I'm not sure I understand this one:

"Pricing
Seller may price their works at any pricepoint they see fit. Stocktal do not assess nor control the prices you sell at. However the default pricing is there for those that wish to remain within the uniform stocktal pricing model. Be aware, Stocktal may seasonally adjust our standard pricing model to reflect trends. This adjustment may affect all sbmissions, even the ones not following our default guidelines. You may need to individually adjust your prices back to your price point."

I've set up my pricing higher than micro, should I expect changes without my permission?

Btw, thanks for approval :)

(Some) photographers after x years: I don't like your terms and conditions. I want MORE and since many other photographers are in now I make less money. You solve that for me and I don't like you anymore!!!

Maybe... Just maybe it has something to do with competition. No 'cap' or algoritm change. But better images competing with outdated images.

After x years this ~0,30$ doesn't mean much, it's not the same value as years ago.
Everywhere I worked, every job I did, after few years I had rise. Usually once a year. It's normal.
On SS I don't remember any rises in last 6 years... Now, why people want to earn more after 5-10 years? Answer is pretty easy :)

And one more thing. Micros want more and more better and better and bigger images from the best and newest cameras. But they cut our % or $, or just don't rise it. Something must be wrong here. Are we getting closer to charity work? In some cases we already are.

At first I thought it's another cheap site where pricing starts with less than $2. (Can I set up my own pricing here?)
But I can see it's for the 100px file. What on the earth are that sizes for?  :o
Large and HD are almost the same here! HD in 1024px?

Mini Web Thumb       89 x 100 px     $1.95
Small Web              179 x 200 px    $2.95
Big Web                 804 x 900 px     $9.95
Large                    894 x 1000 px     $12.95
High Definition       915 x 1024 px     $29.95

How will you compete with other micros? You are cutting away from clients who want large formats. Less clients for you.

And one more question:
"Download 500 Free Images Now- Full size, full licence no cost - start here"

All uploaded images are part of this party? Or free images section somewhere there? What is that?

Some first technical questions.
Do you offer FTP fast upload?
Do you read IPTC?
Do I have to click on categories, countries, camera model ect? (wasting time)
Can I upload oryginal size files?

August 10th I uploaded one photo to check this site how it works. Image is pending review still... I sent at least 2 messages to them asking why so long. No reply...

Is it alive? Knock knock, anybody in there??  ::)

382
Well, you're not reading carefully this forum. I wrote about my closing account some time ago (as many of us here) to warn people - do reach 50$ 01, do payment 02 and then close account 03. It's your money, but DP don't respect that nor you.

Hard to believe still how blind and naive people are...

After 5 months I have zero sales (Total pics views: 350) so far. How are you doing here, guys?

Question to the owner - is there any chance that vertical images will be smaller? Now they are huge that it exceed my big monitor... The watermark is poor still and I'm waiting to upload hundreds of my images to you. Any hopes for changes?

... Guess I'm just sick of spending hours and hours uploading to sites that end up showing pathetic sales at the end..

Yep, and it's getting boring a bit...

"You set the price for your media. Buyers pay what you want them to pay, and you can change the price of your items whenever you like.
You keep 70 percent commission on all sales; unheard of and unbeatable in the stock industry.
You receive monthly payments with no minimum of earning."

Oooh, I like that, good start!
Is it really for free??

Anybody else having problem with FTP connection? It shows error and starts connecting again and again searching for catalog...

387
Change your price for every resolution to help you sell your work.

I'd like to know how can I set up my prices once, so I don't have to edit every single price for every file in each size? One bulk option available? It would save a lot of time. Same with country, categories, editorial option...

388
To many photos online. To many agencies (destructing competition)...
Not enough clients who need our images (ready to pay quite serious price).

 what sollutions ...

Good question.

Weird, when deleting my images (ouch my fingers!  :'(  ) I can see

Uploads: -41

:o  Does it mean I deleted more images than were in my gallery?  ;D Still something left to disable/ delete here...

I have my lesson to not upload to the site that makes me deleting files one by one. Must be some joke.

They do not offer a possibilty to delete some images in a bulk - and when you have some thousands online it takes you ages to delete these.
This is so unserious!!!!!

DT is a waste of time.

That's what I think, uploading here is waste of time, ... and so I stoped uploading 6 months ago in the end. Today I want to close my account and what? I need to waste my time on clicking one by one each file to disable? Like I have nothing better to do...
Come on guys, this is sick! You let us upload in bulk, but closing account is some horror here. I wish I could turn back time and never upload here... regrets ::)  >:(

I can't find my images on pixmac, though I opted in through P5. How long does it take or how does it work?

Alamy.com / Re: Review time
« on: August 18, 2014, 23:26 »
Almost exactly 30 days after your submission, you will get a reject. They will only give you a reason for the one image they are rejecting. All other images in that batch or submitted between that batch and the rejection will also be rejected. It is one of the frustrating things about working with them and there are several threads on their forums about it.

I was rejected once, over a year ago. I got that info second day after uploaded batch. I could upload next batch the same day (so I did). When I pass I usually get info in two days too.

In last column of Media submissions named Status (Terms explained) you can see little "i", click it and you'll see all images rejected, but the bad one will have Rejection reasons visible.
Mine was Noticeable retouching  and yes, I'm glad they found it. My mistake.

The way Alamy review has plus and minus:
plus - they can accept much more images than if reviewing one by one. It would take months to review every single image...
minus - you can make a mistake and upload bad image and it'll be on sale soon, but... it's your gallery, you are the author and it's in your business to put only best quality images that can sell.

Glad I'm closing my account here soon.

Alamy.com / Re: Alamy- Tips on getting Sales
« on: August 08, 2014, 00:31 »
Till July I sold more than in whole 2013. It'll be BYE :)

My tips:
- take a photo (what photo?*),
- prepare it (IPTC with perfect title, description and keywords when post processing),
- upload (about 10-100 in batch),
- repeat all above and don't look back over.

For me it works quite well ;)

To be serious. It's not a magic trick. I wrote about it before - I had better sales after delete some images from micros. I take care what is zoomed (your account in Alamy). Micro pricing is against my business in that case.

* Various photos! One of last sales was image of garbage in water, river after flood with plastic bottles, cans etc. (for $125) Few days later some tulip flowers growing, herb plant as well, food isolated and not isolated, ... RF and RM, doesn't matter.

May I see what kind of images you have? How many files in portfolio? PM me?

In that like moments I wonder if they want to buy files anymore. Look, they already get free images... Many, many free images available... Why I do think so? I read forums, I read clients... Welcome to the reality  :-\

Btw, last file I sold 9 days ago (and I used to have almost everyday sales, sometimes even few daily).
