Hi, can you guys tell me it free collection was for Photos or Videos?
Check out the name of the topic, dude...
legitim question. illustration and png files were also included with me. i assume that there won't be another round. except for videos
I think we should have 2 more rounds, vector and illustrations and after videos. I know for sure that we still will have another round because I still have in the free collections vectors and illustrations selected from last year, while photos from last year are already removed from free collection and are now in sale again. Probably in July vectors and illustrations and in August videos.

No errors here, just the email arrived early this year, usually the email arrived after the money was credited. So I confirm,as far as I'm concerned they only accepted half of the content for the free collection compared to 2023. In any case, this week is one of the best weeks ever in terms of sales, which balanced out the negative result of the free collection. In conclusion,I definitely expected more from the free collection, but I can't complain,I just hope that sales continue to go as well as they are doing this week. Keep it up!

it may be an error, given that the images from last year included in the free collection have not yet been removed.
if the email is correct,as far as I'm concerned they accepted half the content compared to last year.

In my opinion "blvdone" did an impressive job. There is a lot of work and sacrifice in generating and improving thousands of AI images that are in his portfolio, which was already a high-level portfolio before AI. Furthermore,in my opinion "blvdone" was good because moved quickly, long before me and many others in devise, generating, indexing and uploading thousands of AI contents in very short time. So credit where credit is due! You can thank me by PM me your dealer's contact information!

Wirestock can probably be defined as a "sub-agency",an agency that distributes content to other agencies.
But defining Wirestock as an agency is not wrong in my opinion, because if I'm not mistaken they also have their own direct sales.

I tried wirestock a couple of years ago, after 2-3 months I deleted everything and closed the account, and judging by the gains I see from those who use it I have done well.
When they went pay, I left the account active. I still have around 500 images, which are distributed to sites where I have no account. 123RF, DP, Evanto, a bunch more, in other words, everywhere except SS, AS, AL, IS and DT. And some of those have rejects and other files, activated for sale, from WS. Odd how that works? Rejected personally, but accepted at WS and the agency that rejected the image?
It makes me as much a year as IS, which is a nice bottle of single malt. For free, I do no work, I'm happy.
But I wouldn't pay for the right to upload or have them do the keywords and distribution. Maybe some other people find it a benefit? I'd have to have many more images, to make it worthwhile.
Of course,it's all subjective in the end,it depends on what works for you,or simply what you prefer to do.
as far as I know, based on what those who use wirestock say, more or less you get 10usd a month for around 5000 contents, then maybe clearly this will be different for someone I don't know.
what I know, and that's fine with me,it's just that it's not worth leaving content on display for thieves and copycats if an agency makes so little, not to mention the waste of time it takes to upload and all the various problems it can cause, such as in this case the free collection without pay.
If an agency doesn't make much money,it's better to let it go than settle for crumbs and have too much wasted time and various problems.
Wirestock isn't an agency, they are a distributor to agencies. You can't blame Wirestock for thieves any more than the actual agencies, which are the same as we upload to and the same as they distribute to. If you make $10 a month on WS then you would make $10 a month on your own. Wirestock is not an agency.
as I said:"it's all subjective in the end,it depends on what works for you,or simply what you prefer to do". as far as I'm concerned,I had an account on Wirestock which I closed,I simply don't like the idea of a single portfolio for all contributors, and I prefer to upload to a few better agencies, where I don't need to give a part of the royalties which are already generally low. and allow me to add that Wirestock's behavior in this case was certainly not the best, have decided to add contributors contents to the free collection, without asking and without payment, contents that have not been sold on their platform, but which are not necessarily unsold on other agencies. if they want content to be given in the free collection they must give contributors the opportunity to choose and above all they must pay.

When I signed up with istock I just used my old university (chemistry) alias. I had no idea it would be a career...
I guess I am lucky I didn't sign up as pinkyteddy99... or thevomitingunicorn or jumpingblackspider

A "normal" week of a "normal" month just ended up on Adobe Stock.
Number of sales this month so far is very similar to the number of sales in June 2023,this last week will be decisive to see if there will be an improvement compared to June 2023.
The results for the free collection should also be available this week.
Lately I've been uploading a lot of various types of content, the real problem and the real challenge is finding the time to do everything.
Regarding AI,up to now I have sold more no people content.

Pond is terrible for images, for videos it's a different story,I have an open port on Pond since 2019 but I no longer found the time to upload there too.
DP is better for photos, compared to Pond5.

No updates on this. I have around 700 files waiting and half of them are waiting more than a month. Never happed this before to me. What's wrong with Adobe ?
I understand that it's not nice to have finished content waiting, but since you've already had 4200 content approved in a year I think you can now wait a month or so,I don't think it's anything serious.
You've only been a contributor on Adobe Stock for a year and you already have more than 4,000 content for sale, isn't that enough?
I only make $5-7 a week , do you think that's enough?
it's your first year, microstock is a marathon not a sprint. anyway the point is that you have already had more than 4000 content approved in the first year, now even if you have to wait sometimes a month or two for review I don't think it makes much difference, your content will still be approved shortly.

If you ask me if I think I should sell more,I would answer yes, like most contributors.
I'm not saying I should sell 5 times more or more, but I think 2-3 times more would be more fair for the amount and types of content I have in my port.
In the big picture I can't complain,on Adobe this month I'm average, and I'll probably end the month with a profit compared to June 2023,and also in the other few agencies where I still have an active port,it's not going so bad,on SS this is already the third best month of the last 15 months.
so,at least for the moment, everything seems normal, not great but OK.

perhaps it would be appropriate to make a button on each device and keyboards, a large button with "UNSUBSCRIBE" written on it! I had a paid Adobe All Apps subscription until the end of last year, upon cancellation, for me it was all very simple,I was offered 2 months free if I continued the subscription, furthermore if I decided to cancel before the end of the subscription,I could do so,paying I seem to remember 50% of the remaining months. All very simple and clear like drinking a glass of water. Regarding Midjourney there are perhaps many things to say,but the clarity of the subscriptions is not in question, even with Midjourney everything is done very clearly regarding the subscriptions, just as it is clear that the images generated on Midjourney are public,MJ it is intended to be public, and is clearly specified.

Yes I do. I didn't know that. So the PNG's are sold as optional JPG's even if I didn't upload one? Amazing!
yes Adobe is amazing! now they just need to update the terms of illustrative editorials and start accepting editorial videos, this would also be amazing!

I feel "sorry" for Adobe, because this is what you gain in this world when you try to be fair and honest. people complain that they can't cancel an annual subscription on Adobe products? But don't make me laugh please it's a joke! first of all if someone agrees to sign up for an annual subscription,it's all written in the terms, everything very clearly, and then they should be grateful that Adobe gives the possibility to cancel an annual subscription by paying a penalty which I think is 50% of the remaining months,so they should be grateful that it is possible to do so,because they have signed an annual subscription. then people complain that "it's difficult" to cancel a subscription to Adobe products,I have always found everything extremely simple and clear, never had any problems. I often paid the monthly installment late, never had a problem. it's a similar discussion as it is also written in the article, for Amazon, which was accused of being difficult to cancel a Prime subscription, another huge nonsense, because it has always been extremely simple. then people complain that Adobe allows the creation of img to img, they complain about copyright infringement and they complain about everything, then when Adobe updates the terms to be able to start solving many of the problems that people complain about, then the people are complaining because they feel outraged by Adobe's attempt to address the problems that people have complained about before! allow me to say that I really find a lot of irony in all this!

do you mean how to describe a PNG file?
I only write the description and then write "isolated" I don't write PNG and I don't write "transparent" because the PNG files are sold to customers both as transparent PNG and as JPEG on a white background.

slow week for me too so far,but my sales numbers for this month seem to be better than the same day of last month,so nothing serious for the moment, even if the start of this week is really very slow.

360 nominated,i removed those that were already in the free collection for last year. i believe that we will all have 5 to 10% selected, perhaps someone can reach 20% selected among those nominated, but i think it will be difficult. If they accept all 360,that's fine with me,there is a lot of equipment I would like to buy!

last week I had the best week of the last 11 weeks,I'm not saying it was an exceptional week but OK,in DL numbers,Instead regarding earnings the week at the end of May was better.
you have 4200 contents, for how long? How long have you been a contributor on Adobe?you have AI only or even real content?
95% real photos. Been a contributor for 1 year now. Seems now I have passed 2 weeks into he queue for real images. Where these are approved in couple of days on shutterstock. Becoming really frustrating with Adobe.
Since you have only been a contributor for a year it is normal that you may have some off weeks. Of course it also depends of what you have, but imo you are doing well, because you have uploaded more than 4000 contents during the first year, you will see that you will have many more sales in the next years because you have started well, the contents are still not ripe enough after one year, and your choice of more real content is better in my opinion. being an AI producer means having at least 7-800 content approved per month,it's not easy and involves the fact that there is no time for anything else. I see AI content more as an addiction to my port, but my real work is with real things. Don't think about review times, keep producing,a couple of weeks or a month what difference does it make, while they approve, hundreds more have already been uploaded!

editorials are about 9% of my portfolio on Adobe and accounted for about 12% of my total sales.
on SS I sell 5 times more editorials compared to Adobe, usually at lower prices than Adobe, but not always.
among my 50 best sellers on Adobe 10 are editorials.
I also want to add that one of the most important differences regarding editorial between Adobe and SS is creativity.
on Adobe you can be more creative with editorials, while SS is more traditional in editorials,or more retro-style if you prefer.

i'm sorry for your loss.
about review time,It's been the new normal for a few months now, reviews of any AI and non-AI image can take up to 8 weeks.
if you exceed 8 weeks of waiting for the review I recommend you use the support form found at the bottom of the portal for authors by choosing "contact us".
