Payment sent adjusted down only about $1 which seems okay. Hope you get it sorted asap Wilm, that's a terrible result.

Adobe Stock just continues to decline for me despite continued uploading (as the trend line shows). Shutterstock is running at 537% better that Adobe in this current month.

Second best month but RPD down to $1.63 in September vs $2.97 in August (which incidentally was my BME on iStock).

Shutterstock is down this month but it's not terrible, just too many low commissions. Pond5 is leading so far this month due to the much higher commissions.

Adobe Stock / Re: Adobe Stock Free Collection: Video Nominations« on: October 13, 2022, 03:20 »As I already wrote, the price suits me, but the number of selected videos by Adobe categorically does not suit me. You won't earn much with that amount. The other consideration is, even if you nominate all your videos selected in this first-stage selection process, there's no guarantee (and I suggest it's very unlikely) all your selected videos will qualify for the free collection offer - except for the better, more saleable clips at just $8.00 each for the year. One video sale to a customer will often eclipse $8.00 and much more, and over the course of 12 months will invariably add up to much more than that. 483
Adobe Stock / Re: Adobe Stock Free Collection: Video Nominations« on: October 12, 2022, 17:23 »
For the most recent free collection exercise which was for illustrations if I recall, I went through all the nominated files and selected / deselected files according to their sales and sales potential. In the final stage selection, not one file was selected. So seems pretty pointless to run through this again and given $8 a video compared to $5 an image, I too will opt out of this one.

General Stock Discussion / Re: PayPal will Take $2500 for Misinformation« on: October 09, 2022, 19:59 »Haven't been aware about that particular ToS change but nothing surprises me anymore. We seem to be living in some weird mix of Brave New World and 1984. I can safely say we're outpacing Black Mirror at this point. Most people don't seem to notice which is another proof that the boiling frog syndrome is real I probably have one that is considered more laughable but will mention here anyway. Over 32 years ago I went from atheist to Christian almost overnight. One of the reasons for this was the following verse in the book of Revelation that outlines a number of events leading up to the second arrival of JC: "And he causes all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and bond, to receive a mark in their right hand, or in their foreheads: And that no man might BUY or SELL, save he that had the mark, or the name of the beast, or the number of his name" (Revelation 13:16-17). This is clearly coming into reality today, given rapidly developing and evolving digital currencies, electronic payments, microchip implants, QR Codes, social credit score systems and surveillance among other technologies enabling cashless, contactless and fully traceable transactions. 485

Can't access the article but title now saying PP have pulled back from that after backlash.
Problem with these kinds of policies is if the net is cast too wide they punish users who are not or never have been providing misinformation. 486

Despite my customers and buyers taking the entire last week of the month off from buying, still managed to reach my 2nd best month ever. Had my BME on:
* Adobe Stock * iStock * Pond5 Shutterstock was underwhelming for September. 488

General Stock Discussion / Re: Artificial Intelligence killing the whole industry« on: September 21, 2022, 12:46 »
Getty sent an email announcing they won't be accepting these works and removing any from their image library due to concerns around copyright...
AI Generated Content Effective immediately, Getty Images will cease to accept all submissions created using AI generative models (e.g., Stable Diffusion, Dall‑E 2, MidJourney, etc.) and prior submissions utilizing such models will be removed. There are open questions with respect to the copyright of outputs from these models and there are unaddressed rights issues with respect to the underlying imagery and metadata used to train these models. These changes do not prevent the submission of 3D renders and do not impact the use of digital editing tools (e.g., Photoshop, Illustrator, etc.) with respect to modifying and creating imagery 490

It looks like this agency is in its death throes.
Anyway I went and checked my 40+ images I deleted and they have indeed gone. My tiny port wasn't a concern to 123rf. Maybe since then the agency has put blocks to stop contributors from deleting their works. This is an interesting watch on how this plays out. Anyone like some 🍿 ? Plenty to go round. 🍿 🍿 🍿 495
123RF / Re: If you have work on 123RF PLEASE READ« on: September 18, 2022, 19:20 »
I only had 40 or so images to delete so was quick and easy.
But for those of you with big portfolios doing this or closing accounts, a big commendation to you for your efforts. This is the type of contributor backlash that will greatly undermine or sink such agencies treating their suppliers in this hideous manner and serve as an example to other agencies. 496
Shutterstock.com / Re: SS continues to deteriorate« on: September 16, 2022, 18:04 »depressing...glad I've got off that sinking ship (or at least devoting much less time there). That's a dramatic difference. My September 2022 has been poor so far - compared to the last two months at least anyway. Funny was gonna come on and jest that after three years and more than 2470 images downloaded, I have not ever had an EL download... until Thursday two days ago. Had an image sold for $20.05 and though eh not bad for a photo sale, thought it was an SO but turned out to be my first EL sale. I don't focus on uploading images / photos anymore (with only 39 uploads on Shutterstock since before November 2021) instead focusing on video which in my experience generally pays better commissions. I would never be able to do catch up with photos to make this anything worthwhile. 497
Shutterstock.com / Re: SS continues to deteriorate« on: September 16, 2022, 17:55 »What makes SS very scary is the huge range of "commissions" for an individual sale. For example, could be 10 cents or $200...that is a factor of 2000:1! My question is "when it is all said and done" does SS also see that huge variability to their bottom line? How would SS be doing if what the contributor sees as "big sales" slacked off quite a bit? Could be like the concept... where there are small fish there are big fish too. I suppose if we don't attract either then we miss out on all. 498
