Is there somewhere to go to set all of your extended license prices in bulk?
You can send me an email and I will put in the request for you. I have experimented with EL pricing in my personal portfolio and found very few sales when maximizing the price at 100 credits. Customers are very price sensitive as many that buy extended licenses are buying multiple images. For me, I decided that 60 credits was the right price. I still don't see a large volume of EL sales but definitely more than I did when set to 100. If the price is lower you will probably find more sales. You'll need to decide for yourself of course if you think the volume will counter the lower price.
My email address is: [email protected]

I thought the 60 might be the optimal price point because most photos are at 30.

I hope they'll pay more for sensitive use like Shutterstock so that whatever the percentage you make from extended license isn't the maximum you can get at Fotolia.

I heard that you can just contact Fotolia and ask to to it.

I think it makes sense for all of us to change the extended license price from 30 credits to 100 credits. Fotolia will be happy too.

The royalty percentage for credits bases sales at Fotolia which includes extended licenses is based on your rank. If you have your extended license prices set to 100 credits you must be at minimum a Silver ranked contributor. Silver pays 25%. As soon as you jump to Gold rank your commission climbs to 31%, Emerald is 37% and it goes up from there. You can read more information about the rates and commission structure here: https://us.fotolia.com/Info/Contributors/Royalties

Does Fotolia pay much more for sensitive use sale like Shutterstock?

I haven't been able to move up in a year or two now. LOL.

I get nearly $100 for a single sale of photo on Shutterstock sometimes without being exclusive, but the most you can get on Fotolia is like 25% of 100 credit? That's only $25. Regular Enhanced sale at Shutterstock gives me $28 in commission.
Am I right?

I think fotolia's extended price of 30 credit is too cheap compare to Shutterstock. On Shutterstock, I sometimes get more than $60 for a sale of photo.

I've set all my images to 100 for EL. I didn't see any decline in average number of EL sales compared to when I had price set to 30.
That's great! Thank you for the info.

At Fotolia, default extended use price is 30 credit. Has anybody experimented with different (higher) price setting to see if you can get more profit?
I think the default setting price is too cheap and may not maximize our profit.
Anybody with any experience on that?
Also, is there any way to batch change the prices of already uploaded and published files?

It's my first month, but it looks promising. Earnings are comparable to about 3-4 days at Shutterstock so far (videos only).
VideoBlocks is a legit stock agency. So far, everybody likes them!

For the first time videoblocks has surpassed Shutterstock and P5 in september and the differences are huge. But maybe I had better luck, who knows !?
Wow! That's so fast!

How about yours?
It's in terms of the royalty income I get, not the number of sales.
It has been growing slowly for the last few months. I hope VB sales will grow to 1/2 the Shutterstock or Pond5 sales in a year or so. It already surpassed the best month of Dissolve sales.

You really never know what kind of a guy Craig or whoever is in charge of Revostock really is in person. He may be completely honest about everything, or just playing games keeping contributors' money. It's best to leave and forget about that website to avoid further headache.

[trollmode]Im just going to give a detailed report so that i can help more people join them (and -god forbid- blame me later on when/if they totally screw us up) plus i like it when my sales become diluted by other contributors,in fact i love it so much.[/trollmode]
Had 5 sales in August (starting from August 1st when my first clips were approved) with about 300-400 clips online at the time of the last sale during that period. With double the portfolio i had 15 sales this month alone. All hd and most of them propably bought from US ground so i got taxed.
Wow! You're on a roll. Congrats!

Is this "not paid" situation an exception or a common practice? I'm uploading footage there for some months now and I'm wondering if there is any point to continue if I'm probably not going to be paid and have to delete hundreds of files one by one...
It is not worth it when you do not get paid. Nobody is getting paid. They sell and keep the money. I gave them a fair chance, requested a payout, didn't get the payout and kindly requested they close my account. I never heard back from them so I manually deleted my content and left in one video just in case they get bought out or something and uploading again is worth the chance.
I got out a few months ago as well. Totally not worth my time and effort to upload and tag there. There are only 3 sites worth uploading stock video right now. Shutterstock, Pond5 and VideoBlocks. You'll make less than minimum wage for uploading and tagging at other websites now.

If if you look at the SS sales insights, most images have less than 10 keywords that people search for. In some rare cases, it goes from 15-20. They encourage more keywords because it increases the chance that someone will find your image.
If you have a picture of a flower. There is a chance that someone will find it by searching it's scientific name, as opposed to flower or spring. 10 relevant keywords is better than 50 non-relevant keywords. If you do your research and you get the keywords right, you don't need 50 of them.
I personally like to fill in at least 40 because in some cases, I don't know what keyword will work best.
Thanks for your insight.

I'm resisting looking for a DP1M! (Though if SS could get itself back into gear again.....who knows!)
For the wide angle shot, DP0 Quattro is more attractive for me. DP1 isn't wide enough for me.
Don't tempt me....don't tempt me!
Check this out. These are the real and dynamic wide angle shot from DP0 Quattro. https://www.flickr.com/search/?sort=relevance&advanced=1&text=sigma%20dp0

Keywording is still a bit of a mystery to me. What I have noticed is that you need sales to increase sales. I have made improved versions of my best selling clips but the old ones still sell better. I did add a few keywords for the new ones so that didn't help, probably the search engines rank sales (and views?) above keyword matching.
That's a good point. Some of my bestsellers on Pond5 have only like 10 keywords.

I'll be carrying both of my Canon 5DMKIII and Sigma DP2 Merrill or Quattro on my daylight stock photo shoot. I think at the same focal length situation, DP2 Merrill or Quattro will beat 5DMKIII's image quality. It's a totally different sensor from ordinary Bayer sensor. Also, it's a very handy camera to carry with all the time instead of big DSLR.
I don't know why there are so many angry photographers here. LOL.
Nobody is angry. Not sure where you got the "screaming like a crazy person" thing either.
We just aren't as "in love" as you seem to be.
It was meant for Yadayadayada ant Tickstock.

Question is if anybody's using them already. Did you read my original post?

It's an impressive camera and actually better than Canon 5D MKIII in low ISO situation.
Impressive camera but you never held one? Or impressive specs and marketing for a compact camera?
15mp fovian sensor makes 46mp. Small battery, slow, don't go over 400ISO. You can only use their camera software to process images. 4fps for 7 frames is not impressive. Good if you shoot outdoors, flowers with no wind or things that are standing still in the studio. VGA video.
Sigma 50mm f2.8 on the DP3 is a nice lens and so is the DP2 sporting a 41mm f2.8
This is hardly better then a Canon 5D MKIII in any way. You get what you pay for. Sigma DP is a toy camera with novel features.
Dude, do your research before you scream at somebody like a crazy person. http://www.fredmiranda.com/forum/topic/1206282/0
https://luminous-landscape.com/sigma-dp2m-review/
Why are you so angry for no reason? It's not good for you. Calm down.
From your link:
Whats Wrong
stumbling autofocus in low light
slow buffer writes, even with fast cards. No further image review till buffer is empty
only VGA quality video
slowish lens
very poor battery life (two batteries are provided)
high-res bright but laggy (wobbly) rear live view LCD
poor image quality above ISO 400
occasional banding when colour values are pushed hard in B&W rendition, such as blue skies
poorly designed raw software, with no superior alternatives currently available, or likely to come
occasional strange colour reproduction, colour transitions especially around reds, and blotchyness. Not sure if this is the sensor or the SPP software
manual focus only works as an adjunct to AF with a half shutter press. It is locked out when AF lock is activated
Auto-ISO wont use ISO 100, even in the brightest situations. Maybe this is to compensate for the camera not having stabilization
my camera has two dust spots on the sensor, unforgivable in an non-interchangable lens camera with a non-retracting lens
It's fine if the camera happens to be really good for what you happen to use it for. Doesn't make it better than a 5DIII though.
Ultimately, it is a bit of a "one trick pony" with alot of issues. Sure, it has a lens that is very well matched to the sensor so it produces very sharp images. Beyond that it certainly isn't on par with a FF DSLR.
To each their own though. Whatever floats your boat.
Sigma DP2 Merrill beats full Canon 5D MKIII in low ISO (200 and 100) daylight or on tripod situation. Yes, it's a limited use, but this small camera beats 5D MKIII in those frequently used situation.
