Unlike Skrill, Paypal doesn't allow me to receive the money in a bank account I have in UK because I am not a UK resident - even if this is not a requirement to have a bank account there to begin with. Unless something has changed - I will check that wth a friend who uses PP - there are some high fees to transfer from PP to a credit card. Brazilian taxes and fees, not PP's, buy anyway it used to mean a good bite in the withdrawal.
So... my preference is Skrill. If I can not have the regular account, I will have to keep the activity not to pay those roughly US$25 monthly, and will have to check if there is some improvement in PP option to compensate the fees associated with Skrill.
They haven't yet replied me about my account having been changed to Merchant.

Yes, there are two types, and I am sure I would not ask for a Merchant one. The fees I paid were always the ones shown in the main Fees page (which has a link to the Merchant's Fee page). Now I notice that the payouts received in Oct/2012 from IS/DT/FT - last time I requested payouts from the sites - were charged, but from FP, not. Previous payouts were not charged. Money received in a regular account would not have been charged. Thus my account has been changed to Merchant in 2012. I wonder if they changed my account to Merchant because of the money received from the stock sites (only sites send me money there). From their TOS: You are using your Skrill (Moneybookers) Account for commercial purposes if you are receiving payments for or in connection with any business activity. We reserve the right to determine whether, in our reasonable opinion, you are using your Skrill (Moneybookers) Account for commercial purposes. But if you guys here, most moving a much larger sum, were not considered as commercial users, then I was very unlucky. I can get rid of the inactivity charge (19.95 EUR) if I make any transaction. I will then ask for a payout from one site to solve that issue. However, I hope they agree to change my account back to the regular, non-Merchant one. But given the TOS, they may not.

Their reply. I have then asked why my account is a Merchant Service. Could it be because I receive money only from the agencies? As per your inquiry, we would like to kindly advise you that the Merchant Service fee is the inactivity fee charged in accordance to section 9.2 of our Merchant Terms and Conditions: Quote 9.2 [] the Merchant will be charged a monthly inactivity fee of 19.95 EUR (or equivalent), if no funds have been uploaded, withdrawn, sent or received through the Merchant Account(s) within the last six (6) months. This shall however not apply to the extent that the Merchant is subject to the gateway usage fee as set-out on the merchant fees page. Unquote

It looks like if my account has been changed. I had it for years without such fees.
I haven't logged in for months, I believe, because I have not done any withdrawal since last year.

I have just sent them a message. In the online summary, the deducted values are shown as "Merchant Service Fee". I never knew I had a Merchant Service, is it automatic because I receive money from the agencies? My last transfer was from Fotolia last October, this fee was charged in April and May 2013. In the Merchant Service fee page I read "Gateway Usage 19.95 per month" and this may be the roughly US$25 deducted each month. https://www.moneybookers.com/ads/merchant-account/fees/I don't use them in my website, that is what I understand the gateway fee would be about. I don't have ANY payment system in my website. Such a high fee totally destroys Skrill usage to me. My microstock income these days is extremely low - I am not counting anymore, but possibly just around US$50. I would have to find a solution through Paypal, even though I know I would lose money. I'll keep you posted.

Hi all,
I don't bother cheacking my balance unless I am going to transfer money to my bank account, and I don't even bother reading the monthly statements they email me.
I was shocked however to see that I had U$92.70 on April 1st, 66.70 on May 1st, 40.98 on June 1st - without having done any transaction in these months!!
What are they charging me for? Is there some announcement I missed??

BTW, I am going to see Sebastio Salgado's "Genesis" tomorrow. He is amazing. I can not say he inspires me, because I don't have the slightest pretention to be a tenth of the photographer he is, but I love his work.
Robert Capa is also a photographer I love.

I have a Benro monopod, with a Benro ball head. Suits my eventual needs. I don't carry the "real" tripod in my trips because of size and weight. The monopod I may even carry in a trail.

I licensed two images due to Flickr. Anyway, I upgraded to the pro account last year because of the upload limits - 200 photos, I think. Is this limit gone with the new storage space? If so, I want my money back!

Removed the card... editor works! Put memroy card back... doesn't work... Now what? I asked a friedn to get my cable at work, but she took the wrong cable and I am travelling tonight. My I should try the option of deleting the folder as in that forum message. Yesterday I only renamed the file in it and it did not solve the problem. I can not reformat because of the cable. I should back up files with the Nokia Suite, but only when I return..

Thanks, cuppacoffee, I had actually read that, but I wonder how reformatting the memory card can solve this... it looks more like a software problem, isn't it? I would have t oback up my card first. Transfer cable is at work, however.

Hello,
I have posted thsi in Nokia's forum, but maybe someone here can help me.
Today I tried to edit a couple of photos shot in my Nokia E72, but the editor is no longer working properly.
As usual, I select the photo in the Image Gallery, then select Options > Edit. The editor opens, and I select Options > Apply Effect. The grid with the effect icons (brightness, contrast, crop, etc) appears just as an empty frame, no icons. I try to use the navigator to "move" blindly, as I know where the icons should be, but that doesn't work either.
One editor choice that I don't use - Show full screen - returns a blank screen.
I have already turned the phone off and on, removed the battery for a few minutes as well, nothing.
Any ideas?

There has been a lot of complaint about no response from site admins. People had been having problems logging in. I have just tried and AVG also found this infection.

I have sales on both, more in Zazzle. But then I don't have a huge collection of BCs in either one.
A positive side of BCs is that buyers come for more, if they like the first purchase.

I use IrfanView to put in my Iptc data and Alamy is the only site it doesn't work properly for. It only imports a few of my keywords so I have to go and copy them in one at a time.
I use Exifer and sometime edit order with Irfanview. My data is uploaded correctly in each image (caption and keywords, dropped into the comprehensive field), but even if I have two images with exactly the same data, when I try to edit both together, then the original data disappears.

Enable the site to read metadata for Title, Caption and drop all the keywords into Comprehensive, we can edit from there. People will send you vast praise and thanks.
I like the Essential Box limit which makes people think about what words really count and matter, instead of their favorite 500 words that are often distant or irrelevant. (spam) But making it easier to add keywords and some EXIF data, would be very kind of you.
I disagree. I would like the keywords dropped into Main Keywords and the Essential and Comprehensive keywords removed. That is what people really want, one set of keywords.
No, please keep that, I really like that system. At least in theory, it is much better for relevance.

Hmm, the only problem is that I don't have an account there. I was expecting to use of the main agencies because I have credits to use and then charge him in local currency.
Any other suggestion?

Maybe not in the keywords, but in the description?
I licensed two images directly with a publicher that found one of them through Flickr. (or through a web search tat led to Flickr).

I used this many times, for myself and to help friends choose a camera. I especially like to compare that chart with lines and circles that help see CA and sharpness.

Hi there,
I am building a small webste for a friend who is a consultant. He wants some images, basically they will be all XS.
I was wondering which site is the cheapest for a buyer yet giving the best commission for the photographer. Not IS, of course, and possibly not DT unless it's a level 0 image.
