The main problem with putting filters on photos to make them look like paintings is artists do not paint exactly what they see. Judgement is made at every level for artistic reasons. Your pictures may have convincing looking brush strokes but they all still look like photos.

I have digital paintings on over 30 sites with no issues. It is just photography only sites that don't take them. I think if a photo is good putting a filter on it to make it look like a painting makes no sense. There is some stunning art photography posed to look like classic paintings  if they were filtered it would kill them. Digital is just another medium for art illustrators like myself to use for its flexibility, and  lots of undo s help. All the top artists in this field who make digital paintings that looks like traditional art use Coral Paint or Photoshop  and more often both.

You have some very good and well thought out images in your portfolio but these don't speak to me. I'm sorry but I agree with rejection they look a little bit thrown together.

I think most people plan to get afterthought captures when on a shoot!

Panthermedia.net / Re: What about Panthermedia?

I'm in the UK and was unhappy with the double tax but I only had to fill out a form with proof of residency and send to the German Tax office. panthermedia helped me with the form and now I get the full amount owed me with no tax taken off. I think this maybe the same for Netherlands. You have nothing to lose sending an email to support at PM asking for assistance with the tax. :)

Over Payment Total=$56.94   Its not a lot but I am very unhappy with the absence of a reasonable explanation. It isn't fair to take money back form some  people and not others based on how bad they screwed up individual accounts. At very least they should waver the first $10 for everyone. >:(

The upload process is bad. I am happy with my sales its only a handful each month with 900 files but it all adds up. I found panthermedia very helpful in sorting out the strange German tax thing. (That was very nearly a deal breaker.)

Dropped YAY this mouth after I got paid. I was not making enough  to justify keeping a very close eye on them and all the partner scams.

I love the fly. I think you should take more pictures to have a better choice. :)

Photography Equipment / Re: Advice on lenses

It depends on what you shoot. At the moment I love my "Sigma 105mm f2.8 Macro EX DG OS HSM - Nikon Fit"

First picture has harsh shadows blown high lights and I would suggest if you got a  lot lower the composition would have been much improved. The second picture doesn't ring true. Strong blue sky and grey water. Also would have been better without the structure on the left. The last one I don't understand why you took the picture so its hard to comment on. If I might suggest you read up on composition. Look at good art and photography to see how and why things are put together the way they are. A technically perfect photo can still be useless whereas good subject spacing and light
make all the difference.

I like your work. personally I find vector illustration much too restrictive, I like to experiment  in different mediums and any good illustration vector on not sells well. However I think a good understanding of Vector based illustration technique is essential  to computer based art work. Whatever lets your creativity flow ( I have sold on Istock  Vector, watercolour, oil painting, pen and ink, pencil sketches, 3d renders, bitmap paintings and even photos of fimo models). Have Fun and I am sure you will do well.

Sales are pretty random at Veer. Has not been moving in the right direction for a long time for me.

Well the twin arches are more than a little suggestive. I am surprised you had the front to show here.

When dragging an anchor point to make a bizarre curve I find it more fluid. Mouse also works fine. Sketching  out a design within illustrator is cumbersome with a mouse. It depends on how you work and what you want to achieve.  All the digital  artist that inspire me the most use graphics tabs.

I use a Intuos Medium.  The pro version will pay for itself in time saved. The more you use it the more fluid you will become, Very useful for illustrator you just can't not get organic sweeping curves with a mouse. In Photoshop it is a must I do a lot of art work just in protoshop  that would not be possible  without the graphics tab. the programmable buttons speed up thing no end so you can rotate canvas or change brush size or even undo on the fly.
