Oh I think talks are going on but it's not about what we think! They are taling on ways to make more money for themselves with OUR content. Don't forget Getty knows how to bleed people dry and then tell them they are working for the artist. Keep in mind who you are dealing with. Track record anyone? This is just the facts from what we know of from the past. It's time we learn from the past before we repeat it!

This is just crazy, she posted and ran. So the last batch had no iStock content.... the next batch has it all?? How many photos are going to be given away? Nothing. Are they really in talks with Google?? Who can trust a company like this!

The delay on this is troubling. I can't see a whole lot of good coming out of this for us.

I do this full-time and track a lot of data on the video side so I hope it picks up soon!

No suggestions except he said the economy is not great at the moment. Again some people may have some up sales on the photo side but overall it is down everywhere, I feel pretty positive I can make that statement.

I was wondering if the drop in IS was just best match related and it is NOT. I was speaking to someone at Pond5 and he stated they are getting e-mails as to why they are only making $80.00 when they usually make a $1000.00. Same goes for some other agencies being down. Now this is all on the video side so I can guess photo is down as well. There are several reasons for all of this and I knew this point in time would come. So its not just iStock giving away pictures as they have not given any of my videos away at this point!

We can launch "Google stole ios and now they are stealing artist images" "Do evil just don't get caught" "Dominate by plundering" "We are to big to care" "Google owns all IP so starve"

So lets put images up for free, dare you to use them outside of Google Docs. and then ask you for money? Talk about being black listed in a few short months. That is not a business model that is entrapment. What business in their right mind would even want to deal with that mess. SS stands to gain a ton if they play their cards right! How about sell the image and use it under the terms you bought it :-) works for me. Not to mention everyone and their brother will use the images for print use and who traces that? We have already lost thousands just because of that!

This business dose not work for me so its easy for me to say bye, bye Getty! So you think it should be a free world? Getty is USING us go make MONEY its our choice if we choose to let them use OUR content to make $$$. I just say NO. Make your own content and give it away Getty! I will help agencies who care about their artist! trust me there is a huge market for good content. We have to pull our content from Getty to survive people. They are trying to kill us by scale so lets fight fight fight!!!

Will you offer video in the future? Might be a good time to reach out to all exclusives at iStock Kelly. Great site and I will be submitting there in the future.

I will do my own thing, it would still be better to rally around something new then to not. To bad we can't all agree to at least try

O.K. I am a lone business like all of you, when my files are pulled from iStock I am looking for a place with a higher price point then SS. It makes no business sense for me to just deactivate files with no place to put them just because I am pissed. I am looking at GL and thinking lets start this New Site with one that is already up and running. I think Kelly will work with us and this will add a one two punch to iStock at the same time. We can launch a massive campaign for GL and feel great about where our images are. I think its a win win for us

Lets pick GL and run with it, they will add video if the demand and collection is there!

Why Don't we get behind a site like GL, our images need a good home after D-Day, we could use D-Day to hit iStock and at the same time help build up another site for our work! D-Day at iStock means V-Day at GL a dual message would be better as it is also a positive one for buyers. Picking a small site like GL and boosting its business is good for all of us. We could then take all our negative energy and focus on driving buyers to a new place for our content. I would love to sing the praise of another just to get my mind off if iStock.

Why don't we all get behind an existing site like GL and make a new day there? They may be willing to work with us

OK we need to make a lot of noise for D-Day, bomb blogs,FB, you name it. Use your artist skill to come up with something nice I can post on my FB page, Twitter and GPlus. Run a press release and the likes. Just screaming here will do us no good. If you are going to give like this for the cause then by all means go with a fight!

"iStockphoto wants to be your exclusive online, royalty-free, stock media agent. We don't want you to eat and we will beat you daily. Every day more iStockers take the plunge into the Getty sewer never to return"
Posted this below the real statement but figured it would have a very short life on the iStock forum.

If you read my post late Friday then you must know Getty is steering towards a pay per click for your images. I said it then that it is garbage and I will say it again. You won't make a living off of Ad Sense! Now we must not let this die because they have numbers to play with and little risk unless we act fast and furious. They could care less about the artist, they are only focused on how to earn money for themselves with the content! I will be pulling my crown by the end of the month and most likely my images as well! People say asking Google to take down images won't work. Just Dot It! People say raising a stink on social media won't work. Just Do It! People said I would never make it as a stock video producer. I Did It! This affects all content not just photos. Do something and stop being a VICTUM. I am truly DISGUSTED!

Sorry but rush to the my last post and you will see they are trying a pay per click option on your images. This is pure trash for the artist!! I mean real trash.

Fact: Google did not steal images. Fact: Getty made a deal with Google for these images. Fact: you were paid $12.00 for their free use. Fact: the artist got shafted. Fact: unless stopped they will do it again and again.

If the pressure stops these kind of deals in the future then I don't think people will mind. This is a risk so if we do this it has to be done right! I won't jump the gun here as I am still waiting for a response from iStock. I would prefer to remain Exclusive but I am not sure at this point in time. For video at this point I have to. I am really hoping they choose a high road but my gut says they probably won't. I can promise you that if this blows over they will make a lot more deals in the future for good $$$ of which we will never see.

Let's start with Social media and get that organized now!!! If Sean considers legal action then we can open a website for paypal donations and why he needs our support. I have already offered $$ for legal action and I don't have any images there. People this is a business practice that has to stop, they can do with with all of my video as well!! Now Lets get rolling on Social pressure first!

Anyone here considering legal action? I am willing to give $$ towards it even though I don't have any images there. This is not a joke so lets stop winning and start doing something about it!
