General Stock Discussion / Re: Selling From A Personal Site
« on: January 21, 2015, 13:06 »
I am thinking to build-up a website too but I feel kinda lost in this chaos of offers.... I am actually trying Photodeck free trial but I don't feel it's "the one"...

Selling Stock Direct / Ktools rental? pros and cons?
« on: November 20, 2013, 01:47 »

Hi!

Anybody tried it already?

It sounds as a great idea but I wonder about the pros and cons...

From what I recently understood, symbiostock seems not to be the way. It looks like they change the rules in the middle of the game...

Any oppinions?  :-\

Thanks in advance.

Adobe Stock / Re: Is Fotolia dying? Or what happens?

Yes, it's a really strange and confusing situation... The earnings fell down since summer... and now it's October...  :o

Exactly!

For example, one needs 200 images keyworded fast. One needs someone to set for him his new symbiostock website. One might need someone to retouch fast some pictures. One might need a graphic designer. And why not, an agency might need someone for a remote collaboration.

Then even companies from different fields of activity could come here to post their available jobs. After all, contributors are quite hard working people. Why go on freelancing websites when we have microstockgroup?

An open place where we could publish our projects/tasks/part-time/full-time jobs... like a jobmarket with detail contacts and so on.

Why go to other websites where maybe only few people know about Microstock?  ;)

General Stock Discussion / Microstock Poll looks worse than ever
« on: October 01, 2013, 02:54 »
Hi, all!

Is it me or something happens to this industry? The sales are at half comparing to last year, the poll results look also negative...

I also wonder how are they calculated. ?  :-\

Adobe Stock / Is Fotolia dying? Or what happens?
« on: September 18, 2013, 12:58 »

Hi, all!

Something's missing but I can't figure it out. My sales are almost down to zero and it didn't use to be like that.

Is somebody else experiencing the same thing? Especially now in August, September...  :'(

I looked on BlueHost offers and I see the minimum per month is 29.99 $. Is it correct? I mean is VPS Web Hosting what I should choose as a minimum from Bluehost, right?

Thanks.

p.s.: if I sound dumb, it's because I really am when it's about websites!  ::)

Symbiostock - Hosting / How much does it cost?
« on: August 27, 2013, 15:07 »

Hi!

A short question, if you have time.

How much does it host to purchase a domain name and the hosting for let's say an year?

Thank you very much.  ;)

13
Thanks, Ed!

Any other oppinions/info?  :-\

Hi, everybody!

I am doing a research for my own interest. First of all, I would like to know about remote reviewers, if anyone has some info about it.

How much are they paid per hour?
What kind of contract do they generally have? Self-employment?
Which agencies use to hire remote reviewers?
What about actual vacancies?

Thank you in advance.

p.s.: As a suggestion to MicrostockGroup, I think it would be useful to have a special board dedicated to jobs in this field!

Symbiostock - General / Ktools or symbiostock?
« on: April 29, 2013, 07:09 »

What makes symbiostock a better option than ktools?  ::)

Thanks.

Symbiostock - General / How long does it take?
« on: April 29, 2013, 07:08 »

Hi, all!

I am wondering how actually long takes to set your own symbiostoc site, for let's say 500 images?

Thanks.

17
Thanks, everybody!

Or better said, thanks again! :)

Hi, everybody!

How did you do it? :) I mean how much does it cost to have such a website where people could buy directly from the website? Thanks

19
Thanks, Anita! I will take into consideration your message! Thanks!

What about microstock. Is it possible to create vectors in Blender or is there a way to export it in Illustrator and make it somehow a vector there?

Thanks, Microbius! I will look for Cinema 4d too!

20
thanks for info, pretty discouraging. :o
I might not live so long to learn it! Other opinions?

General Stock Discussion / best software for 3D illustrations?
« on: January 10, 2013, 17:31 »
Hi, everybody!

I've learned almost by myself Illustrator but I feel it's not enough, especially for 3D illustrations. When I use the 3D effects, it pixelates the design and then my illustrations are rejected for "rough edges".

I really wonder what software would be better for 3d illustrations... Please, help!  :'(

Thank you all!

I can understand your point of view somehow but it's still far away from reality. Now we discuss legal issues, not philosophy!

So, it doesn't make sense to think what is paid from taxes is 100% public and free for our own use. We have to make a difference between public access and public use, huh?  :o

23
Then what "restricted" means? :)
Public access doesn't involve free use of the pictures taken inside, right?

On the other hand, imagine this: one photographer visits you home and then upload pictures from your living-room as editorial... Would it be fair?

24
Hi, everybody!

I find myself in a big confusion regarding pictures from interiors of churches and not only.

What I know is that any interior needs a Property Release, no matter the building (church, museum, railway station, airport, private house).
Though I've heard voices saying it's ok to set as editorial an image without PR. Personally, I don't think so.

What's your experience about that? Which agencies accept interiors without PR?

Thanks.

Hi!

So, this is the question. I have already more than 1000 vectors. What if I want to sell them from my own site? How much such a website would cost?

What about selling on Fotolia/Shutterstock in the same time? Am I allowed to sell my work on whatever price I want, mentioning I am not exclusive on any agency?

Thanks.
