photodune please ask your colleague from...maybe the secretary or someone who is not a software developer and do a trial uploading in front of the interface designer, then you will realize what is wrong, i am sure he or she will ask then what is next, what should i do later..where it has gone..blah blah.. everything is there, but is not user friendly...
i like canstock, you don't need to click many pages and go around different pages... everything in one page..you see every keywords, title..and just one click u submit everything.

hi mr. stock, is flickr/getty images are licensed as 'RF'? I have 60 images on Getty, 35 are Flickr, and I make sales from Flickr every month. The monthly totals vary but anywhere from 10 bucks to a few hundred. The RPI is better than the micros but the caveat is it takes a long time to get a lot of images up on Getty Flickr. They only allow you to submit 25 per month and for me they accept usually just a couple per month. Many others complain of the low acceptance rate as well. I could submit as many as I want under the photographers choice collection but at $50 per image for the placement fee it isn't worth the cost for me. So all my images go through the selection process of Getty / Flickr first, and any that are not selected (which is most) go to the micros and Alamy.

I just think it is a good way to print travel images into a postcards for sale and advertising of my own site. However, I found the results of 4R photo prints doesn't have a feel of those postcard i saw on the rack. It seems paper based postcards or rack cards are more in color contrast.

i think you will get 1 free page and 1 free email address, it takes sometimes to figure out how to get the free email address.
as i had listed down the price, it is good that it is true one just need to pay that amount instead of more hidden cost to get a domain.
I just used my domain to forward to the site i am using..

it seems not much people talking about photodeck, www.photodeck.comit is similar to photoshelter in some ways, but there is no commission charge for sales and i like the clean and cool interface. here is a code, if you use it u got 50% discount. It got RM price algorithm and you can simply choose RF license template. YG@UNMKGW

there is no 1 other agency that provide no sales data. It seems not usual, are isignstock plan to implement it?

Hi all,
I take mostly travel photos, so i am thinking about getting some of it to make into a postcards.
I tried to make a postcard frame on the pictures and got it printed as 4R photo..however, i don't like how the photo looks like..
I notice most postcards are printed on paper alike materials, is this the reason it looks better in colour and contrast?
Do you guys have some experience of making your own postcards?

Hi sharpshot, care to share where are those sales from? 3rd party or directly from zoonar? I sell a few there and individual sales are often for much higher prices than the average micros. It can go a few months without sales but then I get a few and it makes up for it.

actually there is no point to interpret how I feel, unless it is your interest to roam around internet forum.. i don't feel losing face and i don't feel i am too good to be rejected. I just know it is a business, that someone do it this way, someone do it that way. But i thought i will be able to re-apply after rejections, but i don't have the interface to re-apply. I don't think it's a question of losing face if he's talking publicly about how he's been rejected. It's more likely to be a question of I'm too good to be rejected, surely there must be some mistake. I'm sure u can correct me if u want mtkang. I think I got rejected by Veer 2 or 3 times, I never understood it, but whatever, my ports are small but for their size they do pretty well on ss, dt, 123rf and I'm not too concerned about being rejected by smaller sites, they're probably doing me a favour by saving my time. I was rejected by shutterstock 5 times too, I never wrote to them also but if I did I would understand if they didn't reply, they must get tons of mails from people asking them why they were rejected and they have a business to run, and enough mails to answer from active members.
Lots of Westerners do the lose face thing too by the way, they just react differently, for example being unable to concede an inch in an argument (especially forums), rather than just admitting the other person has a point. When you start seeing people go off the subject and correcting the other persons grammar for example, you just know that it's a case of being wounded and resorting to other methods to show that they're right. We all have egos and we can all feel embarrassed, hurt or feel that we have lost face, whether we are from the East or the West.

strange, do I say anything to insult someone? what i mean is in the faq said that you will be able to reapply as the contributors after a certain time (1 month sort of), but my status is always rejected instead of upload images to apply for contributors. isn't a business should do in a professional way? like what state in faq? but the status is always your application had been rejected. this is from alamy license agreement, i will assume it means the info in the files are not allowed to be removed..even with their watermark copy, the detailed info is there. Copyright issues No ownership or copyright in any Image shall pass to you by the issue of the Licence. Unless otherwise agreed in writing, if any Image is reproduced by you for editorial purposes (i.e., for any non-promotional purpose) you must include the credit line "(Photographers or Agencys name)/Alamy", or any other credit line specified by Alamy. If a credit line is omitted then an additional fee equal to thirty percent (30%) of the original amount invoiced attributable to the Image in question shall be payable by you. Alamy�s copyright notice and image identification reference which appear in the Image file must remain with your digital copy of the Image at all times. You will retain the copyright notice, the name of Alamy and the respective artist, the respective RF Image reference and any other information or metadata that is embedded in the electronic file that comprises any Image which you have downloaded from the Website or otherwise received from Alamy. Failure to maintain the integrity of the copyright information will constitute a breach of this Agreement. i think in alamy, the buyers should not alter the iptc data in the images, that includes file number..alamy info and copyrighted.
i found that images without any info..so it seems there is nothing i can do.

Is that just for altering or changing the data? For instance, they don't want you putting your name into the copyright line. I can't imagine them actually requiring you to keep the data. It just doesn't seem feasible. What if you make a collage with several artists? Whose data do you use?

so there is no way we can verify whether it is a file that had been purchased?
I think some images i download, the info is still there like the agency name and also the copyrights are my username with the agency.
if one purchase an image, will the agency give any receipt as proof? if i send an email to the blogger asking to show a proof, will the blogger able to prove it is a valid purchase?

Hi,
I found one of my images was used in a blog and also used as a images composite for the blog banner.
I tried to save the images and checked the iptc data, there is nothing there to indicate where it is downloaded.
Are buyers from stock agencies are allowed to strip off the info?
If buyers are supposed to keep the info in the file, i will send a mail to the blog owner.
I think using as a blog banner need an extended license right?

to me, only someone who is stealing other images to sell is serious enough to get banned. For most contributors, a suspension of few days in shutterstock is a loss enough to stop them. Most are there to earn a few bucks. Taking away all the remaining earnings isn't a good karma..
There are many ways to improve business but shutdown a contributor in this way just doesn't sound promising.

Hi all,
Too bad it happens to me that my shutterstock account is suspended, this is due to the reasons of i had resubmitted the rejected images, and had been receiving warnings (2 warnings last years).
the email was asking me to reply to explain the situations and my shutterstock and bigstock had been disabled after i received the email.
It is my fault but I had tried to email them for the explanations and hope my account will not be closed. However, i didn't able to get any response and my portfolio now is gone..
I wonder what i can do to get back my account? I hope it is only under suspend and will resume it at some time, but so far i failed to get any notice or reply from shutterstock.
anyone can help me?

I am thinking of creating a facebook account to keep a network for my own images library too.. I don't think we can create a usual account? i saw the 'create a page' feature for facebook, there are options like local business, company, brand and etc, total 6 options. Which is more appropriate to promote a stock images site?
