The time to opt out was in 2020 when SS went to the 0.10 per sale. Unfortunately very few people suspended or closed their accounts. The same will be true here.

In September I was riding down the highway and saw something I knew had microstock utility. I was a passenger and we were hauling a giant trailer, so I thought better of asking to pull over on the side of the interstate. I just rolled down the window and took as many photos as I could.
A few of the images had no motion blur, and to my delight, the one I uploaded sells weekly, which is strong for me. Special thanks to Adobe Photoshops Sky Replacement, which makes almost all outside photos look better and typically requires only minimal manual tweaking.

As I recall, I also received electronic and mailed copies from Adobe last year.

I got the email below from Alamy today. This only seems like a positive, but as a result Im not sure why theyre asking rather than just demanding. Am I missing something?
Would you like to increase your revenue from Collecting Society payments?
Alamy currently works with several Collecting Societies on your behalf to claim royalty payments on secondary uses of your images. We pay you 50% of commission of the funds awarded. You may have already received payments related to the work we do with ASCRL and other Collecting Societies.
We now have the opportunity to apply for a greater share of the royalty payments, which you can benefit from by sharing your date of birth with us. This is a new administrative requirement of some of the funders, including ASCRL, who want this additional information so they can identify copyright owners more easily.

you forgot the reviewers who know nothing about anything
As someone who also knows nothing about anything I am deeply offended that you are insulting our kind. It is not our fault were morons!

Roughly $45 has appeared in my Adobe Stock balance and I can figure out why. It happened yesterday, well after the Firefly revenue we received weeks ago, and it doesnt correlate to any sales.
I would reach out to Adobe, but after seeing other folks have their accounts blocked for weeks because Adobe wrongly decided they were fraudsters, Ive thought better of it.
Anyone else have extra cash appear recently / know where it might have come from?

The conclusion is obvious. Adobe sent all its employees to check the works created by artificial intelligence. Adobe is no longer interested in photos and videos created without artificial intelligence.
Whats more likely, the reviewers are focusing on AI, or AI has taken over the reviewers and is only reviewing AI images as they have an affinity for images of their computer generated world. Skynet is learning.

.
I mostly take landscape and travel photos and I'm seeing in the AI images places that don't exist, but in the description I read: Santorini, Tuscany, Paris, Dolomites, Normandy ...
Would you buy a travel guide with these photos of fake places?
As far as I'm concerned, I may have removed an electrical cable or a branch, I may have saturated the colors a bit, but the place is that.
Just as it can be dangerous to show perfect models that do not exist in reality.
I have also seen AI generated landscapes on AS. I dont get the allure unless the sellers are trying to fool people. Ive been to that place, I know it doesnt look like that, although its somewhat closeish.

Just had a couple non AI, non Illustrative Editorial files that have been in review for three weeks get approved, meanwhile, I have other files that have been in review for two months that are still waiting.

Another thief;

I guess selling public domain images from the Department of Defense as your own is alright at Shutterstock for the last 4 years..
*. 2000 of them. And 1 duck.
Further proof SS have no human review system any more. If they did, any basic reviewer would have realised these images were NOT shot by that person with appropriate rights and permissions.
Making bank on that duck photo, Im sure.

So anyway, talking about review times, in Adobe Stock VP Matt Smith's blog post today, apart from all the exciting news about the Firefly bonus, it is stated that Adobe Stock has tripled their review team.
The images in my review queue beg to disagree.

It took ten weeks, but I just had some images clear review, and to my pleasant surprise, one sold immediately.

They simply don't want non-AI, non-Editorial images. Most likely they configured AI to alert human reviewer only if it "thinks" image is exceptional. Otherwise it just sits in the queue; eventually someone, maybe even AI, goes around and clears the backlog by rejecting for "Quality Reasons"
The question is why do they want real illustrative editorial images but not real regular images. The whole thing makes no sense.

in my opinion, with all due respect to everyone, obviously, but in my opinion there could be reasons behind it and we simply don't have the general picture.
We dont have the full picture, but Adobe is reviewing AI images and illustrative editorial images very quickly, so theyre able to. Its only conventional photos that sit on the sidelines for weeks and weeks and weeks. The whole thing doesnt make sense.

If we soon discover cave paintings from the stone age as brand new images in the database, we know that the review is taking too long. I have uploaded a few new images when Ramses II was still going about his government business - they are still waiting for the review.
Ramses Is image review policies were much more efficient. But then he sacrificed my sister to Ra. Ive got mixed feelings since then.

They will close thief accounts, but dont they require it be reported by the copyright holder? They generally wont delete accounts if I notice a problem with someone elses images. Agencies will close thief accounts if they are reported, but otherwise do little to prevent fraud because there is nothing in it for them. They get 85% (or whatever) regardless if asset has been downloaded from original creator port or stolen port. As simple as that.

I have a photo showing a United States locale that is named using a non-standard English character. It has an in the formal name. When writing keywords/titles, should I use a standard n or keep the tilde?
Dreamstime made me change it to a regular n, but Im not sure how to best handle other sites to ensure its easily findable by buyers.

If AI photos are being approved faster, should I just fib and select the AI button? Or would hey know it was a lie since the people all have the right number of fingers?
