Is it bad that sales on every sites going up like universe expanding? I shouldn't have wasted my time trying to answer your question. Bye Bye.

ok, also not what i meant, i meant, do you see a decline at ss which is compensated by adobe earnings or are your ss earnings the same/up and your adobe earnings go up as well? basically, do you make more money between adobe and ss or is the money between the 2 agencies the same now? i am trying to figure out if adobe is taking earnings from other sites.
Sales on all other sites keep increasing as I keep adding new contents. Only the VideoBlocks' growth kind of stopped for a month or two now. How's yours?

If it's because of Easter, I feel better now.

Is it because of the new subscription package hurting non-membership clips sales? I'm very concerned.

Now that pond5 is actively driving producers away, it would be great to see growth on Adobe.
But I think unless they add editorial, they will never have growth rates like Shutterstock.
However, they really have an opportunity because pond5 is treating people badly.
That's right. They don't take any editorial footage/photos.

My sales with Fotolia are doing a lot better than SS. FT is my 2nd venue now. Still a ways behind my best selling venue but my portfolio on FT is much smaller.
The other benefit for me of FT is that the images that are accepted the most are the ones I most like to shoot whereas with SS I find myself going for something less exciting to me as a photographer.
That's amazing. Still far behind SS and P5.

Finally it's happening based on my sales growth this year. I hope this growth will continue for a while for Fotolia/Adobestock video sales. Anybody else seeing the similar growth there? I'm seeing 4 straight months of rapid growth which I've never seen from Fotolia. It had been up and down slow growth before.

I had the best sales ever in this February. I don't know what they did, but it's great. How's everybody?
Congrats! We are yet to see how new web site, memberships and new management will perform in coming months.
As somebody said, it's make it or brake it for P5 this year, otherwise no IPO anytime soon, which is investors ultimate goal.
I do support re-branding. Old logo looked rather cheap and childish.
New site looks very pro. Hope new recruits there will also be pros, because without professionalism, they won't go far.
Time will tell...
Thank you!! I like their new website layout. It's more up to date and sharp looking.

Delete. My comment was about images and I see this is about video.
Do you ever sell photos at Pond5?
I was on pixmac, and when p5 bought them, my portfolio sold thru p5 for over a year and did real good sales. But they shut down pixmac months ago and never did transfer the images to p5, even though they offered the service and I signed up for it.
So unless I want to start from the beginning uploading over 6k images to p5, I am SOL. I am not motivated when they could do it easily (my images were showing there before, why'd they take them off in the first place?) and I can't be bothered.
What's P5's photo sales license term equivalent to like Shutterstock's? Enhanced license?

I think nobody should sell a 1080P HD clip for less than $50 unless it's unusable total crap. You'll make more money pricing somewhere between $60-$90 and Pond5 may promote you more because they'll make more money too.

Just got an email saying that they miss me. I have about 300+ clips online with them and haven't had a single sale ever...
Just had a look at my "stats" on my Clipcanvas profile and have had 25504 views and not a single sale. Am I missing something?
Maybe they are making money from your clips, but you aren't. That's why they want you to upload more!!! LOL.

Those commissions are impossible in microstock. There is no point for a comparaison here, the two business models are at the opposite.
So, Getty is not a micro stock? I don't understand the difference. You get commission as you sell your clips, right?
Good point. 85% of my clips never sell. So, putting the niche clips on Getty if they accept is a good tactics. Getty is rights managed (RM) or macro as well as royalty free (RF) micro. However photos sold as RF at Getty can often get a lot higher commission value than the typical micro site.
Generally speaking micro photos/footage is high turnover for low value sales. Macro (RM) is low turnover but for higher value sales. Therefore when you have photos/footage of obscure animals or any subject matter that is unlikely to be in high demand, it is pointless submitting it to micro. However these days RM agencies are few and far between and Alamy is the go to agency for most. Unfortunately Alamy struggles against the power of Getty so sales figures from Alamy have always been poor.

Yes, but at the same time, I have a huge number of clips that never sell.
Do they sell the clips for Getty for much cheaper on iStock or other sites?
No, Getty's contents are not on iStock, only the other way around for iStock exclusives. And it seems that they use partner sites as they call them "Partner Portal" in countries where they don't have a representative office @ whenever I have sales in Turkey, Romania, Cyprus.. Prices in Turkey are same as GI US but Romania and Cyprus are way cheaper. I don't mind about that.
Great. Thanks for the info.

85% of my clips never sell either. I think it's normal that way.

Yes, you cannot.
I only work with Getty so I don't know how it would have been at SS and P5 but indeed it is far from microstock's volume of sales.
Do you have any clip that sold like 5 times in a year?
