Just checking my stats on Veer and noticed something odd.  50 was the weekly upload limit.  I only uploaded 4 last week so the total should be 46.  Looking at it it's at 21???

I have no idea what's going on and am wondering if others notice the same thing.  I don't want to email support unless I really have to.

Thanks.

Anita

Not just you Anita. Mine says I can upload 25 images, though I only have one recent upload currently waiting in the rejection queue ;) So, yes, it looks like they might have halved the upload limit for now. Not a problem for me as I shoot virtually all editorial images. Still hoping that, being owned by Corbis, they might start taking those sometime. Regards, David.

ETA Corrected upload limit from 23 to 25 - it was hard to read!

Thanks David.  Looks like it's been halved to me too.  Not too concerned about it I don't upload but maybe 10 at a time and that's if I can manage to do 10 images that week.

I just wish they'd have sent out an email or put something up somewhere stating that they were cutting the upload limits and the reason behind it in our contributor area.

I'm sure it'll impact at lot of the volume uploaders.

Thanks again.

Mine still says 50 uploads.

Mine was cut to 25 as well.  I'd be annoyed, since I have a huge backlog.  But sales there are dismal and don't justify a lot of effort.

25 too.. pictures waiting for review for over a month.. 1 month is usual there but more than that is just too much no Veer?

Mine still says 50. I have a huge backlog of stuff to upload, but I haven't uploaded in a few weeks (every time there is some shenanigans or if sales appear to fall off for a while I stop uploading, wondering if Veer is worth it).

I looked at the blog to see if there was any post about upload limits changing, but nada. That sort of change should be publicly posted somewhere on the contributor part of the site (note to Veer personnel reading MSG: when you've finished cleaning up the dung pile of your missteps in moving files to Alamy and not communicating that to contributors, perhaps you can work on this sort of thing?)

Mines still at 50. Could it be based on acceptance rate perhaps? Not that they publish those figures explicitly, but surely they keep them

don't know about that one but I have 60% approval ratio there, first the alamy migration now this, they need to keep us updated...

Can't be I've very few rejected lately.  Most of my rejects happened when I first started uploading and didn't know about some of the stuff that they didn't want.

So I don't see it being based on acceptance ratio.  Though a representitive really needs to drop by and say what's up.

If not acceptance ratio, maybe it's based on sales or sales ratio?

I emailed support the other day and just got this response a few moments ago.

Hi Anita,

We sometimes make changes to submission limits in order to keep a balance between editor workload and review time.

So are there still those of you that still have 50 as your limit?

Mine reads zero...but that's only because I processed a batch of 50 over the weekend.   ;)  So...at least as of this past weekend, mine was still at 50.

It's all you serial uploaders they have lowered the limit for.  Mine is at 50 and they know there is absolutely no possibility that I will submit anything close to that.

Yes, but I've halted uploading until they sort out the Alamy (and other partner program) mess

I don't think so.  I am not a "serial uploader" in general, but since I still have only half my port on Veer, I meet my weekly upload limit every week.  It is still 50 AFAIK.  Unless they changed it from last week.

I only upload 10 a week if that so it can't be me  ;D

Maybe they did that coz they know I don't go past 25 and haven't since I got my port on there.

nope, I stuff in my 50 every week + generally have 150+ in waiting in edit on the site, and still got 50. But they have this ridiculous month+ long queue, while delivering the same amateurish standard of inspection by burger flippers like anybody else, that should jam thru thousands of shots a day. I guess it's in sync with their sales. I also like the nostalgic touch on their site, the speed their pages load takes me back to the very-very early days of the internet with dial up modems : )
