Help Mat, what do I do now. Uploaded a raster in 2014 (for example), it got some downloads, and now I've decided it was good enough to make a vector. So I want to upload that version. Do I delete the raster, lose the views and sales, possibly search rank, or what?

Yes, if you intend to upload a duplicate copy in a different format you need to first delete the existing file. If as others have suggested, you make some changes to the file you should be OK. It can be a fine line though...just be careful not to spam. At the end of the day, our moderation team is very reasonable.

I saw that there are 3d models in Adobe Stock but in upload page I dont see options to upload in .c4d .max .blend
It is possible to upload 3d models in Adobe Stock?

For now, our collection of 3D images is by invitation-only and represent a relatively small group of artists and agencies. Over time, we may be expanding this to include a broader group of contributors.

Hi.
I am sharing my experience for others to be aware. I am almost 5 years doing stock full time, with a portfolio of 15k videos and 5k photos.
3 days ago I found out my Adobe stock account is blocked. No further notice, nothing, just a message says it was blocked and email to contact.
If you ask me, treating this way someone who is working with you, someone who trusted you his work, someone who you share your income with is... Well, you fill the gap.
In my 5 years experience with all the different stock websites, there have never been anything like this.
So after I contacted them they let me know, the reason for blocking is "spamming with duplicated files". Duplicated files by their understanding is when you have the same file with different color grading, for example (that is the exact explanation they sent me).
So, I don't sure, who was checking my portfolio and how qualified he is... But my portfolio consists from dlog raw files + color graded version. This is how I work for a long time already (because both the dlog and the color graded selling to different auditory, not pond5, not SS, not all the other stocks I am working with, never had any problem with me uploading this way...) So... OK, I wrote them a request for someone who is qualified to check this out on their side, and of course, if this is their policy, and this isn't some reviewers mistake who don't know the difference between spamming dupes and uploading source+graded version... Ok, no problem, I'll accept this... 3 days, no answers, account blocked, my income (nearly 800$) blocked. What should I think about those people, who treat their contributors, who invest tons of time, like dogs, or even worse? I hope you read this, Adobe stock people, and ask yourself the same question I am asking: "Are we ok? How can we do better next time?"
Because there is a place for improvement.

With you as an anonymous member of MSG I'm not able to find your account information or your submitted case. I'll be happy to take a look for you if you want to send me a PM with your Adobe ID. What you described does seem to be consistent with our general policy when it is discovered contributors are submitting multiple variations of identical files. The same would hold true if you are sending both vector and jpg versions of the same image. You need to pick a format you think is best and stick with that. In my experience you are better off submitting a color graded version of your clip vs log but that's entirely up to you. As noted, you cannot do both. When the moderation team sees a pattern of violations your account may be blocked and you are given a message to contact support to help get whatever the issue was sorted out. This is to keep the moderation system flowing consistently to keep review times as short as possible fo rall contributors.

This past week, Adobe in the US was closed for the Fourth of July holiday. We had team members working and answering contributor questions but there may have been some delays in response time. We strive for 2 hours max to get back to you when you write via the contact us page during regular business hours.

Hey Mat, I'm trying to publish a video collection from Adobe Stock to Adobe Portfolio and getting this error message:
"An error occured while trying to send your collection to Adobe Portfolio."

It's working fine for image collections. Can we not sync video collections? Thx

Video is not supported between Adobe Stock and Adobe Portfolio at this time.

@outdoorfreak: This wasn't a high budget production but I take your meaning. I promise that I am constantly pushing for new and better features in the contributor portal. I do know it needs work and it is important to me. We should have the best interface. Regarding "higher commissions, prevent mass uploads"...we did raise the minimum commission recently and I believe our rate in general is very competitive in the market but of course it would always be great to be paid more...the comment of yours that does have me scratching my head a bit is the "more fairness and better communication." When there is news that impacts contributors, my first stop is here in MSG. Communicating with the contributor community whether the news is great or not so great is my top priority so I welcome input and constructive criticism on how I can improve in that department.

@Sammy The Cat: Is producing a video going to improve things for you personally? No, I suppose not. That being said, as a contributor myself I do enjoy watching other photographers at work. You learn something from everyone you encounter. Either how to be, or how not to be. I leave it up to you to determine what you get out of watching me shoot. There are many aspiring contributors out there that don't have the experience you do that may need a little nudge to help figure out what or how to shoot. If I can reach some people and they get something out of it then I feel like it's worth the effort.

I do appreciate the feedback on the technical aspects of the video. As mentioned above, this was not a high budget production and you're right, the light in the office was at times brutal. We are in the process of a remodel in Seattle and I am really hoping for larger and more windows. We had two videographers whom I really enjoy working with working on this one day shoot with the intent of showing a wide range of content being captured. There was a lot of back and forth between stopping and slowing down for the video production and moving forward with the shoot itself. We could have stuck with one theme in one spot and really locked in the technical aspect of the video but my personal preference was to focus on the content being captured. Your points are fair and I take them seriously. Someone else mentioned the volume of the music, I'll have to revisit that as I didn't really notice before we posted it live. As for me speaking too fast, I've heard that critique before. I really need to work on it especially for those for whom English is not their first language. "I was just about to comment the same: You fail to focus on the video content when you hear such volume fluctuations.
One one hand we use Adobe products, with latest Premiere advertising the ease of audio match levels in vocals for example and on the other hand someone exposes Mat, diminishing his effort. I mean, I work as a video editor in broadcast TV and no matter the rush, I always look down right in Premiere to check sound volume when I mix (usually 4) differerent tracks.
Here someone leaves us with the feeling that never bothered to look, or listen, to the final video prior to export. These are the kind of mistakes that give room to negative comments."

@Not Today: Well sure, if you are a veteran stock contributor with a long history and a deep portfolio then you know as much as I do about shooting stock. What I have learned over the years is that Microstock Group forum is not just the regular posters that have been doing this for a long time. There are many photographers reading this forum but not posting. It takes a bit of courage to jump into the lions den here sometimes. Hopefully the link reached some of them.

In addition...I'm an old dog learning new tricks and I know there are some of you out there reading this in the same boat. What worked well in the beginning of microstock stylistically is not necessarily what the trends are today. Authenticity and diversity are what customers are looking for so I would encourage you to never stop learning and evolving your style. Continue to shoot and create. I make no claims to be the catch-all expert on all things photography but for what I do know, I am an open book and am more than willing to share what I have learned with those that want to listen.

I just watched the replay and got some great tips! Is there someplace where we can sign up to be notified of in advance of webinars? I can't find a place to subscribe to such notification on the contributor site.

Also I was wondering how we might lobby for a change to the witness signature requirement on releases. Getty/iStock & Pond5 don't have this requirement and Fotolia didn't. I recently left Getty and have thousands of images I want to submit to AS, but b/c many of the releases don't have witness signature I can't upload them to AS. Seems like a competitive disadvantage for AS to have this requirement. Really can't imagine that a release dispute will result in dragging in a witness to testify.
