Hi, I'm trying to find some information about the sales amount at Shutterstock for editorial vs commercial. I've looked on their blog and Googled and it's easy to find the total sales but not separate.
Would anyone have a source for that?

Hi everyone,
I've had to reenter my agency logins on Stock Submitter and I can't seem to upload anything on DepositPhoto and PhotoDune. Is anyone having a similar problem at the moment?
Otherwise, I suspect that I might not have the right informations in the Agencies settings. This is how I entered things so le me know if you spot a mistake.

Hi,
I've been using 3 computers to do my keywording on files located in Dropbox depending on where I work.
At home, I use a Windows laptop and Desktop computer and adding KWs descriptions and titles work perfectly and are read by both computers.
When I work from an other location, I use a Mac laptop. I can keyword and add all the info but when I go and read the info from a windows computer, I get a bunch of asian symbols in the fields. I did find a workaround exporting and importing the CVS file but there has to be a smoother way, no?

Hi, I'm looking to register my account as a business one instead of a personal one since I work with second photographers. I am Canadian and got a EIN number from the US government, I would just need to know what w-8 form and documents to submit. There doesn't seem to be clear documentation on any of the agencies sites, would anyone have a good ressource for that? thanks  Julie

Hi Everyone,
I was wondering how sales tax work when you are selling your images on your own site. I am in Canada but when selling through agencies, I don't have to deal with sales taxes but I was wondering if it's the same with a direct site. On Photoshelter you have to fill in the W-8 BEN form but does this keep you from having to charge sales tax or just to have income tax taken off you royalties.

quick question: I would like to make double exposures and I need some cityscapes. I found a few websites with CC0 licences like unsplash and I want to know how I can fill up a Property release with the relevent informations so the agencies don't reject everything.
Is there anyone who has experience doing that?

hey everyone, I received the december contributor newsletter and this article grabbed my attention: "Goodbye Lightboxes. Hello Boards!" http://www.istockphoto.com/ca/discover-boards?esource=2016_12_13_iStock_NL_em_SEGI'm happy that there seems to be a replacement to lightboxes but reading the articles, it seems to be more a feature for buyers that contributors. Anyone has an idea what to expect for contributors in oder to feature photoshoots as a grouping of images (like Lightboxes were)?

In the end it was a weird internet connection problem; took me some time to figure it out and it's now solved!
hi everyone,
For the last 4 day, I've been having problems logging in to Shutterstock; when I get to the log in page I get the fields for my username and password but not the " I'm not a robot" test. when i try to connect, the site tells me to put in my security code, but I can't even see it ! All other sites are working normally.
Has that ever happened to anyone else? Did i miss an update on some program? is my firewall going crazy?
Any help would be appreciated as this is totally f*#@ing up my workflow.

I have been submitting more to Stock agencies and I just noticed that my images don't get submitted properly at Bigstock because of Keywording issues. They have a maximum of 50 keywords but the separate keywords that have 2 words ("copy space" counts as 2 keywords) and they get stuck in the queue of images to be edited. Is it possible to have the keywords edited in Stock submitter to only send 50 unique keywords? It would make my workflow a lot easier.

Hi, I am trying to add some model releases and the model photo is giving me problems: I am not able to remove the image that was used last time so if I save the release, it has a false image. Otherwise, if I try to add the photo of the model, SSubmitter doesn't seem to find JPEG files and doesn't want to add JPG files.
anyone else's had that problem?

Hi there,
I've started to work with an other photographer who shoots details and portraits when I have more that 3 models on a photoshoot.
I was wondering if anyone has information on how to submit those files to agencies... Is there a standard contract that can be signed for that? do I need to upload a form when I submit their images in my account? I tried to look in the IS forum but didn't find anything.

Hi,
I was wondering if it would be possible to let us keyword tiffs files? If I could export all the TIFF files from a shoot from Capture one and then keyword the and add description as a batch, it would be great because I could retouch them later on bit by bit but they would still have the metadata attached. Even if TIFFs don't keep the info for MRs, it would save me a lot of time
I know it would really improve my workflow and probably the one of others as well so let me know if it could be done!

Hi everyone, I am looking to hire a 2nd photographer for some of my shoots. Is there anyone using a reliable form so that the 2nd shooter can transfer the copyright of their images? Also, I think I might have found someone good but she is 17 years old; is it a problem to have a minor sign such documents? If there is existing threads or ressources on the subject, please share the link. Thank you!

I am sure that I remember a stock agency that came up with a dollar club or a mobile photography site where they offered filter to add to the images. I've been looking for that but I am not finding it. I am sure it came out in the last 6 months so does anyone remember that and remind me their name? or have I just gone crazy?

I was wondering if anyone knows of Room the agency ( http://www.roomtheagency.com/) ? they contacted me through Flickr to distribute my images on Getty and istock at higher price. In return, they are offering 35-40% of THEIR earnings on Getty and iS. their images are on sale on Getty for 15-379$ I asked them what their commission is and the answer I got was that the terms of their contract with Getty are confidential and they can't answer that... not very easy to do the math! any one has any answers to the following questions? -Has anyone worked with this agency? -What is the typical commission that an contribution agency would get at Getty? -Does it sound like a fair offer or a different version of the Getty-Flickr deal to anyone? Hi guys, I am quite new to stock and when I signed up, I just used my first name, initial and postal code as my password. I am now looking to make a web site and potentially set up a symbiostock site but if I use the same neme, it looks pretty Blah. I would like to change my user name on all the agencies I have set up with, do you know if it's possible? Hi everyone, I just came by this new stock site: http://www.pngstock.com/They have very few images but they say they offer up to 70% commission, the structure doesn't seem clear but it's better than 15% Most of all, the site seems to have been done with Wordpress, does anyone reccognise the theme used? is it from http://graphpaperpress.com/ ? thanks everyone!

Hi there, I've been trying to submit my images to Shutterstock after uploading and I get an mesage saying that I haven't chosen categories and to retry. I had categories selected in the general categories and the custom categories so I don't know how to fix it, Any suggestions?

After reading abou the importance of property releases, especially since the I stock update, I was wondering where to attach my property releases in StockSubmitter? Is there a tab that I'm not seeing? should I add it with my model releases? I feel like it's going to be very confusing and cause rejection in some agencies

Hi everyone, I'm just starting to use Stock Submitter and it seams like all my metadata is transfering well except for the title.
I've been keywording in Bridge and I put my title in the Headline space. Am I doing it wrong or is there an issue with Stock Submitter?
