If I'm being honest I suspected all along that October royalties were not entirely kosher. Its just that I wanted to believe IS had finally pulled their socks up and were generating real folding money again.
In hindsight, perhaps people would have been better off keeping their cake holes closed and leaving IS to find the error sometime in January 2064

When an organisation makes an announcement about irregularities that may very well affect thousands of people, the word on what is being done about it and when should be coming from the top not some keyboard masher in the rank and file.

I thought today was was a good day photographing bottles of whisky. After seeing this I'm going to drink most some of it.

2. I trust the IT experts and accountants at iStock as far as I can throw them.
Knowing IS, the IT Expert (singular) and the accountant are one and the same. There are no angels in this business - but none can match IS's talent for buttering you up one minute and pulling the rug out from under you the next. Charlatans.

Talk about a leaky boat. I hope this isn't another fraud.
This stuff gives me the shivers when it affects my livelihood, not to mention my imminent tax declarations. At the very least IS should be contacting contributors with a proper explanation, action plan and time line for their investigations.
...... but I doubt we'll get anything other than a few fatuous remarks from their forum poodle

In the bird picture it looks like sharpening has been overcooked in camera or post processing. This has caused some artifacts on the bird's fish/prawn. The text on the bible also shows signs of sharpening and looks slightly unnatural but....if I were reviewing I'd overlook that.

Vain cries for a response over on the IS forum, what with everyone prepping for the big night.
People forget, only emergency services and nuns work the same hours as stock photographers.

Slow and Low....like my dancing.
I doubt IS will elucidate on a weekend.

Merry Christmas and a Prosperous New Year to all.
......Although I may not be here when her indoors discovers one of her presents is a pair of oven gloves*
*Revenge for the odor eater shoe insoles she bought me last year.

4 editorials rejected for model release and trademark.
That's a poor review if submitted correctly as editorial, not to mention a waste of your time. PS. At least you had a review. Your mate Barry will be a fossil by the time he gets his stuff looked at - apparently.

Dear IS,
You'd think by now we would shut up about the PP and just accept that it may or may not be paid by month end and if it isn't then you'll let us know something we already know.
Its just that these days I rely on the generosity of your PP buyers to make it worthwhile continuing our sordid relationship.
Perhaps instead of opting out of the PP it could be arranged for me to submit direct to the partner sites and opt out of you?
Merry Christmas

2013 was my most successful year since starting out in 2009. Microstock is about 35% of my income, the rest comes from from other self employment (non photography) but the plan is to turn photography/design into 50% or more of my income in 2014 which would allow me to spend more time with the family.
The market is unpredictable....I haven't read an accurate assessment from anybody on here, in a blog or in the press in five years...so I won't even go there.

Grim month. However, if October was a trendsetter for the PP then I should see my Christmas stocking filled with more goodies than last year.
Must remember to put a mince pie and a noggin out for Santa just in case.

The thing about the sales pattern with DT is that there is no sales pattern with DT. Not for daily or weekly downloads anyway. I only get into a flap over quarterly/annual results which are both up year on year.
Stick with them.

Just when I thought it was going to be a zero year a sale comes along....for 0.18 Euros
I should reach payout by 2068 - which means I'll be able to make a down payment on a new air freshener for my flying car. Luvlly Jubbly.

I also have a very high rejection rate at the moment, I thought it was because they knew I was giving them stocksy castoffs....
Your folio at Stocksy is first class. After five years in this biz I still find it hard to take when talented creators* are talking about high rejection rates. But it won't change. The volume is too high, the investment in quality too low and its cheaper and quicker to sell a cow than a Ferrari. * I include myself in the mediocre but persistent talent school

Another item ticked off on the "To Do" list. Good work chaps. Very well done....but there is still plenty to do before I get my pom poms and short skirt out. Carry on.
PS. I am neither a denier or a malcontent but I do expect to get a "professional" service for my agent's commission.

2nd best week of the year last week but given the approaching festivities I doubt I'll top last month's BME. Don't have enough baubles and glitter in my port to attract the last minute Christmas shoppers but you never know, I have been a good boy this year and Santa might be generous.

Very sluggish - the lowest earner in the Big 4 so far this month. Hopefully the PP will produce some treasure as per November.

Hi all, Anybody got any reply yet on their Offset application as contributor? Cheers
Anybody know if they are making sales in any reasonable volume? If they are I'll get off my arse and invest time/money into meeting their criteria - otherwise I'm not that bothered about joining the club.

The secret is to buy a poodle and shoot it every which way, without worrying if it looks grey or blown out or in need of a bath.

Good business move as far as I'm concerned. Creating another revenue stream is better than flogging off stuff wholesale for a one-off compensation or giving non-sellers away for free. And if it picks up I can stop uploading to some of the walking dead in the middle tier

Apart from one or two exceptions I can't be bothered to do anything about, I'm exclusive to the top and middle tier these days. DP isn't responding to my increasing portfolio so I'll probably give them a rest for a bit.

I dropped them back in 2012.
For me they quickly became one of those numerous low earners whose marketing strategy seems to be - "if you build it they will come".
