...But it's gotta be something... some algorithms i don't know...
Chasing algorithms theories for me it's a completely waste of valuable production time, but hey. It's just me
So what's it gonna be?

Hey Matt,
I can't seem to find a way to sort my portfolio on Adobe Stock. Eg: I want to find a specific file in my thousands of online files, I need to go through each page at the moment - correct?
I think we really need the ability to search within a portfolio by keyword, id number etc, and then be able to link from the search results to an image asset page where we can edit it if we need to.
I think for me this is the number 1 thing I would like to see at the moment.
Cheers.
@Microstock Man, you can search from within your portfolio at Adobe Stock. The search needs to be through Adobe Stock however and not the portal. The way to do this is to click the "Contributor Account" link at the top then click "See my public profile" in the upper right corner.
From there, any searches you conduct will only produce results from your portfolio.

Hey Matt,
Thanks for answering everybody's posts.
However, I think you missed a key part of my post. You are indeed correct that from Adobe Stock you can search a users portfolio (which I had already done before making my post).
However, unless I am missing something, from viewing the user's portfolio in this way there is no way to then edit a file's details. I can license my own image etc etc, but can't edit it.
Thats what I am wanting - a way to search my portfolio for a specific file AND then edit that file.
If that exists already please tell me how to do it. If it doesn't exist, I think its a pretty vital feature that is missing.
Thanks Matt.
Yes you can from your portfolio.
Title and Keywords can be edited - just click on the field and the edit function becomes active.
Photobomb - can you explain more? So you're saying after SEARCHING FOR A PARTICULAR FILE, which Matt says has to be done through the customer facing portal, that I can edit it? I have just tried and clicked everywhere and still can't see a way to edit my files details?
I get that I can can scroll through endless pages in my account page, but I need to be able to SEARCH for a file first, then edit it. Thats what I am missing.
You are correct that you can only edit through your account page. You can't search your portfolio, you'd have to scroll through them to get to the image you need to edit. Sorry if it was confusing.

I commented on her blog and sent infringement notice to SS. She has removed all the watermarked images already.
She wrote: " dear readers, this is the writing revision, alias all pictures of shutterstock.com will I delete, because I judged to have infringed copyright (deh anyway).
So ... I apologize for my impudence and inconvenience you-you all"

So I'm thinking it's still the same situation? I have to deleted about 200 files and it's a giant PITA, lots of mouse moves and clicks and it jumps back to page 1, file 1 each time. Does anyone have any tips?
This doesn't save clicks but you won't go back to page one: Right click on 'Index File' - open in new window. Select the file (check box) and click link to 'Delete Selected' (will highlight after selecting image) Close page, repeat.

What they don't say is how much they are clawing back. We cannot determine which images were sold during that 12 hour period, we only have what they say we should have been paid. They can take back what they like and not have to prove it is accurate with any sort of sales record provided to us.
The email I got said exactly how much in $$ they were taking back - not the # of images though.

well that blows - for anyone wanting to buy or sell AT&T images. Add the word 'phone' to the search it helps.

Just got this from ShutterStock:
Dear xxxx,
Last week, we had a display issue that affected your Contributor Dashboard. The issue caused your earnings for each download during a 12-hour time period to be doubled. That 12 hour period was from 9:45pm Eastern Time on Thursday, August 11th to 10:30am Eastern Time on Friday, August 12th.
We have fixed the issue, and, in the next day or so, you will see your earnings for August corrected. The correct amount you earned for August 11th and 12th during that 12-hour period is: $x.xx.
As you know, we are investing heavily in upgrading the technology that powers Shutterstocks infrastructure, website, and mobile apps, to deliver improved functionality and a better overall user experience.
Thank you for your understanding.

I just did a quick search - assuming you mean the company that starts with "T" - I got 95 pages of results no shirts and easily found one of yours on the first page. and there are others upon further scanning.
edit: Did their Auto-complete function default you to t-shirt instead and you just didn't notice?

happened to me recently and this is the reply I got when I complained about it randomly happening:
"You are not able to permanently set defaults for your upload preferences. Generally the system will remember what you set for the previous image but if you accidentally click yes, the setting will change. I see you have already deleted the file so you should be all set. The image wasn't made available for download as only 3 images from our entire collection per week are available for download in the free section."
I've never set any image to free

I saw that and found it odd phrasing as well. But if its 10% then the person with 22000 images would be able to remove 2200 in 90 days followed by another 1900 the next 90 days. A lot less time than the 7.5 years calculated by someone else.

i have read it again, and i think they actually say you can remove 100 images in any 90 day period, so you can remove 33 images per month, still takes you 7.5 years. maybe write them an email asking if you can speed it up. feels like they're holding you for ransom
Actually if you read it, it states: e. You may remove Content from your account at any time, provided that in any ninety (90) day period, you remove no more than (i) 100 items of Content; and (ii) 10% of your Content, whichever is greater.

Any thoughts on rebranding? I always felt that "leftover" lowered perceived value.
Well, they rebranded as GL Stock Images.
Good news about the grandfathering. I don't see that anywhere.
It was in the email i got.

I deactivated all pending images last night - no problem, and several recently accepted images this morning - no problem. And just deactivated another with no problem.

Sometimes yes - sometimes no- Works best when the camera battery has a full charge. edit: Depending on what Nikon model you use and if you do downgrade try this free app http://www.sofortbildapp.comIt worked great but not with El Capitan or my d750

OK, now I'm really curious. I'm gonna check some of my images. Where did you people, who are missing keywords checked for them. On a page like the buyer would see the image and keywords or in that section, where you can edit your keywords (Approval status/Approved images...)?
I don't think that position of keyword matter at SS.
I checked via the buyer side and through the Catalog manager. I can't find any images with changes - meaning missing keywords. And keyword position at SS doesn't matter.

We have discussed "auto inspection" at SS for the last couple of years. I think this scenario pretty much shows that they are using automation for at least keywords and titles and maybe a few main image features like sharpness, which seems to be a common rejection reason for sharp images.
definitely, mantis. check back on your approved images, and be shocked of how some of the keywords are sliced off ... i was shocked to see how many of my images were left with only a handful of keywords which could mean no downloads.
sharpness too. try even having a slight motion in your image, to show panning or action of the subject..and it is rejected "out of focus". resubmit it with sharpened edge, and it gets approved. or perharps, resubmit it without any change and find a new reviewer and it gets approved too.
hint - skip the weekend reviewers IF WE ALL LEAVE THEM WITH NO WORK, THEY MIGHT JUST QUIT ON THEIR OWN
Totally. That is happening now. I could not believe it....until yesterday when I went back to look at my CSV file and compare to my existing files. Low and behold half to a third of my keywords on most files are indeed missing, especially my older ones that I am re-keywording. And might i say some are MAIN keywords that are missing.
Well this caused me some concern - but I have just spent a fair amount of time checking images - old and new - and I don't see any evidence of this at all.
I don't know how it happened, only speculating that it is an auto-check of some kind. But it is strange that I would put in 40 keywords (from my CSV) and only 10-15 are in the file. Last week I spend hours redoing a bunch, then I got burned out and quit. But there are a lot of my files that are awful, and strangely, lean on key words.
What kind of Files? - mine are all photos uploaded via the site uploader.

It's a separate issue - the email is about Titles not keyword splitting.
