Warning: a little rant They took this one down originally for being a Motorola Razr. So I sent them a email back explaining it's a Sanyo Katana. They reply: "Thank you for the reply. We have carefully reviewed the matter and understand this is not the RAZR, however after much consideration and as it is a product shot we feel at this time that we cannot accept it due to trademark concerns." So I just ended it with: "This is nice to know because just a quick review of keyword "cellphone" returned quite a few Motorola Phones along with other identifiable models. I know because I used to be Level 3 Cell Repair Tech." So now what? Should I stop uploading cell phones due to this crap. That, to me, is F'ing stupid.

Since your backed up... try a program called ComboFix. Should be only 2 sites you can dl it from. It's free and its great for getting rid of trojans and other forms of software junk.

Never heard of them. What can you tell us about them? Any Info? What are the licenses selling for?

Look at that persons collection. Anne Geddes, Nat Geo. I wonder if the person even owns a camera.

What lens would you recommend to do Macro and Portraits on a Motorola Razor? lmao.

Just my personal opinion... I would hold off on Shutterstock until you had about 100 good images that are reviewed and accepted on another site. That way when you pass the initial review... you can take advantage of the "Honeymoon" period there. That Newbie Exposure is great while you have it.

I would say the D90 just because of the in body focus motor. It opens up a wider variety of lenses for you.

No problem. Had to check to see if you commented in it before. Since no comment... though you would like to.

Still no money for me there. Oh well.

Also, use that 30 days to build up some more pics. That honeymoon period will be more enjoyable with the more approved images you have.

When I was going, I was training to go back in the US Army. Now that Degen Disk has kicked in.. no more of that type training for me.
#1. Monthly Fee...no contract. If I made it back in the Army... there would have been no use in a One year..or even 6 Month Contract. A Small Private gym had a Monthly fee and that worked great.
#2 Think I covered this one.
#3. A Running Treadmill and Various Machines due to not having a Spotter. That would be useful for someone who works out alone. Oh...a Large Trashcan close to the equipment. On one Torture day (Strength and Aerobic round robbin) I was glad there was one close..and I am sure the Cleaners appreciated it too....lol.
#4. Have no clue as to what that is.

Here's an idea. A search on iStock for "rake in the cash" or "rake in the money" turns up zero results. Get to shooting!
Illustrated business cliches seem to do pretty well.
That would be funny. Put it in the members only section about a topic of the month and the MSG members flood that niche on every site.

Found this Associated Content Article dated Dec. 8, 2009... (Big Edit... I said Associated Press...oops Associated Content.. sorry) "Typically, stock photography sites are the most common method to rake in the cash." "Some photographers make thousands each month from such stock photo websites." http://www.associatedcontent.com/article/2468166/how_to_make_money_with_photography.html?cat=3I am not raking it in. I am getting probably lawn trimmings...lol. Glad I didn't believe the hype that is out there. If I had the unrealistic views that's out there on the web, I would have been very disappointed and given up in my first 3 months. With the realistic views I found here and on MS Forums.... I know I am in for the long haul and I know I have to work for it.

epantha , we're not trying to fool anyone here and want to be completely honest as to what we are and aren't at all times. I think it's fair to say that we aren't the best fit for all contributors and we aren't here to make any a millionaire overnight. But please understand that a site like ours only works when we do have the full support of our contributors. The idea of "waiting on the sidelines" with partial support just doesn't work. I can't force you to keep adding your photos (nor would I want to!) but I know that it will be worth your time as we grow throughout 2010.
Partial Support??? In my situation, I don't have thousands of images to upload. At the time I stopped uploading, you have my full port.I might have about 30 - 40 more images I could upload since then. I don't shoot alot... just in sporadic periods. Back to Partial Support...I gave you everything I got, not just part of my port. So why is it not fair for me to sit back and wait and see if something comes from this? If I even get 1 download, that's enough for me to get my new stuff up there. We are in this to get paid. Money is the Motivator. If we were not in it for that... I think Flickr (and other free hosting sites) would be very very very crowded by now. I hope you succeed because if your making money... then the contributors are making some too. Hopefully, I would be riding that wave too. As you stated, Sites don't match with every contributor. I speak for myself. I give time to every site I upload to. If they don't perform for me, I don't upload anything new. After that then its watch time until I decide to pull my images. If no sales in 6 months... most certain to pull port so I don't have to spend time checking it.

I opened my own account here and started playing with it today. You can pw protect a gallery (folder) or multiple galleries plus you can set your own prices... to a minimum point. It not bad at all for a free gallery. You can customize the storefront and set your own watermark for the previews. 300mb storage limit for free accounts. You really might want to check this place out for yourself. Sign up and dl the software and start playing. It surprised me for a free account.
