I'm not sure if this is the website you're talking about but I made a quick search on gfxttra and found 12 of my photos along with others I remember seeing on ss in different free packs and they appear to have been posted by different users. The whole "stock images" section of this website seems really fishy. I advise everyone to look for their photos there.
I wonder if ss would do something about this if we send them emails about our photos being shared free there. Do you think it's worth trying?
What could you lose by trying?
Its not just about loosing/ It cannot be just one plea... there are thousands of contributors who's works are being stolen and they are aware of it. There should be one voice. You complain to shutterstock and they will say "we take such issues very seriously and we will investigate" and after 1-2 week they will bann the buyer. And again a new user will get registered and do the same. Remember that these people are not limited to shutterstock only.

So, I have this animation I want to submit, using materials that are free to use commercially (which is explicitly stated on the website I got it from). However, the submitted animation was rejected because it potentially infringes intellectual property rights.
How can I resubmit it with proof that it's not infringement? I can only see a releases menu but that's for models/buildings.
Are you new to the industry. I mean how can you use free for commercial material in your stuffs and sell as your own? You kidding me?

Did you report it to SS?
I am planning to report, I think shutterstock will bann the user and cancel his subscription. But, to me the question comes, is this the solution? I am sure that there might be many buyers who do it, coz you will find 100s of illegal stock on daily basis. Shutterstock banns one and three more emerges. Its a total loss of my time, earning, motivation and these stupid people do not understand this. Still figuring about the right solution.

I just noticed something fishy with one of the downloader at shutterstock.
Day 1- I uploaded 10 design at shutterstock which got approved next day.
Day 2- I instantly got 10 downloads (at same time) of those 10 designs in 1:1 ratio. I was very happy that my designs are popular among buyers. Waited and expected more downloads, but didn't got any of them.
Day 3- No downloads again for those 10 designs
Day 4- Still no download, something felt suspicious. I started searching over the internet and found that all those 10 designs were present on the GFX website with free download.
Now the thing suspicious here is that I uploaded these designs only at shutterstock and nowhere else. So this buyer downloaded my stock and immediately uploaded to gfx website. I am sure he might be doing it for other too, so beware, if you get any instant downloads of all and then nothing. Better tell shutterstock team regarding it.

Today I have seen that I have had a sale on Zoonar, the first for me on this site where I have begun to upload few months ago.

But I dont understand the date: 1-08-2016
If it is the german format (dd-mm-yyyy) it should be 1 august 2016 but we are in July.
If they used the american format (mm-dd-yyyy) it is January the 8th but why a sale from January is reported only today?
And why all these sites with international customers and international contributors dont use the international date format yyyy-mm-dd?
this happens most of the time with me too confusing

btw, its too strange that out of 10 design they accepted 3 and rejected 7.. when all 10 contained same information.

Few of my designs were rejected with Sensitive Information reason.
It says "Sensitive Information -- Image contains sensitive information (credit card info, bank account info, license plate numbers, etc.)"
I have created a biz card which contained random address and phone numbers which do not exists anywhere and its clearly visible in the design that it is some sample text. I don't how how reviewers reject.
I doubt whether they see the image before rejecting.

OK i need to defend my self now
I'm against piracy, but they can't beat it like that. Since I really enjoy good movies and I don't have enough money for tickets I'll watch piracy films. Is it OK? No! But who of us didn't watched pirated movies or TV series?
If they want to kill Kick ass and Pirate bay they movie theaters need to lover down ticket prices. In worst case scenario for them they will earn same amount of money but all views will be legal. And they will probably earn more than they earn now.
Taking down a site or two wont change anything. Same is with music and photography.
Why watch in pirated? If you don't have money, do more hard work and earn.. else don't watch There is billions of $$ loss when it comes for movies, music, softwares, ebooks, training videos, graphic etc... I have also read in few countries movie is illegally published before the release date.. Isn't it a serious matter? If maximum people will go for such illegal stuff, then my dear jobless people will count more resulting them to be homeless in few time and then they will rise as thieves, terrorists etc. Think it to be a big scene.
