Looks like the stats from http://www.compete.com

2828 files so far  :)

Just keeps on going downhill :(

I have 1100 pics and HD video ready to pull anyone up for it, gathering a few/lot could be interesting to see the amount files we could end up with.

Nice and easy process uploading to Stockfresh, hope they get the success they deserve.

wondering when a whistle blower is gonna emerge from the inner circle of Istock/getty, * that would be some interesting reading

Same here ???

So trying to send a semi unified statement, by removing the traffic that we can control is a bad thing ? what if by some miracle enough unhappy contributer makes an effort, and it actually made an impact wouldn't that maybe make the other stock reconsider pulling the same lame greedy decisions?

Remove my work at Istock and redirect as much traffic as possible to other sites simple!

Did that a week a go  :)

Miz makes some excellent points.  But I disagree with the conclusion.

I would say if you are a pro and honestly don't feel you can compete with the wannabe hobbyists then you aren't much of a pro and should probably think about getting out yourself ;)

Crazy 2000 and counting, sad and funny at the same time this must be a small glimpse into what a guy like Yuri must see every day, but come on fix it already!

General Stock Discussion / Ads

Hi

First of i really have no idea of the way google adds works, but seeing adds for SS, Dt etc. on some of the "pirate sites" that offer free downloads of stock material seems .... well just plain wrong.

There are so many of these sites it´s sad, even if you get the isp to shut down the hosting of a site they are back on line within a day or two with some other host, but what tickles my balls even more is to see ads from shutter stock and dreamstime etc. on these sites

Most already have done something similar to what Istock just pulled off at a smaller scale perhaps, but it´s the future i guess if Istock can get away with it every agency can.

Veer because it's Corbis  would really be a slap in the face for Getty

It's all about the designers, and if you guys really want to make a statement, it's going to have to be with buyers. Frankly, istock probably doesn't care if a few people delete their portfolios or stop uploading. If they are going to feel any impact from this, it'll have to come from buyers. If you're a designer and purchase stock images, look elsewhere from now on. If you know people who buy from istock, let them know what's going on and that they could actually save money AND support artists by taking their business elsewhere.

Hope more buyers will read and agree on this, there has got to be a limit to how greedy you can get without consequences.
