oscarcwilliams, do you give away your work? Why don't you upload your entire portfolio to free sites? Surely it serves as inspiration for many others. Or you may want to charge some money for your work. Just maybe.
The difference is Oscar didnt give his work away for free, suck people in, then monetize. He is selling microstock, he always charged. You are comparing apples to oranges. Should people come here trolling for customers, when its supposed to be a forum where people help others? Just like the guy selling books.
Trolling for customers? Oh c'mon its a couple of bucks! Get real. Don't like it then don't pay ~ just don't keep expecting people like Steve to give advice for free to his competitors.

Steve puts a lot of effort into his work so he should be recompensed
Whats a few bucks to most people a mans time should be worth paying for just like a plumber, lawyer, doctor, etc

Its a simple process to click a keyword to make it a super tag.
I've just checked and I can click a keyword to make it a super tag, I am also able to add and remove keywords and change the description and it saves OK.
Of course it does take up to 24 hours for their server to update the changes.
I can't imagine what is wrong with your account/method

Just uploaded the wrong file in error, and I'm searching for how to delete the image, which is sure to fail, before it gets to review. Clicked all over, I can't find out how? Anyone know?
You can't you have to wait until the image goes thru QC if it passes then you have the option to delete it before it goes on sale

Question is why.
Not really much of a mystery, methinks.
Over the time it takes each one of us to earn $100 there, Dreamstime must make one helluva lot on the float.
These days it takes me a year to earn $100 on DT

Have you checked:
a. Your tax details are they up to date? b. Your payment details to make sure it hasn't been hacked/changed?
Got mine on the 8th

December was the worst in 5 years and this month looks like it will be worse than December. Something has happened for sure

Alamy
Alamy's cheapest are $20 and these licenses are either for personal use or Presentations and newsletters.
https://www.alamy.com/download-packs.aspx
Nitpicking but these packs are of two (or ten) images, and the OP specifically asked for price of a single image.
Nitpicking? No not at all quite right However I'd rather see someone buy an image for a reasonable amount than get one and pay pennies for it. $10 a piece is not an unreasonable amount

The requested URL was not found on this server.
Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.

The most I ever made with BS is $161 in 2017 since then it collapsed even with constant uploading last year I made $61 with over 2,700 images.
It's now officially a waste of time uploading there.

I now offically have the worst earnings since 2014.
It's collapsed by 20% and SS and Alamy are the worst followed by the debacle at Envato
what happened at envato?
They introduced a share scheme in 2017 which shared 50% of customers unspent subscription revenue equally among all contributors which they then changed in June 2019 so instead of getting around $250 to $300 per month from the bonus scheme I among others now get nothing or next to nothing. They also sell your stuff for $0.01 in a lot of cases. So instead of up to $300 per month I now get $10 for December

They are selling our products too cheap.
In that case don't use them to sell your products and if you have a portfolio with them delete it.

The details are as follows:
Country: Worldwide Usage: Editorial Media: Editorial website Image Size: Any size Start: 01 November 2019 End: 01 November 2024 Czech Republic, Editorial website, Bulk Discount, Flat Rate
Whether that $3.19 was gross or net, there have been lower (I've been below 70c net) The key is that 'bulk discount' thing, and all I've had or read about have been to Eastern European buyers.
Usually distributor sales ~ I got sick of them giving my photos away for pennies so I pulled out of distributor sales in April. I recommend doing the same come April 2020 which is the next oportunity to withdraw.
