Yeah I don't mind at all now that we sort of know whats going on and where it's from.  So Leaf pretty please move this to the appropriate forum.

Thought I'd post over here as there are a lot of photos and illustrations on this site and we can't seem to figure out who or what this site is and what place they got all these images from.  I recognize a lot of peoples works on there.

If anyone can shed a light it would help.  I tried to do some digging to find out who the site was actually owned by but came up with squat.

Okay I got confused earlier.  3 of my 13 downloads there this month were credit sales.  10 of them are subs.  Still kind of a drag there for me this month.  Hopefully August will start and upswing when people aren't on vacation and the kiddies are all back in school.

Adobe Stock / Re: How to cancel / delete account?
« on: July 18, 2011, 15:46 »
If you've got over 50 credits you need to request a payout for your amount before you cancel your account.

Go to My Credits
Then click on My Conversions
Then click on Convertible Credits

That's what I see on the US version of the site it may say something different on yours.

Get what's owed to you before you delete your account otherwise they keep it.

I don't do a ton of volume there but have noticed that all of my downloads for the month of July are all subs.  Not liking that one bit.

New Sites - General / Re: VectorStock Redesign
« on: July 10, 2011, 13:37 »
I have 3 at $3 and the rest are $1.

Looks like theres a glitch looking at my own portfolio.  Doubles like what SS gets sometimes.

I don't really like the redesign it's a pain for me to find things that I usually look at.  I haven't uploaded there since April.

Me I'm not seeing that.  June was nearly BME for FT which just missed by a few cents.  And if this month doesn't fall to pieces I should see about the same in June.  I only care about my revenue going up from previous months the rest of it doesn't really matter to me.

Yep see the same thing no images in my port and all that.  Probably a server issue.  I'd hate to think that the buyers can't get around either.

Illustration - General / Re: Best selling VECTOR sites?
« on: June 23, 2011, 00:11 »
Dave post in the Illustrators forum over there and let us know what they rejected them for.

For me Vector Stock has been a complete disapointment.  They rejected my top sellers across all my other sites and I can't even get to 100 in my port there so I quit uploading in April.  I get a sale here and there but nothing really to write home about.  This month has been really slow though across the board.

There is if you read the guidelines for submissions.  That would be cool to participate in but I'm not a portrait photographer and I can't animate worth a carp either.

What?  No Spec! means you don't do custom request work for free on the off chance you might win a contest.

Woops!  My bad.  I thought you meant spec like in specifications or guidelines.

I learned something new now I won't be so flipping ignorant  :P

General Stock Discussion / Re: Sprained Ankle Photo
« on: June 22, 2011, 16:08 »
louoates thats why yours is selling more than mine. You got dirt. I just have sand.

I will try some shots tonight of the ankle. All I got so far is this quick shot.
Oh, do I need to sign my own model release for this?

Ooooo purdy  ;D  You will have to sign your own model release as the model and photog and a witness but I'm sure you knew that.  I still have a hospital plastic and rubber ankle brace from when I sprained the crap outta my left ankle a few years ago...hmmm....

Hey on the subject of feet and toes ya think there's a market for ingrowns?  My boyfriend has them bad.

General Stock Discussion / Re: Google Images Drag and Drop
« on: June 15, 2011, 01:47 »
Just to be honest I don't have a clue what the drag and drop means. Drag and drop what and how? If I'm on one page, how do I drop something on the other page? Cut and paste the link? Nah, it just gives an error. Wait maybe I have to own a MAc to make it work?

I right click, with the plugin, and just get my own images on Shutterstock and IS, so no help there. I guess I need to try the plugin with Chrome and see how that works? Also not much better than TinEye or the others, where I'm great for finding my images, where they are for sale, and nearly nothing for finding them in use.

That was using my best selling Shutterstock image, right click and guess what comes up? My image on Shutterstock. Hmm, that's not very exciting.  :)

I suppose I should be happy that it doesn't come up on some free downloads site? LOL

I have a folder open on my computer where my images are and I clicked and dragged it with the mouse to the search box.  I think I've only found a few with tineye.

I also found a few of my images still with the SS watermark on them so that's not cool  :-\

OMG!  Thank you!  For me it doesn't work with IE9 so it appears but it worked in Firefox.

Well I know what I'm going to be busy with the rest of tonight ;)

StockFresh / Re: A year? Really?
« on: June 14, 2011, 15:59 »
I got my acceptance email today and am working on uploading the images I've made this year and then I'll go back to some files from 2009 and then 2010.  I'm hoping that all this work will pay off.  Just sucks no EPS 10 which inevitably will make my uploading easier.  I've only just started really using transparencies and whatnot this past week.

Is the email address [email protected] or is there another support email I need to use?

Thanks.

Yes - [email protected]. It took three days after I wrote to them.

Thanks I'll shoot them out an email.

Well I was never a member of StockXpert but I'm gonna give SF a try.  Working on uploading the initial 5 images for review (and why it's taking so long for my comp and isp to do that I don't know).

It's now June 9, 2011 and my application is still pending for over a year now while others get in after a week or so (or a month or so).

Anyone else experiencing the same for that length of time?  I just wanna know that I'm not totally alone in this world.

670
I keep mine at 15% commission not that it's done me any good ;)

Thank you Stacey.  I did a few things last night on there and probably won't get back to it for a few days as I'm buried under other stuff at the moment but I will get back to it.  Hopefully it'll start to take off that would be nice :)

I've got a Zazzle store and I'm on Threadless but haven't done any shirt designs yet.  I'd like to though and I don't think I could do to terribly bad with it regarding some of the simple designs I've seen there and stuff.  I might have to look into that next week when I get my stock stuff sorted out.

I've only ever sold one thing through Zazzle a coffee mug over a year ago.  Like most of us it's trying to find the time to make things and get them up on the store.

Shutterstock.com / Re: Image Gallery stats not working?
« on: June 06, 2011, 11:59 »
Yep it only shows the 18 photos I managed to get in my port and none of my vectors and rasters.  There is a thread over there in the General forum about it so you're not the only one having problems with it showing your entire portfolio.  I checked it also on Firefox again and it still shows the same.  Dunno what's going on but I hope they get that fixed too among the other glitches they've got going on over there.

Adobe Stock / Re: Unsold files
« on: June 04, 2011, 14:02 »
Yep Warren that's what I asked but I asked it before I realized that they were still available in my port.  I'll look them over again and see which ones are worth keeping there for a little bit longer and which I should just get rid of.

Adobe Stock / Re: Unsold files
« on: June 04, 2011, 00:57 »
Here in lies my confusion.  Why put them under the unsold files tab but yet still have them available for sale on the site?  Why would I delete them if they're still available for purchase?  Because my understanding of it was that the files would be moved there and unavailable for sale then I could choose what do to with them either donate to free or delete but this isn't the case as I see it.
