I got an email saying this is about to expire and that I need to resubmit (since the info hasn't changed).
Anybody see how to do this please - or must I just redo the whole thing? 734

Symbiostock - Suggestions / Make it easier for buyers« on: December 01, 2013, 08:59 »
Just gone to look for the site via Startpage search.
The first 5 results are all aimed at photographers. The 6th - which is what a buyer is really after - is called Symbiostock Global Network Search Is there any way that this order can be fixed (manipulated!)? Ideally, if the goal is to sell photos etc, it would come first. And I would suggest a clearer name: Symbiostock - search for that perfect photograph/illustration here. Which is then backed up by a nice, bright page featuring images (taken randomly?). It does all seem very complicated - even from buyer point of view. I'm sorry to say this but it really is true. KISS - keep it simple and all that! I also just went looking for the forum. I got there eventually (!) but the 'core' of the network does seem to need some simplification. Has the issue of Leo not having enough time to do everything been resolved? I'd love to see Symbiostock succeed. OK. Got my tin hat on - but intending to be helpful! 736

Seems it is official - there ARE problems.
When I start up Deepmeta I get a warning that istock iss working on resolving the problem, which is currently causing errors. Oh joy!!! 737
General Stock Discussion / Re: Veer sales - am I the only one?« on: November 26, 2013, 13:09 »
Truly feeble sales.
Incredibly long approval system and then - last time - they rejected 96% of submissions for not being good enough for them!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Reality check required I think (for them I mean - my photos do ok elsewhere!)! 738
Dreamstime.com / Re: Sneaky checkbox« on: November 24, 2013, 12:11 »
And it isn't VERY sneaky - they give you a warning if you press it accidentally and DON'T want your photos in the free section, which is nice.

Thanks for that. I delayed because at that stage they were saying they were looking into the item 'lost in the post'. Which could have been the case!
Anyway, hope a few people read it here and are warned!!! Thanks again. Judith 740

RATS!!!! 48 days!!!
Oh well - will bump this email from time to time to at least spread the word. Shame Italian Paypal didn't just tell me that! Thanks for help though! ![]() 741
Photography Equipment / Re: BE CAREFUL - Sale-point and I-store-online.com« on: November 18, 2013, 06:01 »
Sadly this isn't so. I filled in the form, I got the standard Italian letter saying to phone them and no case appears as recorded in my account.
I wrote again, asking to speak to somebody in English, and got that same Italian email back. I'm really not keen to phone in Italian but I guess if push comes to shove it may be worth a try.... ? 742
Photography Equipment / Re: BE CAREFUL - Sale-point and I-store-online.com« on: November 18, 2013, 05:30 »
Hi - I tried reporting it to Paypal via their system but just got a long standard email back (in Italian, because I'm currently in Italy and there is no way to get back onto Paypal UK) which basically seemed to say they could do nothing and to contact the vendor (who is ignoring emails now).
I wanted to contact a Paypal person in English but could find no way to do so. If you have a contact email who speaks my language, I' be very grateful! It was only a small sum of money, but I wouldn't mind getting it back! Plus, I'd like Paypal to know so that they can maybe stop other people having similar problems. Cheers! 743
Dreamstime.com / Re: dreamstime.com site - is it down ?« on: November 18, 2013, 04:09 »
Not down but not doing much anyway! I must be on the rotation that is puts me on page 1million on the search! Last month was good.
This month, downloads down by 50% and RPD also down 50%. I guess my turn will come round again....! In the meantime.....sigh..........! 744

See http://www.mu-43.com/showthread.php?t=27201.
Mine is the last comment, but basically I have heard nothing, they have my money and Paypal aren't interested and/or are unable to help! Fortunately, mine was only a small order and I knew I was taking a bit of a risk. But if you are looking to spend real money, best avoid in my opinion! (PS - hope this isn't against forum rule, but thought it useful to spread the word). 745

Yes - I left the screen up to do something else for a while - came back - and found that timed out message too! So I'm pleased you posted about it! I have no idea what to expect from sales - but compared to Zazzle (which I abandoned) it is, at least LARGELY straightforward!

Is it true that you can only send up one photo at a time? I can't find any ftp (and I saw in the forum here that this doesn't exist) but I can't find any bulk(ish) upload system either.
Surely not just one at a time....or is it? |
