Not saying I approve of AI and I think aspects opf photo industry are in big trouble but anyone trying to opt out is in complete denial. Its amazing Adobe pay at all to be honest. Not happening for anything else. IOf we all opt out and Adobe went bust for some reason, customers will go to the next service.

Hi, I just wanted to highlight to more people that the below thread is worth reading as many, including myself, are finding their images stolen and on Freepik for sale. https://www.microstockgroup.com/image-sleuth/thief-with-35k-portfolio-(photos)-at-freepik/25/Its possible Envato is where the images where downloaded and they shut down my post about it. I encourage as many to check for images that might be unique to them, and search on FreePik. If you find stolen images then contact them ASAP. Chris

As I understand there is free and premium. All the stolen assets are in premium collection. But yes its a revenue sharing scheme so potentially could be a smallish amount. Like maybe $200.
I think the key issues here are of course theyre stolen and thats crap. These people are arseholes. Id lock them up if I could. They dont need to be around me in society. Also, and everyone should be wary, is that more people go to Freepik for cheap imagery its sabotages the other stock libraries. Esp macro libraries like Alamy. For me Adobe Stock is the healthy middle ground. Shutterstock has gone to crap in earnings per image. Most images on Adobe go for US$1.3o and up. Shutterstock is like 30 cents. But eventually why would anyone use more expensive libraries when they can go to Freepik. So we get hurt that way too

They have replied pretty quick asking for usual details like publication date. Sent them examples but where do you start. Its 1500 assets!
So can this be reported to police or anything? 2100 sales to this thief! I presume they just get away with it.
MOre importantlyu if so many are finding their images on Freepik can we ascertain how this is happening? How are they getting hold of our portfolios? One library has a security hole and they should be challenged on this

Thank you for this thread I found randomly. Found 1.5k of my images stolen https://www.freepik.com/author/alleca2.1k downloads on premium. IM guessing this person has made lots of money off me. Emailed support but will they actually do anything? Chris

Its a little hard to judge how much our earnings were affected as hard to compare. Previous years no free images for subscribers. What has happened im sure is Adobe Stock picked up a load of new subscribers. They arent paying $5 out of the kindness of their hearts. I do believe everyone kind of wins here. I only saw sales go up in the last year and I believe Adobe Stock is killing it now. Its a genius plan

If Adobe make the best software and we spend thousands of hrs using it a year then surely its worth every cent?

In 5 years Shutterstock has halved earnings for me and Adobe increased 3 fold. Says everything

Its super odd how the connect to your shared folders on ONedrivbe and Google etc. You dont seem to actually upload to them. They just access your Onedrive and list the keywords

Thanks so much for your time to add this. I did search in the forums here and found nothing. Im with 12 agencies so have no issues just adding one more. Im always scared that an agency will somehow rip your images and never see them again

Thanks. The offer seemed to good to be true. $500 payout is rediculous also. Worth asking on here I thought

Hi,
I got a message thru Instagram seeing if I wanted to join stockphoto.com with a free monetary bonus on signing up. Has scam written all over it.
But going to the site and not clicking link seems to show its legit. Anyone have experience of this?

Just wondering if anyone has come across this site before? https://www.barewalls.com/prints-artist/filedimage_3.htmlJust found nearly 2000 of my images on there. Presume they are connected to a stock agency and one would get paid if they sold a large print?

Hi, We are in the process of launching our new website we have been working on for about 6 months. Its a collaboration between an old friend of mine and myself, based around travel photography advice. Really aimed at helping people to maximize their time at a location for getting great photos. Lots of locations, advice, travel info etc. Places to eat we liked etc etc. I will feature articles about microstock too and my findings pros/cons etc after 4 years of doing stock. Its a 50/50 mix of paid and free so plenty for people to see easily. https://photobasecamp.com/Would love some feedback on what people think of the idea. Enjoy! Chris

Out of interest do people upload black and white images to stock sites? I presume its not done. I often do black and white for portarits as attached. I guess one could always upload two copies.
