This is really making me happy how we are all sticking together and disabling! (I disabled May 31 at Level 5). Thank you everyone for making the hard decision.

Over the past few days I deleted all my videos from SS (only 78 but they are gone)

I also have been deleting images over 2k.

And I have now turned off my remaining portfolio of 8600 images and my wife's portfolio of 4600 images.

That represents over $165k in lifetime earnings and 235,007 DL's.

Congratulations to all those who finally deactivated their portfolio!!

I don't understand why so many of you waited until today to close your portfolios.
Mine (7000+) has been deactivated for 10 days, and will certainly not be reactivated in a week!

What didn't I understand?
What is the point of procrastinating for 15 days?
Why do only today what could (should) have been done 10 or 15 days ago?
Minimum one month? My portfolio will remain disabled until we get a clear answer from Shutterstock, at least they tell us exactly how things are (It could be a month, two months, or forever. )... 15,200 posts on the Shutterstock forum and still no answer.

Many say they will only deactivate their portfolio for a week.
I understand that for some it's difficult to do more, but many can do it and many don't.
In fact, if they did a little math, they would realize that, that considering the amortization of their equipment and the cost of running their business, by earning 10 a sale, they are working at a loss.

But I understand that for some it's difficult to do more, that they're worried about doing so.
This is a difficult step for those who are desperate. There are people who really live on it and have nothing else (I'm not sure that many of us here do).
In fact, Shutterstock plays a lot on this psychological aspect. They're a bunch of bаstаrds!
Those who can do it, a month, two months or more have a duty to do it for those who cannot do it.
That's what solidarity is all about.

Deactivated +10.000 photos, video and illustrations on SS.

In fact I went exclusive with Pond5 about a week ago, so the videos will not go up anyway.

Port disabled. I'm no large contributor, and had originally planned to give it the month of June to make a decision as my individual days vary considerably, but the comments from all of the big accounts here and on FB about the impact helped me make a decision sooner.

Waiting 14 days was useful in seeing how the new earning levels affect the commissions. Not in a good way.

5-10 sales in 2 days showed up everything in detail.

You don't understand the difference between personal war and organized protest. First is effective for a person, if he/she think so. The second - is a way to solve problem. We do it all at once to show we are unite.

Deactivated my Level 5 image portfolio today. Only 500+ images, but some unique and well selling ones. Some images were in customer lightboxes, according to Shutterstock app.

Videos already deactivated on June 1, but I only had a few low quality ones.
