How successful are Alamy contributors with RF sales?
I know many did well with RM, but what has the experience been like for those who only have RF images to upload? I used to hate uploading to them, as the interface was so clunky, but the newer upload system is easier so I'm wondering if it's worth making the effort?

Is anyone seeing anything odd on Istock?
I have a portfolio of over 2000 images, which show on 'Best Match', but only some 200 show on 'Newest'.

I know Canva stopped uploads a while ago, then reinstated them I believe?
However, when I try to upload by FTP it fails an, when looking on the site, I can't even find an upload button.
My sales have tanked there - dropped by 80% in the last two month - so in amongst all the 'good news' that results in a massive earnings drop, did they also stop the uploading again?

Along time ago I downloaded and tried StockSubmitter, but gave up as I found it clunky and not particularly user friendly.
Everyone bangs on about how great it is, and I don't mind paying for a service to improve my workflow, so I thought I'd give it another go.
It won't keep me logged in to either Fotolia/Adobe or Shutterstock, and a box pops up every few minutes forcing me to log back in. I read in the instructions that I should log in first time through a private browsing window, and I've tried that but it hasn't helped.
I got a message telling me a title was too long, so I changed this and saved, then I get a message saying my files could not be 'renamed or uploaded from other PC' for Alamy and 123rf and I can't submit them. What does this even mean? (I'm using a Mac)
For Fotolia/Adobe I get a message saying 'unable to parse results during submissions for images'.
It's taken me about 2 hours to try and upload 2 images to 7 sites and I still have to go in and manually submit those that have failed and, unless someone can convince me it's worth persevering, I'm ready to give up as I did last time.
Has anyone any suggestion that can help me figure this out? Alternatively is there a more user friendly product out there that can do the job in a more streamlined fashion?

I recently updated my Mac to Mojave and I'm now having a problem seeing all my keywords for a file.
I used to be able to right click an image and 'Get Info', which meant I could easily copy and paste keywords if I wanted the same set for a new image. Now I find the window is only showing me the first 8-10 words then saying 'and 40 more'. I can see those words if I hover over, but I can't copy and paste the selection.
Does anyone have any suggestions as to how I can fix this?

Just want to check that it's just an expired certificate and not a problem at my end.
Thanks

I got an abnormally large sale and can't figure it out. On the earnings page it's shown only as a Credit sale, but I've never seen anything this big before.
I'm hoping it's correct but fear it may be an error, and it will suddenly lose a couple of 00s.
Anyone else seeing any anomalies?

I know everything has slowed down there a lot over the last 18 months, but I've gone from average 80 downloads per day to around 40. Today is 7? Also, my Stockperformer won't download any information for Shutterstock today, which makes me wonder if there are site problems?

I've recorded a few footage sequences on my Canon 5d mkIV with the dimensions being 4096 2160. Once or twice I've created a clip in Premiere Pro, but the finished result never looks to be of a good quality, so I guess I'm either missing something when I import and/or export.
I really want to set up Premiere Pro correctly from the start, but the stock sites all seem to have different requirements - I've had a couple of clips accepted on Shutterstock, but when I try and upload to Dreamstime I'm told they are the incorrect format. I exported as Quicktime, but I think I actually ended up with clips that only had dimensions of 1920 x 1080, and if I try to overwrite this before export, the larger parameters are not accepted.
Does anyone have a link or set of instructions that can make this a little more simple for a beginner?

ALAMY IMAGE MANAGER IS LIVE!
It's now even easier to get your images online with our new Alamy Image Manager.
You now only need to add a caption and 5 tags (keywords) to get your images on sale.
If you have this information embedded within your images then your images will go on sale with your default pseudonym and license type once they've passed through QC - you won't need to do anything further.
Does this mean I now longer have to worry about 'poor visibility'? I like the idea of uploading and doing nothing further but is it really as simple as that? No 'super-tags', no location, no categories?

Can't get in but apparently I can buy the Domain needs to be renewed. That doesn't look good. Hope it's just an oversight that will be rectified soon. I rather like GL Stock, and would hate to see them go down.

I've been wondering about buying some actions/presets to add into Photoshop (CS6) and/or Lightroom, but I'm not sure what to get. I looked at the MCP actions and Florabella Collections and can't make up my mind which, if any, I should buy.
They all look great on the examples shown, but are they simple 'one-click' adjustments, or will it be just as quick for me to process using Color FX or various adjustments in PS? Does anyone know if they introduce noise? I have noticed that some of the Color FX options introduce unacceptable amounts.
If anyone has experience with these actions, or can recommend any others, I would be really glad if you would share your thoughts on them.

Someone started a thread about this on Shutterstock but, having looked at the FB page, probably some people here also need to be aware. Here is the info from the Shutterstock forum: I just got the following message on my Linkedin page: Hi everyone! I have a blog share free eps vector. I think it so helpful with you, you can visit and download free. And this is my fan page: https://www.facebook.com/epsvector Started by Tina Swift, Designer at EPS Vector Blog
Here is the blog:http://eps-vector.blogspot.co.uk
Here is the Linkedin page:http://www.linkedin.com/groups/Hi-everyone-I-have-blog-121555%2ES%2E238766865?view=&gid=121555&type=member&item=238766865&trk=eml-anet_dig-b_nd-pst_ttle-cn
I have not found any of my own images but I quick Tin-Eye search shows that the images are on various stock sites and by numerous artists.
I have left a comment on the Linkedin page but some of you may want to add you own or contact Facebook, etc. if any of the images belong to you.

With everything that has been going on recently, I know it is time that I concentrated more effort on selling RM, rather that just giving everything I have to the Micros. I have a small Alamy port of RF images and a hard drive of images that are suitable for RM - just need some processing and uploading time. I know I can't sell any of my RF stuff as RM but that is about the extent of my knowledge!
Before I invest too much time getting things wrong, I just want to clarify a couple of points.
Firstly, if I submit RM to Alamy can I also sell the same images RM elsewhere? Can I also sell the same images on places like Fine Art America? In short, is the rule simply that I don't sell the same images as RF?
Secondly, I notice on Alamy that images that would perhaps sell as editorial on the Micros are clearly photoshopped more than an editorial image should be. One example I saw was very similar to an image I have, and was clearly taken from the same position, but mine has power cables cutting across it and the processed one on Alamy had the cables removed. I am used to just tidying up images for editorial - exposure/contrast/curves, etc. Is this kind or treatment acceptable for Alamy/RM? Also, at what point do I have to declare that it has been 'digitally altered'? I'm really not sure what 'digitally altered' constitutes - would that be anything that has been adjusted in PS or is it for substantial image manipulation? The image I mentioned with the removed cables was marked as NO to the 'digitally altered' bit.
Thanks

I submit to several sites and each one has different rules and regulations as to how my images can be licensed. At the moment, I have disabled Partner Programs and ELs on several sites, purely because I don't want images sold for POD use, etc. On some sites, Fotolia for example, I actually removed my port, because I didn't like the way they were circumventing the licence agreement to allow POD on standard licences through some of their partners. I also don't like the idea of someone buying my image and putting it on mugs and mousemats on Etsy and Zazzle, etc
I am wondering what everyone else does?
Am I being over cautious and restricting my income dramatically? There is a part of me that wants to retain a modicum of control, and another part of me that says what the heck - if someone is going to misuse my image, they will do so anyway. Also, what is the likelihood that someone will pay for an EL just to use my image on a mousemat?
I don't know whether to throw caution to the wind or not, and would be really glad of some other points of view.

I like the look of GL Stock and have signed up. However, I really don't know where I should be setting my price level. I sell a mix of photos and vectors and wondered what the rest of you do? What are sales like there? Do any of you have prices set at different levels and, if so, do you notice that the lower priced images sell better?
