Aaron Is the information below correct? Is this for current contributors only or does it also include new contributors that registered after the Dash for Cash start date? Just want to clarify this. Got another question...is this only for current contributors? And the way I'm reading it you're getting .35 for the first 99 .70 for the next 100 to 399, then after that you get paid the 1.40. It doesn't sound like just because you have 400 images on there already, that you will automatically be getting 1.40. You'll still be only getting the .35 for the first 99, then .70 for the NEXT 100 to 399. In other words you have to get 400 accepted to even get the 1.40 and that would only be on the accepted ones from 400 and up. If I'm wrong please correct me.

Question....what is their payout limit??? I tried looking on their site and couldn't find it. As for the payout, someone on here said something about the small print saying payouts wouldn't be made until Sept. Does that mean you will get the upload money at that time rather you reached payout or not???
I for one don't want to upload a ton of photos and have half of them rejected (because I'm sure they will be going over them with a fine tooth comb) and then have no sales and then not get paid because I couldn't reach payout.
Do I make any sense?

Kinda depressing....I think it needs a new designer....I like the green much better than that ugly red color!!!

It would sure make things easier if they just removed the keywords. I've had a couple like that where they just removed the keywords and I've had them rejected for keywords. It probably depends on the reviewer.

I've got 6 sales on there with a port of 392. All have been subs. Just waiting to see what happens like everyone else.

Agree with what Sharpshot said. After they have set on there awhile with no sales it's a waste of your time to even check the site. You might reach payout in the year 2020. In the mean time your sales just go into the pocket of the site because unless you reach payout you get nadda. And then there is the chance that you'll never get your money because the site dehydrates and dies.

I loved it. I've never done it but I would think the feeling would be of freedom. Happy B-Day

It's good to hear it from a buyers perspective. I personally don't shot models...just family and friends in candid shots. I could never afford to pay models for what we get for these pictures. I can understand what you are saying even though I'm not a buyer. I get tired of looking at the same ol same ol picture when I log on to my accounts...outside of iStock, which does change them...but most of the others don't.

Thank god I got out when I did!! It never was a big producer for me...only sold one pic on there before they made the change and that was with a port over 300.

It's almost been a month and not one. What is going on??
Perhaps someone tripped over the "turn images for sale off" switch
-Mark
I must be doing something wrong ...... 32 sales so far this month.
-Larry
Larry sounds like your doing something right... I just have never went for a whole month without a single sale there. The sales have always been steady. I'm thinking hard to remember rather I said something wrong to the wrong person so they hit the "turn off sales button"

I have not sold one photo since March 25th...it's like they suddenly died!! I always have made steady sales from Bigstock. Some months are slower than others but there are always sales. It's almost been a month and not one. What is going on??

Duncan...I just e-mailed you the zip file

I tried both...if I just upload the EPS file do I also need to upload a separate jpg file also. I'd rather do it that way rather than messing with the zip files

Has any one had problems uploading EPS.zip files to CanStock? I have tried over and over through filezilla as well as on site...they never show up. I've sent it as a zip file so that's not the problem. I tried doing it several days ago thinking it was just slow showing up, but still nothing then I did it again this morning...and still nothing.
Any one know what I'm doing wrong or have had the same experience? I'm getting very frustrated!!

I use to try to keep them separated, but then that gets a bit time consuming so now I have three folders, one is upload pending, meaning they haven't been uploaded yet, one for upload, meaning they haven't been uploaded yet, and one for accepted files. I upload to all the sites through filezilla and then go and edit them. Usually if only one of the files makes it on one site and not the rest...it still goes under accepted because I very rarely resubmit. I find that simple approach easier to do than trying to separate them all.

I would be surprised if three quarters of the buyers even read the contract. I'm guilty of that, not as a buyer for stock, but for software ect ect. I don't sit and read the terms and conditions...I just hit the agree button.....especially after purchasing the software. I would think it would be hard to get the money back if you disagree. I'm sure the same goes for the stock buyers. Only if they could track the usage of the image could they really be able to enforce it.

Why in the world would someone that is paying for a subscription not stockpile? You get X amount of downloads for X amount of dollars. Of course they are going to stockpile. That's obvious when you first upload pictures to SS and they immediately get a volume download, it's rather obvious what's going on. If they were to stop that my guess it would cost them business because buyers would quit buying subscription packages if they couldn't use all the promised downloads right away.

BigStock used to be #4 on my list. I always had steady sales there. Since they redesigned the site...my sales need life support!

As far as the OT goes. I find it is usually easier to upload rather than resubmit. I usually will correct the problem and then change the file name and upload again. It seems when I resubmit it sits there forever waiting to be approved or rejected again.

When I upload through DeepMeta I am very careful what keywords I keep. If I feel they are on the borderline I remove them. I keyword all my images before I upload to any of the sites, that's why I use DeepMeta so I don't have to go in and remove them after I have already uploaded them to the other sites. If I try to upload one with the borderline keyword...it usually gets rejected for it, so I don't bother even trying anymore. It's usually the concept keywords.

Thanks for clarifying. Our products get lots of views--in addition to customers they are viewed by other members checking out the new stuff, checking out the competition, etc. Since we only started with stock photos/images last summer we are still building the library but sales are increasing so we hope everyone sticks with us.

Stockastic was only quoting what I had posted. I am on the3dstudio and that was the view count on my portfolio with no sales. I wasn't referring to GraphicLeftovers, which was he thought. That was my mistake not his. I was under the wrong thread.

Haven't had one sale yet after 22,202 views.
Ok that got my attention. How could that possibly be true? Maybe the site's view counts are bogus, or the prices are too high.
Just edited that post..Wrong site. That is on the3dstudio. Make more sense now? Sorry
