the story again. Oh wait, yes they do. Sure is confusing. " in the eyes of the creator of the GIF, Steve Wilhite. He declared in 2013 that the acronym GIF should be pronounced Jif." To be honest I've pronounced them both the same, and I don't eat peanut butter, so no bias.

Hi Everyone,
I've scheduled a webinar with our Senior Product Manager in charge of search this Thursday, February 27 at 2:30PM PST. It would be great if you can attend. We'll do our best to take as many questions as possible during our 45-60 minute conversation about Adobe Stock search. How you can use the tools to your advantage as a contributor at Adobe Stock. I hope to see you there!

In case I can't be there. Are Titles Searched or not?
I'm sure they said they were during the Keyword webinar... if the top 10 words or in the title then it gives an additional boost (provided you have 49 or less keywords)
I thought that too, so why this? https://www.microstockgroup.com/fotolia-com/search-not-working-properly/By the way, yes I am positive that in photos, the Title is searched. I have some pretty distinctive images which only have a specific word in the title only, not in the keywords.

Which of the other major sites have similar opt outs...does Adobe?
So no other sites have sensitive use opt-outs?
Honestly, with the terms and use, maybe someone can explain what this change actually means. Was there a way to license images, outside of the blanket restriction? SS you may not: Shutterstock images may not be used together with pornographic, defamatory, or otherwise unlawful or immoral content.Adobe, may not: (d) use the Work in a pornographic, defamatory, or otherwise unlawful manner; (e)use the Work in a way that depicts models and/or property in connection with a subject that a reasonable person could consider unflattering, immoral, or controversial, taking into account the nature of the Work, examples of which could include, without limitation, ads for tobacco; adult entertainment clubs or similar venues or services; endorsements of political parties or other opinion-based movements; or implying mental or physical impairment;Oh edit, I can answer my own question, I found it. https://www.shutterstock.com/contributorsupport/articles/kbat02/000006549?l=en_USAre there any restrictions with a sensitive use license? Shutterstock will not license Content for use in connection with matter that is pornographic, defamatory or deceptive, or in a manner that could be considered libelous, obscene, or illegal in nature.

If you no longer rely upon income from your microstock, you have jumped.
What if I never did? Microstock paid for these: and this: I'm not sure I ever made a real profit, like a business would through legitimate bookkeeping, expenses against gains? I'm pretty sure I never got any useful income from Microstock, because I used money for discretionary spending. AKA squandered it on equipment and scotch. I think there are many others who never relied on income from Microstock. Can't jump ship, if you never got on it?

Is anyone else opted out of sensitive use and enhanced licenses on SS? (should be SOD?)
I just got the email that they are no longer permitting it. I'm upset as the royalties for EL's are extremely low. They use to be awesome but those days are long gone.
I feel like more changes may be coming too with the new shakeup. Any thoughts?
Nope I wouldn't get that, because I'm not opted out of anything. But mark me wrong, as they left that out of the new TOS and I supposed it was just an oversight. WRONG! Can I use Images for sensitive subjects? All Images: Shutterstock images may not be used together with pornographic, defamatory, or otherwise unlawful or immoral content. Using images may also not be used in a way that infringes upon any third party's trademark or intellectual property.
Images With Recognizable People: There are additional restrictions if the image depicts a person who is recognizable:
tobacco promotions
ads for adult entertainment or similar clubs and escort or dating services
political ads
implying that a model is sick or took medication
defamatory, unlawful, offensive or immoral content--for example implying that a model is a criminal or suffers from a physical or mental infirmity.
However, you may use images that do not depict a recognizable person.https://www.shutterstock.com/support/article/Can-I-use-Images-for-sensitive-subjectsI don't know why we'd have to opt out of sensitive use if it's not allowed anyway? Or does that mean, even though it's not allowed, someone could license the images, with permission of SS as an SOD? I'm happy I don't really shoot anything that could be abused, easily. Yes, I'd agree, more changes likely. I'm not looking forward to the next surprises. Shutterstock 60.2 AdobeStock 58.3 Just marking that poll rank at the end of a month, instead of the first days.

40 votes with a 1.4 rating. There's a message in that?
Where do you get the stats from?
Oops, sorry, I probably just skipped Canstock messages and marked the forum read. Hover the mouse pointer over the agency name on the list, on the right, and you'll see the numbers. Might take a couple seconds to appear. I believe the threshold for appearing on the top or middle is 50 votes. You'll see something like this, votes and a relative earnings number. All the agencies with no number showing are ranked in order of reported earnings.

I'm not sure what the problem was, but a server reset fixed the issue. I could have fixed it earlier but I was away in a place without internet so i didn't know about the issue until I came back
Looked like this. From some searching (I don't know what this means) "disabling Anti-DDoS protection of LSWS solved the issue." And from Cloudfair: "your origin server is resetting TCP connections during the SSL handshake, so the handshake fails" but reading the error screnn, that could be a different issue. Here's one more. https://support.cloudflare.com/hc/en-us/articles/115003011431-Troubleshooting-Cloudflare-5XX-errors#525errorError 525: SSL handshake failed
525 errors are often caused by a configuration issue on the origin web server. Error 525 occurs when these two conditions are true:
The SSL handshake fails between Cloudflare and the origin web server, and Full or Full (Strict) SSL is set in the Overview tab of your Cloudflare SSL/TLS app.
Resolution
Contact your hosting provider to exclude the following common causes at your origin web server:
No valid SSL certificate installed Port 443 (or other custom secure port) is not open No SNI support The cipher suites accepted by Cloudflare does not match the cipher suites supported by the origin web server
If 525 errors occur intermittently, review the origin web server error logs to determine the cause. Configure Apache to log mod_ssl errors. Also, nginx includes SSL errors in its standard error log, but may possibly require an increased log level. If you can get your host to increase the log level, maybe they can see what's happening?

Bluto: Over? Did you say "over"? Nothing is over until we decide it is!Yes, to all those who have resigned to the position I accepted some years ago. Whether that's 2 or 3 or 8 years ago. I'm only in this for the entertainment, challenges, inspiration or making ideas into images. Anything I make is nice to have, but I'm not going to expect much or depend on any of that income. That and I can still eat what I shoot and hope to offset the cost of my meal? The grilled bratwurst I had for lunch at the races, has finally been paid for. Uploaded 3/13/15 earned me $5.16 Plop and Shoot, natural Sunlight. I just read my words from all those many moons back. Boy, was I teed off. I've since come to accept the fall. The rise was too good to last, and too many copycats jumped in thinking they could steal our ideas and strike it rich. They may not be swimming in cash like Scrooge McDuck (if there's a goddess in heaven they're not!) But they sure did screw up the search results and push down the work of the old timers (first time I've ever called myself that... yikes!) Anyhoo, I've taken some deep breaths and decided to keep feeding the beast on my own terms. I cut way back on my uploads and the work is far more enjoyable than it was at the peak. All in all, that's a trade off I can live with. The free fall in my earnings has leveled off, and I'm calmer now. Life is too short to worry about dollars over all else.
As long as I keep enjoying it, I'll stay on the ship, and if it sinks... well, I'll just doggy paddle over to the nearest island and reflect on what a nice cruise I had while it lasted.
You have always been good at record keeping, for your own work, observing the market and ethical effort, with hard work. If anyone is proof that the market has changed and not some wild conspiracy being the cause, you are that person. Treading water or swimming against the current, drifting down the river on a lazy afternoon, in the Sunshine, never give up. However it's also good to see the truth, Microstock isn't what it was when we started.

You don't have "vaccine" as a keyword. Titles aren't keywords on Adobe. Add the words, and it will show up.
Does that mean that titles are actually useless on Adobe stock?
That's a great question. Google will index the titles, so they aren't useless. However, even with that on site and did you look when I searched, instead of you searching inside your own portfolio? Tiny Url = https://tinyurl.com/rdvy9gdDid you look at that? Yes to the others who suggested every word in your title, should also be in your keywords, including IN

there is only one reason people bying content: they need it.
its your fault if you offer too cheap.
if content gets withdrawn and put to a reasonable place, buyers go there -simple as that
btw, just wondering, usually if someone comes up here with words like fair, idea, union... this forum outrages freaking out
But I've said from the start, if most of us, stopped supporting the low paying and parasite agencies, they would soon be gone and the better paying, serious sites would thrive. Adobe has shown us that a big agency can be fair? I won't upload to anyplace except SS, AS and Alamy. When I say, drop the bad agencies, the cheap ones that only sell on price, or avoid the agencies that we can't trust, you know what we heard? I need the money, I can't leave them. So there goes any union or demand for fair commissions. The artists themselves will not join in and fight for change. Being rational and seeing reality, how we are powerless, and there's no unity, is not freaking out. One more thing, anyone who starts a union, whether it's pay or membership, all they need to do is find a way to force the agencies to listen and negotiate. You tell me how they get that power to set terms, and we're there.
