here is my suggestions to SS  8)
1) create /run a report which extract problematic image IDs per customer, it can be a heavy process from performance stand point but contributors cant do it from their side at all unless SS is expecting us to go through thousands of pictures one by one
2) make sure you(SS) validate the title field during submission/update
3) have a postmortem analysis around this Repeated Words communication failure

the email looks fishy (I also got it), I don't feel comfortable to load my official ID to the (wufoo.com ?!) site . Can I at least blur out  the ID number to reduce a risk of fraud ?

They don't ask for your ID

so what

Please provide a government issued photo ID with a valid expiration date, e.g. passport, driver’s license, state ID, Country ID card, etc.

means?

Top 100 on shutter stock. Vast majority of vector and Illustrator Folks.

looks like those on top with hundreds thousands vectors are running some automated scripts on some limited subset of vectors creating different color/background duplicates

Alamy.com / Re: RF Editorial coming to Alamy!
« on: April 01, 2016, 09:38 »
it will likely be a few months from now.
could you please also consider to support ability to migrate some existing RM editorial  to RF editorial

General Stock Discussion / Re: once maybe we will die....

they will become public domain some day but agencies will continue sell them

How many pictures FAA have?
Now i think that to get 1 cent from every subscriber is practically impossible

60
assuming some customer will stream only 1000 pictures a month and you will get all his money for your only picture he downloaded you'll end up with 1 cent.
Is my calculation too pessimistic?

62
logically speaking because your RM on alamy dont have to be  exclusive (as per contract ), alamy suppose to contact you to verify if you've  licensed the picture somewhere else before selling your picture with some exclusive  rights

General Stock Discussion / Re: Pixels.com

yes "Pixels" sounds very digital (i would say last century digital), where "fine art" is analog (for most of the people)

I'm struggling to see what the downside could be
VCG is Visual China Group  and my experience with  copyright enforcement in china is negative. I am also not very optimistic regarding business transparency

65
I am sick of these lies and corporate BS
lets wait for numbers, who knows ;D

66
I don't see anything about it on the getty artists forum but I did notice that the forum is a ghost town.
their forum is "private" and heavily moderated/restricted
they learned a lesson during the Google drive unrest  :-X

Veer / Re: Veer is sold to VCG / Getty Images

It is in the FAQ (see a link in a first message)

What content will Getty Images represent after the transition?

GI will represent Corbis creative stills, Corbis Motion content, and Corbis archival and documentary content, inclusive of the prestigious Bettmann and Sygma archives, via the GettyImages.com website.

my advice is
answer honestly to yourself why you want to be in Stock Photography ?
and then think if Stock Photography is a right/effective/reliable way to achieve that

As I just posted in another thread - my last sale on Alamy netted me $3.50.
Getty sales bellow 1 dollar is not rare either

71
a bit more than 2000

72
I am calm, there's still time

iStockPhoto.com / Re: Getty's new $100m debt
« on: November 10, 2015, 20:47 »
I stayed exclusive and it payed off for me. Can't talk about anyone else except myself. I am very happy to hear what is going on behind the scenes at Istock by Getty. It is happening now, not in the future. So no one is fooling anyone.

googled your name  out of curiosity http://www.gettyimages.ca/search/photographer?family=creative&photographer=jodi%20jacobson&sort=best&excludenudity=true

the reviewer refused half of the files claiming that the image subject is too specific/niche oriented and that was not generic enough. The day after all I sold 5 timorese pictures. Don't really get the logic.
are those 5 sales justifying your and your reviewers effort financially?

How can you possibly answer that until the images have been on sale for a lot longer?
it is possible to answer my question  (care to read it again?) it was about 5 sales which already happened.
And my point is that those 5 sales are not a proof of guaranteed future sales.
