Does anyone know where the opt-out checkbox on BigStock is now? I've looked around all my profile pages, etc. and I don't see it. I wanted to be sure I am opted out from partner programs with BigStock, since they are participating in this MediaBakery thing.
You can opt-out at BigStock. Go to Your Account, then Uploads. You should see this: Reseller Sales By default, we may license your images to other resellers who meet our strict criteria. The images are sold under the same Image Usage Agreement terms we enforce at Bigstock. You will get paid for every sale, and your commissions will be at least as high as they are at Bigstock, and often higher. You may choose to opt out of Reseller Sales by checking the box below.

A fix has been released (see announcement below from Prostockmaster Blog). I have not tried it yet.
version 1.7.3 released This release fixes Bigstockphoto and 123rf interaction, Dreamstime and Fotloia statistics. We also took off Stockxpert due to their merge with iStockphoto.

submission process on Fotolia with their branching out categories is pretty time-consuming.
You are not required to pick a category to submit to an image to Fotolia.

Has anyone else had problems with uploads to 123rf and BigStock lately using ProStockMaster? I uploaded 5 images on Sunday and 5 more on Monday but they never show up on the 123rf or BigStock, other sites work fine.

PD,
Wasn't the US east coast just hit by a big snow storm? Maybe people cannot get to work.

Nice analysis.
Another variable for some people is the increased upload limits that exclusives get.

I found this site when researching microstock, mostly likely with a google search.

FYI, You do not have to pick categories at Fotolia in order to submit images. I have been skipping catagories lately. It really speeds things up.

123RF allows free downloads of your images.

Right now it is easy for the buyers to determine the pricing with out clicking on the thumbnail (crown vs. no crown).
Also, from a couple of sample searches I did, it does not appear the best match has changed. Not yet anyway.

I sometimes use Wikipedia to find other names or related terms for items. For example an "adjustable wrench" is also called an adjustable spanner, shifting spanner, shifter, fit-all, crescent wrench or adjustable-angle head wrench. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Adjustable_spanner

I don't know if this clears things up, but here is an exchange between an contributer and an StockXpert admin (Sep) from the StockXpert forum.
Contributer: I'm a bit confused, as the message seems to suggest that if you're NOT a member of istock and are opted in correctly at StockXpert, your images will be transferred automatically, but if you ARE a member of iStock, you have to put them through the iStock approval process (which restricts you to 15 uploads a week) in order to get them back on JIU - which would seem to penalise those who joined iStock, as recommended, by slowing down the reinstatement of their subs portfolios. Is that correct?
Sep:Actually JIU is being replaced by a new product in early 2010. If you are opted-in for subscriptions on StockXpert, your images will be on the new site.
Basically this only has to do with StockXpert images. If you are opted-in on StockXpert for subcriptions sales, keep it this way. If you do not want to have your images on the replacement site, you must opt-out here on StockXpert.
This only involves images in your portfolio on StockXpert, not the ones on iStock.
Contributer:Thanks SEb. Sorry, I should'n't have referred to the new product as JIU. My mistake.
I'm still confused though, as I fall into group three where it says:
"If you had non-duplicated files opted into subscriptions on StockXpert, please feel free to upload them to your existing portfolio on iStockphoto to continue their subscription sales."
Doesn't that suggest that non-duplicated files have to be uploaded to iStock rather than being automatically transferred?
Very grateful for your help with this, as ever Seb.
Sep:There are a few reasons why they suggest that you upload to iStock non-duplicated images;
1- These images will benefit from Photos.com subscriptions sales. This is no longer the case with your StockXpert images.
2- I believe that all opted-in images on iStock will feed the new site. It is not the case with StockXpert images as iStock has (will) selected most but not all images to be transferred to the new site from StockXpert. There are chances that most but not all of your StockXpert images appear on the new site
