every day we see that the network is growing, we have search engines that connect all the sites, but in case purchase of some images, the user has to register at several sites. Maybe in the future (hopefully not too distant) have a unified database for network access to all sites, that way the user can access the site from a partner and pay, go to another site with the same username and pay for another image.

It's just an opinon, what do you think about this idea?

This has been discussed before. I think there is general agreement that a unified database for network access doesn't really fit the spirit of Symbiostock unless some hub site volunteers to maintain such a database. However, the problem of multiple registrations for buyers is recognized. I am not sure, though, if Leo is working on a cookie based system that doesn't need registration at all for the premium plugin or if that's something for later down the road.

In any case, I agree that this issue has to be tackled if we want to see Symbiostock fly high.

Yes i think there is some kind of centralisation planned, not sure though exactly what

I am totally against this idea..

we are a bunch of INDEPENDENT SITES after all, and that's the beauty of it..

just be patient.. that is all you need..

it "REALLY" works the way it is.. I know it, because I have used a domain I own since 2006 and once the traffic is there, you will get the registrations and sales..

it is not that people can't be bothered to register on your site.. it is ONLY that you don't have enough visitors "YET"...

several different ideas in here:

1 - a central search is already in effect
2 - a central payment isn't possible by design, but it might be possible to create a central CART, which  would have the user make 1 paypal transaction that would go to each separate seller, and get separate emails -- this is how it works on ebay now if you win auctions from several different sellers
3 separate registrations is something many of us have been talking about since the beginning.  registration should be OPTIONAL - there's no actual reason to require it
4 - it's not clear how big this problem will be -- it may be that most buyers are only looking for 1 or 2 images at any time

@Cascoly - I was just going to post your point #4.  I agree that most buyers will be coming for one or two images so it's not likely that anyone will be faced with having to check out with a dozen different sites to get their images.

What I would like to see is a feature that lets you have some sort of a "cart corral" so as you travel the network you can see all your open carts in one area making it easy to get back to something you've added to a cart three sites back.

This is probably true, but at the same time it would be nice to be the go to hub for images. So, I think there is something to be said for thinking of the concept in broader terms.

IMHO 2 and 3 together would provide a satisfying solution for this issue that - I agree with 4 - might not even be a problem (yet). As I said, I think Leo is working on 3 (or has it on his list at least). And if someone is going to develop a central CART hub/plugin/whatever I'd be definitely interested.
