Over month ago I closed my account at FT where I had only one image. Now it's available in Alamy only... Few days ago I sold the image at Alamy for $125. It's one of many examples when I remove(d) images from micros and sold it in nice price with Alamy.

In Alamy case some refunds make more money - client buys the same image for more $ few days/ weeks later. It doesn't mean loosing money every time. I never noticed the same with micros (you can't control it here).

 Thanks all of you, it's very nice... I'm surprised of your comments! I don't really treat my images as some special art or worth to try Stocksy gate, and I know my style and gallery is far from St. excpectations, just tried with "what if somehow they will accept....?" That would be funny and weird accident in my career  Tried for fun, not expecting to be accepted specially. I earn money with other agency. Selling with St. would be like playing and fun, trying new - nothing more. Will I try again? Who knows... If I will, it's gonna be impulse only, just like this time  There are so many great portfolios in this forum, people do wonderful work and they are succesed somewhere else. This is great that we all find best place for each other! However, I wish you good luck if you really want to work with Stocksy. But, never forget why you are doing this, why taking photos. Find your own style and go on with it - never loose your way I lost mine few years ago (wrote about it here and there before). I was taking photos close to Stocksy style, free and real shoot, not watching the photo rules... Lot of sun, happy people, sweet animals, ect. Then I started micros and that was it. My images changed, no artsy, only products and studio shoots. Wrong way, wrong decisions...

.. how long does it usually take to get an answer? Mine have been sitting there for a week and I don't think that's a good sign.
The wrote somewhere on their website review will take 1-2 months. In my case it took 18 days. It's not my style really and the answer was obvious for me "Your Stocksy application was declined. Our editors felt that your images weren't what we were looking for in our collection. It was a difficult decision, but we only have room for a small group of contributors. We wish you the best in your future endeavours and we would be happy to look at your portfolio again in a few months.
Thank you for taking the time to show us your work."

Months ago, after DP action I opted out everywhere I could. Then I closed many micro accounts where I had doubts.
Now if I want to joy any new agency I make sure I have control over my work, they must be not less than 50% com., and I'm not interested in $1 for DL. No partner programs again!
Did I see any changes in income? Yes, for better. It was worth to leave some low % payers to get more somewhere else... I wrote about it in other thread.

Ex., client didn't use the image so he don't have to pay (it's normal). Get used to or leave. No more options.
And yes, Alamy is professional more than all micros together!

Few months ago I closed my account and today I got email message that I've sold image  How long do we sell images after closing account? How can I check what's sold? Edit Ok, I have found that it'll take up to 6 months to remove images from partners... 6 months...

Still waiting for my money. How can I trust agency that says I'll be paid in 1 week or it may take to two weeks, but waiting third now with no "sorry for late"...

... if you have the same photos on both, buyers may well find them elsewhere - I've had lots of RF zooms on Alamy purchased from the micros the same day, so that's something to consider. Same here. To many coincidences to ignore it. But I removed images from micros, Alamy still pays better.

With DPC, Fotolia have effectively declared war on my business. They are not 'my agency' - they are my enemy. For me they are just history... And about clicking... do you know that FT will pay just once if you click? It doesn't matter if it's one or 100 clicks/ person (comp)... They pay only one time.

That group you posted seems to be "stuff iS would have rejected in the old days". Yep, for this few last years I was learning how to take and choose the best images for sale in stock industry. Thousands of similar images moved to trash because of LCV. I have a huge lesson to remember now! Never ever delete images!

Set up your authorial fantastic website, upload the best images, lots of images! Find clients directly and you will forget about micros soon Case is more complicated if you sell standard micro images like people isolated, backgrounds, etc...
