Extreme caution: Be aware of theft and scams perpetrated by MicroStock Group forum.

I had 800 thumbnail size photos stolen and distributed by this group. They cruise forums looking for easy prey. Do not respond to their emails or queries. Do not give them facebook or flikr information.

I was accused of stealing someone's photo and they wanted a cash settlement. It was so ridiculous because I only do Computer Generated images.

One of these crooks even said a commonly available open source 3D model was his was demanding payment for CG images based on free modified Blender models.

Listen up you thieving lying POS:

I made it. It's 100% CG. I have all the original Cinema4D files.

Poster was "Canadafirst."  Thought someone might want to take exception to this post at Shutterstock.  I did.

Isn't Canadafirst our new favorite RedScarlet? Probably trying a CYA because they got busted stealing images!

Someone with a ShutterStock account, please post this information:

On CanadaFirst's LinkedIn profile, they list themselves as "Semi professional disinformation consultant", aka a liar. The avatar on his profile is actually also one of the alleged stolen images. Lists himself as owner of stockphoto4free.com.

http://www.linkedin.com/pub/canada-first/23/710/732

Google cache of page in case he deletes information:

http://webcache.googleusercontent.com/search?q=cache:Kf7kDjYZBUkJ:ca.linkedin.com/pub/canada-first/23/710/732+stockphoto4free.com+linkedin&cd=1&hl=en&ct=clnk&gl=us&source=www.google.com

I'm getting a little tired of this person, and they aren't very good at spreading disinformation.

I'm reporting this to Leaf through the site. I'm sure SS will let him give an official reply.

I began to feel sorry for this little thing. I'm sure that it should be possible to be a thief without being stupid as well.

I can't figure out why anyone would want to behave like that. What's the gain?!?

I see he's deleted the images containing stolen work from his SS port;

http://www.shutterstock.com/gallery-232681p1.html

Of course by doing so he's effectively confessed to the crime anyway. I think he'll find the rest of his portfolio will have disappeared too by close of play Monday.

Especially when he's clearly guilty.

Well, at least he's got his '$5000 per month' income to rely on. Not.

This is great entertainment :)

Priceless.  He links to this site where apparently we are supposed to believe that the woman in the keyhole is 100% computer generated from the supplied CG model?

Instead of from this stolen image:

BTW, just would like to say how proud I am to be a member of this merry band of thugs ;)

I don't know much more than anyone else - except that it is most certainly the same RedScarlet user that was here in this thread
http://www.microstockgroup.com/general-stock-discussion/how-i-went-from-$100-to-$5000-month/

He was banned from the forum at the same time I locked the thread.  Now he has taken his ranting to the Shutterstock forum and included MSG on his hit list.  ::)  I can't imagine he'll last long their either, but I guess we'l see how Shutterstock handles it.

In regards to his accusations ... I don't really feel he is serious enough to respond to... but I'll oblige just the same.

Neither I, nor MSG as a website have sent him any emails, except his confirmation email when he signed up and any private message he received from members.

They steal personal information from accounts. Anybody who dares reveal this is immediately banned.

No, no 'personal information' was stolen or abused.  I can see his email and IP address, but as with any member these are not shared with anyone.  Yes, even delinquent member's information is kept confidential.  It is true however that he was banned

It looks like he was in an email exchange with one of the members here (may or may not be true) from the original thread.  His images did have elements taken from other's photos so I can't blame those members for being upset and taking him to task, which was why the Shutterstock thread was started in the first place.

... and no MSG did not steal 800 thumbnails, or try to steal any flickr, facebook, or twitter accounts  ::)

anything else I need to respond to?

What fun! I really enjoyed his last thread. Now he's gone off in a tizzy because he dug his own grave and then shot himself in the head. Priceless.

He's using that same stolen keyhole woman as his avatar on Linkedin. What an utter moron.

Me, too. I love when this merry band of thugs (us here at MSG) takes the time to research and rat out the rats. Where do these people come from and why do they think everyone is stupid? Rhetorical question.  :D

Yeah, apparently he's taking a lot of stuff down. Gee, wonder why. Snippets from "canadafirst"  on the SS thread:

I shut down 2 image hosting accounts, changed paypal info, canceled social media accounts. The crooks from this forum try to get into everything.

Too much fun ratting out the thieves!
