SS decided not to pay income for August? This was not the case before.

I had some image sales between 20 and 50 usd,every month until July.
all terrible sales since August,I really can't stand to see these 10c anymore.

Please Shutterstock stop,I can't stand to see 10c anymore,I also spend hours of work for a single piece of content,I can't see all this content go away for 10c anymore.

Please Shutterstock do something,get rid of these 10c,enough!

For the moment I'm forced to suspend uploads,I'll see how it goes in the next few months,but I certainly won't add anything new in the meantime.

For now, as mentioned,I have already suspended uploads to SS,yesterday I had a new storm of 10c,if they ever drop to 5c I will delete all my contents.

I used to sell 50 photos per day.  Now about 10 photos per day and mostly $0.10 per sale.  I stopped selling my videos a few years ago due to drastic revenue decline because of cheap video subs.  Yes, it's better than nothing.

yes I remember,I also followed the SS forum and I saw all your reactions when the bomb thrown by SS exploded,like everyone else,I was shocked.

I too have noticed a decrease in the total number of sales on SS,which is depressing because I have been uploading content to agencies every day or so for almost 6 years now.

I believe that at least 20c minimum for subscription plans would already be more acceptable even if still not much,but 10c is truly obscene.

very probably soon I will become an exclusive Adobe Stock,even if there is no program for exclusivity,because on Adobe I see that my efforts are rewarded.

My sales and revenue on SS have been increasing steadily as has the average rate per download which, this year, stands at $0.70. Yeah, I also get the $0.10 sales but they are in the minority and I've also had some big sales. In terms of total downloads and revenue, for me, SS continues to outperform Adobe. And my uploads are generally reviewed within 48 hours.

This month,by removing the Firefly bonus I earned 31.4 times more on Adobe compared to SS,and 42.8 times more with the Firefly bonus.

what else do you want me to tell you? :D

for what its worth my modest portfolios see more image downloads on SS and about half as much revenue every month (compared to AS).  total sales on AS are more than double SS with much fewer images (both sold and for sale).  istock is in the middle but was much better than SS last month (also with many fewer images for sale).

Shutterstock is not going as well as the previous three months but even with a slower month I had this sale drop in early last week...

I had couple days ago a quite near amount of $102 for a clip. Shutterstock is terrible for the basic royalties, but I have to admit that I've never earned similar amount for single clip in any other agency

Was it filmed from a drone?

Yes.
To fly a drone over cities, do you get some kind of permission or can anyone fly? How much money does it cost to get a permit?

@peacesetter congratulations!wonderful sales! :D

I suppose that on SS you can make good money with videos,I have recently started with videos too,for now I use an old GoPro6 which is 4K but rather limited,and my DSLR which however is only HD but more suitable for macros,and more.

I'm planning to buy a GoPro10 and a Sony video camera.

For the moment I have only sold a few HD videos.

A drone is also on my list! :)

@pacesetter

I have never seen a video sale like this. Fantastic.

Now I miss having a Shutterstock port...

I price my 4k videos at industry standard (used to be) $199 on Pond5.  Because Im all exclusive on Pond5, I get about $120 royalty.  It happens regularly and I see no difference in number of sales when pricing at $129.

10 sales a month or 300 sales a month...that is the eternal question ;)

One is a hobby, the other a business. With a 20k port.

eta

This month I will make around 400-450 dollars with around 3000 photos and a few videos.

And I have just started to upload again on a regular basis.

How much will I make with 15000 photos and 5000 videos?
