It looks interesting, but I am in agreement with you with regards to the password security.

I would say this one is is good. These city night are decent sellers and thay are rarely done as well as yours - nice color and composition

Clean images technically, The big killer there is noise. Slice of life images play well there especially if they are geared for contemporary - they seem to like rock band stuff a lot. No micro images policy.

I think on the first submission you need to submit 4 or 5. They don't play the Shutterstock game though. In one case that I know of, they bounced two and just told the submitter to send 2 more.

Again at PSC, there is no telling what they will accept or reject on any given day. A lot of the girlies there whine about flowers being rejected - yet all of mine are accepted and a lot were editor's choices. Just don;t send 4 on your first submission - show a variety of your best work.

If you visited the links I supplied, you will see that PhotoShelter has already defined their position - no micro. From PhotoShelter:

"Cross-listing live PhotoShelter Collection images with microstock sites is now prohibited.
We will no longer allow photographers to sell images via The PhotoShelter Collection if the same image is currently listed for sale at a microstock site. We consider 'microstock' to be any image provider offering licenses for less than $50."

Always know the restrictions and limitations of Terms where you submit, whether it be micro or macro.

There are two sides of PhotoSHelter. One is the Collection, which is where the stock sales happen. The other is the Archive, where they charge a fee for storage. You can sell photos out of the Archive via your own licensing. The Archive has been around for awhile. THe Collection for stock sales is fairly new.

For submitting stock to the Collection, there are no fees. Keep in mind that no micro licensed images can be submitted there.

It seems to me you spend more time whining here about rejected images than making positive efforts to create saleable pics. Why is this even important to you? Just don't submit there, or learn to create images that they want.

I woulld approach with some trepidation.

Question for you - Is there not an area on this site that has asked you to put in your PP info (email address) for payment? If you have already input the info on your profille on the site, I would tell whoever is writing you to get the info off the site.

BTW, just search Stockphotospot Scam on Goog and you will find tons of stuff.

The last time I uploaded vectors, the EPS files took 23 days to get approved. Vector vs Raster - about 3 to 1 sales ratio for me, vectors of course being more popular. When waiting for the EPS files to be approved I usually mark the Description as EPS File Pending, then when it is approved just delete that phrase in te description. Whether this helps or not, I don't really know, but I do it anyway in hopes someone will mark the image. Most of my vectors are credit sales not subs. In fact, I get very few subs overal at DT.

Well even though I said I wouldn't sign with another new stock, I registered with Snap Village last nite based on Dolgchov's request to test the registration process.

Really don't know too much about the workings there. Is it advisable to opt In or Out for subscriptions on this service?

Just joined successfully a few minutes ago. No errors. Even uploaded 2 images and sent them for review.

I registered using Pentium Dual Core Dell Laptop using IE Ver 6. This machine is not on a network of any kind, and I don't run any virus software on it (since it is really only used for file uploads,email, and travel).

If you keeop repeating Plum, Shutterstock will leave one appearance and strip the rest as repetitive. I would consier this case slight overuse.

Some people get stupid and add words like pit, because there is a pit inside, and tree because it came from a tree. That is spamming.

I once searched the word Party expecting balloons etc, and got a sofa. I guess the submitter figured people wpould sit on it during a party. That's the kind of stuff that alienates buyers.

I would drop a quick note. Mine took only 1 day at beginning of April. And even lately my images are usually reviewed overnite. Stockxpert is the one that took about 12 days I think. I know it took awhile.

Sorry but I just can't stop laughing at this  Dreamstime accepts some real crap, and I suspect the submitters with the trash are friends with some of the reviewers. The garbage is not prolific, but it's in there, and some of it very new. And a portfolio review of images slightly larger than thumbnails, at any of these sites, is no indicator of the technical quality of the work.
