I just had a look at gfxtra dot com They have some of my art work that they are just giving away. I don't know what to do.
Fight for it. Send emails, make phone calls.

Holy crud! Not only are they giving your work away, it looks like this band of thieves is selling an entire Shutterstock and Fotolia collections? They have the NERVE to put their own watermarks on the thumbnails. I chose not to share the link. Too scandalous. Yes I do (vector illustrations only). My eps files are uploaded with a 480px wide JPG that I create for a zip archive that goes to Stockfuel. Since I already have the small JPG finished, I upload that to SS.

No I didn't think of that Click-Click. Not sure how to do it. But please do it. We all need to pitch in to help each other against theft. Did anyone inform Shutterstock about this?
Usually these portfolios are offline within hours...
I sent a message about them to support a few weeks ago.
Great, did you also inform the original copyright holder? Maybe it has more effect if the copyright holder is making a complaint.
Usually SS responds very hard on suspicious ports and puts them on hold.

Indeed, a dork. Looks like he removed the black outline for the illustrations in an attempt to make his work appear "original". SS needs to pay you some reward for all the free work you're doing finding this crap. Here's another one just in case you might be one of the people getting ripped off.

Copied portions: (lady and man are center top of the original) http://www.shutterstock.com/gallery-667015p1.html#id=84624715
Makes me wonder where he got the table from to complete the theft? Also has each individual character as a single stolen upload. What a dork!

How is it that you haven't been kicked out of the other micros, I thought most had a policy of closing the accounts of anyone who was involved with the running another stock site?
As far as the similarities to IS goes, it does look like a total clone, but then again DP also looks like a Frankenstein of components from all the other sites and they seem to be doing okay.
I wanted to praise iRockStock for emulating iStuckwhether it was intended or not. I am sick of iStuck and their tyranny. A big middle finger and a bowl of fresh horse manure is all I have to say about iStuck's great "power" to crush people. This is the time of the PEOPLE. Not the giants on Wall Street. I am so sick of their completely unpredictable rejection policies. Not to speak about how they've shafted everyone with pay. I just signed up for iRockStock and hope to upload my portfolio. Hopefullyspeaking as an illustratorthe process won't be like iStuck and alot more like GraphicLeftovers (if it is, I will probably lay back until it improves). Also, I hope they can appreciate unique styles of work that sell (unlike iStuck). Congrats iRockStock. May you and the other independents continue to nibble away at iStuck. We don't need one giant on the block. Everybody can make it if we don't get greedy.

Trying to compare with my iStock statswhich I find very difficult to interpretI only see "File Purchases." How do I determine if any of those are istock subscription sales? It appears that these are all normal sales.
On the sidebar in your stats page there is a line that says "subscriptions", click on that and it gives you a list of all the files that have sold as subs, how many times they have sold and what the total subs earnings are.
OK! Look at that. Zero subscription sales. So if we are comparing apples to apples, I won't lose the "big" money I get at Veer if I opt-in.

That's a good question, black rhino. There is always a risk that buyers will switch from credit over to subscription sales. That certainly seems to be the trend at Fotolia. However, if someone switches to subscriptions and your photos are not available you will still lose the sale - but you won't get a subscription "consolation prize".
Looking at iS subscriptions, which work in a similar way, the average value is well above the minimum, so this scheme should work well.
Interesting point. However, if I don't have subscription sales on iStockand Veer's program is similarthen it might not make a difference. The folks at Veer are wise to admit fault and atone. The arrogant leadership at some of those other places will burn and be big losers if they don't follow the example of Veer. Pardon the biblical language, but I'm really sick one particular big agency that presupposes they are the model for what's "suitable for stock." I know for a fact they are playing with fire and how they treat artistsand their customerswill come back to bite them. Anyway, I chose to opt-out thanks to the other artists' insight on microstockgroup. However, I wanted to seek some opinions out here on whether or not I should opt-in. First, I've been with Veer for a year. I've done pretty well with them considering I only have 270 images there. I tend to make $7 for my EPS (about a 1/3 of sales) and $2.10 for medium JPG and quite a few $0.35 small JPG. Because sales aren't fast and furious as they can be on Shutterstock and Photospin, I am not excited about opting in to the Veer subscription plan. I'm thinking that I'll lose those nice $7 sales for cheaper subscription sales. I like the "big" dollar sales. They bring balance to the small change I get elsewhere. So I'm thinking I'll will not opt-in. What is your opinion?
