Hi guys,

We're inviting you to participate in a conference call on Thursday 7/31 at 2pm Easter to discuss these changes further. We want to be as open as we can about this.

Please see details at http://www.stockxpert.com/forum.phtml?f=showtopic&n=15651.

Thanks!
-Steve

This is by far the best effort from a stock company showing their willingness to listen to its contributors and I hope it will not be listening without actions.

Rank (all times)  93
Rank (7 days)    153
Portfolio:  1765
photos sold: 3920

My aim is to be ranked 50 or lower by the end of the year!  ;D

Looking at the photo sold vs ranking ... fotolia's ranking is base on income and not by download

Oh CS does charge which is the reason why now i try to use my basic account for all payout

Quote from: dbvirago on May 10, 2007, 15:09
I have a premier account also. Most microstocks pay me and I don't get charged a fee. I just got my first payout from CS and there was a fee attached. I think it is a combination of the type account you have and how the agency submits payment.  If LO sticks with a $100 payout, I don't know when that will happen.

Bigstock.com / Re: Bigstock slow?

BS does bring in decent money for me .. :P
#17
CanStockPhoto does not charge any fee.. not that i know of.

the reason why i get to pay a fee on paypal is because i am using premier account. But it's possible to waive it if the stock site do something about it
#18
I suppose that's the main reason. Silly of me as well. Now I put my "basic" paypal account as the payout email to avoid the troubles.

Just to bring this point out in case others are not aware of it

Quote from: photoshow on May 10, 2007, 03:36
Well I doubt LO is sending out enough payouts just yet tpo qualify for mass payments which would remove the fees. In the meantime if the fees are to much for you I suppose you could always request a check but banks charging fees is nothing new.
#19
Finally manage my first payout from LO. The payout to my paypal account (premier account) resulted in me being charge a fee.

If some other stock site can payout to premier account on paypal without the need for me to pay a fee. I suppose LO can do something about it too.

I am very impress by CanStockPhoto auto keyword suggestion and automatic catergory insertion. All i need to do after FTP is to approve them

1 per 114.

CanStockPhoto is the lowest earner among all. about $15 a month .. hahah. that will work out to about $180 per year. Good enough for me to get candies for my girl

haha

I prefer to trust my own chart base on earnings .. LOL

no point having a great number of hits if my photo will not sell there.

Adobe Stock / Re: april sales?
April 24, 2007, 05:34
mine is about 80% of previous month.

From what I remember when i started stock about 2 years back. April has always been a lousy month.

At least I think the $500 goal is achievable in SS and definitely something to work towards for those who have yet to reach $500

I would defiantly pay a token for that if it meant being on the first page, however if there are 100, or 500 side show images for a certain keyword term (and there will be in the future if people place 50% of the portfolio in the sideshow), and only 8 are shown on the first page - it would almost be better to take your chances with the regular search.

or take this example.
in a few years a keyword term YYY has 500 search results.  People like the sideshow feature and many put 50% of their images in the sideshow - there is now 200 of the images in the YYY search in the sideshow.
-of the sideshow images only 8 are shown but they are apparently shown is random order and sorted every time, so any given image would be shown in 1 out of every 25 searches.  If you have an image in the main search that comes up in page 1 it is shown 25 out of 25 searches.... the side show would NOT be the best option.  Lucky oliver is down right now so i don't know how many images it shows on a page but maybe 50 - that means the image in our example has a 1/10 chance of getting on the first page with the regular search.

I think in the end, the sideshow would only be worth it for images that are stuck at the bottom of the search results and are neglected.

Agree with Leaf 100%.
