Any thoughts on the new email update? It covered the backlog in reviews, their proprietary web uploader, metadata uploader, and a possible upload status checker.

I'm not sure that an upload status checker will help. I only want to know whether something is approved or rejected. The stages in between while in review don't mean much beyond the psychological. If the status checker can provide a reason for rejection (highly unlikely), that would make it more useful, imo.

Last I checked, they were 6 months behind on reviews. The explanation for the delay was very vague, but it seems they believe reviewing metadata is a bottleneck separate from reviewing the actual images. If so, their plan to make approved images live before reviewing metadata should help. But what happens if they reject your metadata after approving the image? Will the image come down? How will you know what terms to remove or change?

I've never used their uploader so I have no opinion on that.

It looks like an improvement, but I stopped uploading there to see what was going to happen with their subscription system and don't plan to resume so really don't know.  Hopefully someone else does.

The whole thing was such a mess for contributors that I stopped uploading there too, I just feel that contributors are not treated with respect.

They really need to make easier to manage your images. At the moment it is very hard to do, you can't search within your portfolio to find an image to remove.

Agreed. The problem is even further compounded if you have images on Istock, as they will show in your portfolio and not in your uploads. It's a total nightmare if you need to remove anything.

that's also a problem with AS (and relatively easy to program as it's a minor SQL/DB command change)
