General - Top Sites / iStock Model Releases
« on: August 26, 2010, 00:13 »
Ok, NOW what?
I've been submitting to iStock for a while now, and have several model images up. But now, I'm getting this rejection for EVERY model image I am putting up:

++This image uses a non-standard form of model release. Although we accept valid model releases that are not in iStockphoto's standard form, the model release attached with this photograph does not comply with iStockphoto's legal standards. In the future we recommend that you use the standard iStockphoto release.,

These releases are ALREADY on the site with other photos. These are not new releases.  I have model name, address, phone number, e-mail address, birthdate, AND a copy of their driver's license attached to the release. I also have photographer's signature, our company name, contact information, AND witness signature, printed witness name and date.
So, what am I missing??  Should I submit to Scout? Or just stop uploading people? It's quite discouraging, and I worry that if I make too big a fuss, they will pull ALL of my model images from the site, as I have been using the same release since the beginning. Anyone have a clue for me?

I, Creator a personal journey is available through Blurb.com.  The bookstore is located at http://www.blurb.com/user/RGebbiePhoto
The book is available in paperback (ISBN 978-0-9824214-1-3) for $24.95 as well as hardcover with a dust jacket (ISBN 978-0-9824214-0-6) for $34.95.

Cameras / Lenses / Digital Back for Medium Format?
« on: November 20, 2008, 15:03 »
We own a Zenza Bronica SQ-A medium format camera, and was wondering if anyone had any information on a digital back for it.

We found Hasselblad lists one, but haven't found one for this camera.  Does anyone have any ideas? Know of an adapter?

Thanks for your help!

General Stock Discussion / Regarding "Editorial" images...
« on: August 06, 2008, 07:01 »
Anyone have some suggestions? We recently went to a Beach Boys concert, and got some really great shots of the band in action.  I figured out who all the band members are, from various websites and fan pages, and they are all ready for submission.
Question is... Which sites should we send them to?
Which sites seem to be good sellers for "celebrity" images?
Which sites just aren't interested in that kind of image?

Any suggestions or thoughts are appreciated :)  Thanks so much!
~~Gebbie

General Stock Discussion / What to do?? What to do??
« on: May 15, 2008, 17:15 »
We are both photographers and illustrators.  Currently our portfolio is mostly photographs, with a handful of fractals and illustrations tossed in.  After researching vector requirements, we feel we are ready to enter that phase of this business, and have a few test vectors up in submission queues to test our work.

The question is, at this point, with profit being our main goal, should we begin pushing our vector drawings?

What would be the best game plan, to rapidly increase profits?

What would you do?
