Beneficial to me. I moved all of my best sellers to E+, and those are still the ones that get downloaded the most. I think at the dirt cheap prices buyers are getting, a few dollars more isn't a deal breaker. Especially at the big advertising agencies, where thousands of dollars are poured into a campaign.
Wish I could add more.

Let me help with a little hint here: "Poor Lighting--Poor or uneven lighting, or shadows. White balance may be incorrect."
Apart from the arguably blown-out stalagtite (oh sh*t, it is tights come down or tights go up?) if it were sharp, it would be acceptible, unless you submitted it as editorial to iStock, when they'd ask for a permission letter. If you submitted it to the main collection, it would be fine.
Stalactites hang tight from the ceiling. Stalagmites might grow up to the ceiling.

Works great, and best of all no Captcha!

Yep. Just when I thought they had taken a professional step forward by doing away with it. Sad.

Workflow will vary day to day. Just deal with whatever mood you're in.
As long as you are organizing don't neglect to back up your files to two different external drives. One on sight, one off site. Remember, all drives will eventually fail.

I use Adobe Bridge. Create a folder titled Stock Illustrations. Dump everything you intend to upload into that folder. In Bridge you can add keywords and you'll have the ability to sort your files by name, date created, date modified, file size. etc.

Well, call me confused over the unofficial announcement of the demise and condolences about Warmpicture.com. Why is it buried in this thread? It's still live. I still contribute. It's all very confusing.

I'm a big supporter of the PNG format. I've loaded up most of my portfolio as PNGs at Dreamstime with their additional format option. I sell about one or two a day mostly as subs, but they might have chosen it because of the format. You never know. As a buyer, it would always be my favorite choice of formats.
does that mean you are selling them for 35/70 cents?
Sadly, yes. 70 cents. That's what happens with the subscription model. Still waiting for the motherload.

I have another question, when saving in photoshop there is the option "Embed color profile" should I tick or not?

It's a little on the dark side. Brighten it up and resubmit. Something like this.

Like others have said, do not bother. I quit them a while ago because they are not worth my time due to absurd rejections and very, VERY long review time.
Sites with attitude

On Pinterest, if you type dreamstime into the search, you will get a different page from your link. Also, as you scroll to the bottom of that page, you will see photos that aren't linked back to Dreamstime, but have the word "dreamstime" in the copy.
I forgot to mention that I was logged in, so your return might look different than mine.
I did the search, as you said, and yes, I do see different results. But I still see only 1 page of posts. Isn't there any way to see ALL images that have been pinned from DT? In other words, if you do a search for an image on DT, the search returns say 20 images, but then there are more page numbers to click. Nothing like that on Pinterest?
grafix04...that is just incredible. Multiply that by what, thousands, tens of thousands daily?
I contacted Pinterest asking how see more pages in my search. The emailed me this automated answer: - Search is a feature we are working on a lot behind-the-scenes, so not all pins are being surfaced in search results. Much of this has to do with new features were putting in place to detect spam and as we fine-tune this process, we apologize if your pins are not being shown.

@rimglow - make a search after "remote control isolated" on SS, you'll get nearly 5000 images. HOW MANY of these do you think they want? You need to expand a bit.
I think there are 2 kinds of LCV:
1. This is crap and will never sell 2. Could sell loads but we have plenty already (HCV for contributor but LCV for site).
So....Shutterstock's new ad campaign should be "Limited Content for Limited Brains"? There is only one kind of LCV. Images that haven't sold in 5 years. If you want to weed out content, then it would be hard to argue against removing those, to make way for fresh material. Just don't have a reviewer try to be a marketing genius.

Hi Scott,
Any news from the review team regarding my photos?
Regards,
Nick
Sorry Nick. Looks like I'm highjacking your thread. I'll get off my soapbox now. I got excited when I saw someone from Shutterstock respond. Good luck!
