Adobe Stock / Re: Very Angry After Adobe Stock

LOOK, IT'S VERY SIMPLE!
Video for a few cents? Don't upload video. Delete already uploaded videos.
Photo for a few cents? Don't upload photo. Delete already uploaded photos.

Actually I closed accounts with Dreamstime, Big Stock, Deposit photos and soon it will be Pond5(SS)

I'm not some looser who depends on ridiculous income from greedy stock agencies. My own shots are valuable to me and I respect my own work.

It's disgusting to support Russians. Yes, you are home, safe, while Ukrainian people are dying. A "collective responsibility" is unknown term?!

Take your idiotic/hate posts somewhere else. Thank you.

I hope stock agencies will do action. Russian photographers should be banned.

Russia will be excluded from SWIFT system, they will no longer receive money over IBAN. It is NOT hate, it is correct action against Russia.

Alamy.com / Re: Alamy Demographic Survey
« on: January 11, 2022, 15:45 »
Hi All,

Hopefully I can add some clarity here.

Firstly, this survey is 100% optional and anonymous. We will end up with % numbers against the survey questions with no identifiable information next to the answers. The data itself is not accessible other than to view results as a summary and there is absolutely zero chance of us "selling this data on" (as has been suggested in this thread).

Picture buyers in the publishing world are increasingly interested in this type of information, and when I say interested, I'm not talking about us "tapping into" some kind of trend.

We have face to face meetings with world leading publishers who ask us specific questions about where the images on Alamy come from and who takes them. They are keen to source images from a diverse mix of providers that demonstrate equal opportunities and ethical dealings. This subject has become increasingly common in our client meetings over recent times and we felt that we did not have the right level of information to inform them, but also closer to home, we want to make sure we are operating in an ethical and inclusive way.

That is the reason as to why this has been sent. The format, wording and distribution method we've chosen has been reviewed at all levels within the business and signed off by the in-house legal team within PA Media.

I hope this clears up any confusion around the survey, if you have any specific questions then please feel free to email [email protected] and the Contributor Releations team will be happy to help.

Many thanks,

James Allsworth

All good, I got $$$ and I'm satisfied. Thank you Adobe!

It's really hard to believe that so many people are so excited about getting $5 for an image that will be free for a whole year. Tres bizarre. Even more bizarre one of the so called top microstock photographers is lining up at the trough for this. Times must be very tough indeed.
People are expecting to get what they saw, quite lots of money. There was written something like you CAN get up to 3000 USD.
And now? Accepted few images. On the other hand, everything negative is positive for something else.
As I mentioned, it is quite nice deal, small one ;)

12
I see I have some photos in free collection, so I'm looking forward to get some extra money :) It is quite nice deal.

Did anyone get some approved photos?

LOL I predict that will be the next negative, I'm offended, thread "how could they miss my images, I got nothing approved!" Of course the people who rejected the plan will have nothing to complain about, they didn't participate. No fear of rejection, it's an automatic, opt out.

So if I clicked everything with no sales, ever, and no sales anywhere else, why would Adobe suddenly think MY images were valuable enough to give away as free examples of the quality, to attract new buyers? I think there's a logical contradiction in that. But I still selected a bunch, because $5 is much more than they got for me so far in over 10 years?

Always remember:
If I don't like it, I can go watch the Sunset and have a beer.

My question is simple and ordinary. Nothing negative. I was expecting simple answer (yes or no).
People who see a negativity somewhere where it is not are having quite depressing life.

Anyway, my quiestion is still valid :)

Shutterstock.com / Re: We are having some impact
« on: August 19, 2020, 08:28 »
What impact? To get better treatment?
Nowadays is much more images rejected because the subject is "too similar". So instead of let's say 10 images are approved 5-7. This means less new images is added. SS made this kind of 'impact'. Their review rules has impact for less uploads, people started focusing on Adobe, DT and others.

Less images added weekly/monthly doesn't mean SS will be "fair, kind and loving" to contributors.

Each coin has two sides: The second one is lots of contributors are happier now. More of you will leave and delete own portfolio, more space will get the majority staying there. Do you think that Sean, Lisa, Monkey Business, will go against Shutterstock and leave the income behind?

Stocksy / Re: Is it so simple to get in?
« on: August 18, 2020, 07:12 »
I never liked the faded bad color effect pictures on Stocksy. Not my cup of tea. Maybe they sell but I doubt it...

I am still not there...
A) I don't want to provide photos exclusively, at all
B) I can be creative elsewhere...

17
After 1 min of extra thinking... So how many stock contributors will be banned? 100? 500? Shutterstock will be fine without them. This action is... Boring. I won't change my avatar or whatever. Nor publicly cry. Take it, or leave it. But you can fight :) I will be thankful for your activity.

Shutterstock.com / Re: Boycott Shutterstock
« on: June 09, 2020, 16:53 »
I have an idea. If you still have your pictures online on SS go to your catalog manager and change the title of your photos to something like Don't buy from Shutterstock, Shutterstock is Stealing from Artists or something similar so buyers can see it.
And what they are stealing? Nothing. Next idea?

19
Max 20 min per month. I get quickly bored.

20
Can we please just stop attacking each other!!!
You seems to be over-sensitive :D

21
Yes I will. I'm not going to sell my good photos for 0.10 USD, I am not an idiot!

Keep us posted and good luck! I think the wait times to find out are much lower than before so hopefully you won't be waiting for months.
I gave up with Stocksy after I uploaded some files :D
I don't want to provide exclusive content. It is nice to get paid by 3 major stock agencies :)
