Agree that going past %100 makes things more unreadable, not more legible.  This isn't CSI ;).

Maybe IS revievers use this kind of observations  ;D

Well, here's my related story :)

First, I had this image accepted with a release:

Then this image was rejected because it HAD a release: :)

When I told DT how the first image was accepted, and asked them to accept the second one, they wouldn't do it.

I had to resubmit the second image without the release. However, DT then DISABLED the first image without even telling me about it. I only noticed that the number of images decreased. :)

I resubmitted the second image, without the release, of course, and the image was pending for weeks. I was on vacation at the time. Only after I wrote to customer support again, they accepted the image.

I wish they were more consistent, both with their reviews and also when they are deciding whether to just reverse the rejection, like they do sometimes, or to make us resubmit.

Well as I can see most of us have two legs (haw haw)
Maybe on you second image under you right smallest finger is some kind of Marilyn Monroe birth mark so you must prove to them that is only yours  ;D
may bee they have similar photo of unshaved Marilyn Monroe without relise too??? Who knows?!?

Eh
Mostly every creature on this world have any kind of camera. From old people who digg it out from they old chest for shooting only family events, and 99,99% of mobile phone owners.
I really dont understand this phenomena about that, soo if I shooting some in public and if somebody comes to me me and moan something without reason I tell him to fckout in long tripple jump (like in some athletic discipline). If it is some kind of police creature sometimes I give him my ID and continue shooting and thats it. Some times I tell him if I am suspicious to him why he dont track me (in that way he will unknowingly protect you from creatures from first case).
As you see some times you must bee rude to protect you basic rights.

Alamy.com / Re: What is the correct way to upsize for Alamy?
« on: September 12, 2009, 19:37 »
Hi all

I found what I believe to be the best uploading method (for me).

I have found a Java Script called "Resize To Pixel Count" at the Adobe site, here's a link:

http://www.adobe.com/cfusion/exchange/index.cfm?event=extensionDetail&loc=en_us&extid=1044643

I set up an action with this script put up to a value of 17000000 px.

Now it is fully automated, regardless of the image original size.

Hope I have helped.

This is too old script which dont convert to image 16bit, not making new 50%transparecy darken layer with despecle filter or even more actions.
Too simple to be useful for most images for reasampling.
Its better to make few actions...

In first 10 days projecton
Shutter is steady
but Dream and iStock seems to bee BME (but I think they always doing better in first days of the month and than slows down) so everything is as usual.
Xperts are doing well and I hope it will not be they last snatch.
Fotolia first week is very weak than last 3 days they are woke up (hope its only problem in lag server data)?!
All other I am looking and the end of the month.
Conclusion
It will bee few percent better than last month  :)

« on: September 07, 2009, 23:25 »
Its not my intention to burn out lamp from my scanner for that kind of cheap crap of catching "images" but from time to time when I visit iStock site and see something in Newest uploads now I am overreacting with this thread, and I find few dudes which are under IS exclusive protection and they dont have anything in they ports only Fcking scans of PostStamps???
Yes you can say this "kind of images" are not sell well but some stamps are sold more than 1000 times. This guys are from old days of IS (designers little secret) and no have more than 100 or 200 "images" in port but they are DIAMOND?!?
DIAMOND on IS with scanned other copyright work with faked watermark stamp???

iStockPhoto.com / Postage stamps??? FTF???
« on: September 07, 2009, 19:35 »
How it is possible to submit something like this on IS or on the other sites?
Are they says in agreement that "you must be author of youre own work???"
Is there in uploading process one of four check mark something about that if something comes in you frame shoot which you didn create eg. tatoo, logo, or pic on the car or other masterworks???
After few months I see something about that on they forum but I lost the thread of too many closed threads with no complete answer about that.
Last I was read about is that if Postage stamp has stamp or watermark on it it is OK???
Is this mean that I can get any picture of any celebrity (which I not shoot or create) and make fake Postage stamp and make fake stamp on it and that is OK for IS???
Next thing on IS forum about it is that postmarks must be older than 70 years (it maybe means that copyright is expired) but I find lots of postmarks younger than this?
Technicall issue???
Postage stamps are scanned at 400 or 600% even more percent and if they are printed in flat offset technique with raster dot matrix all they have Moire on self exclude stamps from deep relief cooper press???

 ??? ??? ??? ??? ??? ??? ??? ??? ??? ??? ??? ??? ??? ??? ??? ???

Is this mean that only you can need is clueless brain and while you doing you knotted lace or pullover while rocking in chair with cat on knees in deep winter times and my influenzas drop droping from time to time from you nose and from time to time press scan button on scanner and that is enough for satisfy IS "standards"?????
I think it is very sick and discousting (even if you have flue or IQ under 70)?????????

Check it out...even George is getting into the Irish spirit for St. Patrick's day. Come on down and join the fun at "enter business here". I am not trying to wind anyone up. I thought festive looks were a good selling point. Also my last two links where about ice and winter

Why you dont upsize image thru raw and upload it to Alamy and send that link to you customer it will spend time and effort in payment process between you and him?
Prices at Alamy will be more than fair enough for biggest resolution about 330$ - 360$ for RF image.

Yeah, I'm still not getting what your point is...

Never mind Sean, this guy has just gone to flicker and stealing others work and resell them like they are his own work.
Or maybe he is hidden guy from this post
Magazine wants some of my images for free???
We can ask Leaf to track IP of this two guys, maybe it is the same person...

Me too do not know. Maybe it would bee interesting like Old Hippies posts or some of his different personalities...
