This is ridiculous. Their price for full HD clip is supposed to be $65 and 30% of it is $19.50, I only received $10.90. They explained to me that the calculation is correct because some buyers buy credits at huge discount thus contributors get much less than we are supposed to get. I removed all my video files after confirming with 123RF that that's how it is at 123RF. That means, they sold my 1080p full HD clip for only $35 just because the customer bought credits at huge discount. I removed all my photos from 123RF too because I don't trust them anymore to protect us contributors. Please be careful if you decide to sell video clips at 123RF because you may be surprised to get much less than you were supposed to get on a particular transaction just because the big customer bought credits at a huge discount.
Here is their response to my original inquiry.
"We would like to apologize if there was any confusion. Your Earnings are based on the cost of credits used to purchase your content. The more credits a client purchases, the cheaper it is per credit. Sometimes the cost of the credit can go very low as the client purchased a very large amount of credits at a time(big Company), but we have a threshold on the payout when we pay our contributors which is 0.12USD.
As for your case this is the calculation:-
Earning = 10.902
Royalty tier = 30% (Level 1)
1080p Footage credits spend = 65 credits
Earning by cost per credits= 10.902/65 = 0.17 USD (per credits at tier 1, 30% royalty split)
Your Earnings $0.17 is already above the level 1 tier threshold, which shows that the calculation is correct.
Note : Sometimes the cost of the credit can go very low as the client purchased a very large amount of credits at a time, but we have a threshold on the payout when we pay our contributors."
