If I understand the submission requirements for generative AI submissions:
1. If I have a model released image and I use the GenAI tools in photoshop to extend the background, I should not mark the image as Generative AI?
2. If I have say a model released image with a model on a white background (or in any environment for that matter) and I use GenAI tools in Photoshop to totally create/replace an environment (e.g.: room, outdoors) around the model. I would submit the image with a model release but I should or should not mark it as GenAI?
Thanks

Mat,
Any news on if there will be a "Adobe Stock 2023 contributor bonus program" and what the parameters will be?
Thanks!

If you use "remove background" in PS does the image get tagged as AI and therefore create problems if you submit as Stock?

I just noticed that on the checklist for submitting Editorial photos, one of the items says something like "no trademark, logos etc.". However for editorial, isn't this allowed?

I just noticed that Adobe is offering "png" files. A few questions:
- Is their offering png files something new or something that's been there previously?
- Is there a way to specifically search for png files?
- Do png files display on the site in such a way that it is obvious where the "transparency" is?

Do folks find that SS "doesn't like" cell phone pics complaining about artifacts and focus? I used a recent high end Samsung and get mostly rejections. I understand that no cell phone can compete with larger sensor "real" cameras, but are other people seeing difficulty with cell phone pics being rejected for technical reasons?

iStock/Getty just updated their model releases. They no longer require a "witness".
Will Adobe accept these releaeses?

Looks like iStock has a new model release that does not require a witness signature. The policy of agencies in the past has been to accept model releases from other agencies. I wonder if AS, SS etc. will accept the new "witness not required" release from Getty/iStock?
Also, will the other agencies drop "witnesses" from their future release requirements?

I recently had several editorial images rejected...not a big deal. The rejection I believe is likely because the photos were "news oriented" even though there weren't people in all of the ones rejected
However, the "Illustrative Editorial Guidelines" seem to be a bit contradictory. In one paragraph it is stated:
"We are looking for imagery intended to illustrate articles on current events and news, focused on conceptual imagery using real brands and products to convey strong ideas."
Then a few sentences later it states:
"The most common cases for rejection from that collection are:
- The file includes identifiable people. - The file is news or documentary editorial. - The file did not have a strong editorial concept."
It is a bit confusing: "We are looking for imagery intended to illustrate articles on current events and news" vs. "...common cases for rejection...- The file is news or documentary editorial"
Seems to say imagery for current events and news is wanted and then says news is reason for rejection?
Can we have some clarification?
Thanks

Any word on when Adobe will expand their editorial collections beyond "illustrative" and stills (i. e. footage)?

I just saw the following message on my Adobe page:
"To request payment you need at least $25 in available earnings. Additionally, you should not have other pending payouts, and 45 days must have passed since your first sale."
The "45 days since your first sale" part...does this mean that you can't get monthly payouts?

I wonder what would have happened if instead of royalty cuts to boost revenue, SS raised their prices? This is so contrary to the ingrained and pervasive "race to the bottom" that all agencies are currently doing. Maybe, just maybe it would have worked. They would make more money and contributors would make more money. Contributors would be motivated to produce more and better content. Would they be so bold as to even try? Sure, the royalty cuts boost revenue, but as we all know, long term that is a dead end. SS, be bold!
