I just noticed that the keywords of my recent images/videos don't appear correctly on the customer's side - major keywords missing, keyword order off, completely irrelevent keywords added...
Could you guys check your recent submissions to see if it's widespread or only me?

I just took a look at my newest approved images and everything seems fine with the keywords.

Do you sort tags before sending?

Maybe automatic keywords were turned on while uploading and you didn't notice? Sometimes it happens so I copy-paste my own keywords again.

I had hard time to find few of my recent images because so much spam/similar images uploaded, I can't believe Adobe is letting this happen.

Most of my keywords are there, just few missing, but it says "Similar keywords" on buyers side, not "All keywords", so I guess it shows just keywords similar to what I used to search for my image.

What I found weird is that I have keyword "infinity" and on buyers side it is "forever", like it was translated from english to some other language and then back to english with Google translate.

The list of keywords you add in the contributor portal is not necessarily what is displayed on the customer facing site. What is displayed publicly is designed to assist customer fine-tune their search. Sort of an "if you like this, you may want to check out this..." feature. It seems to work very well.

The keywords that you actually added are what apply to your specific asset in search. The best way to verify the keywords that are actually applied to the file is in the dashboard section of the Adobe Stock contributor portal.

Thanks,

Mat Hayward

Thanks for the help people. Mat, the keywords in my dashboard appear as submitted but in my public profile and the search they are different, as you suggested. Thanks for clearing that out. Some keyword suggestions are absurd though. For example I see "mobile phone" on many of my scientific illustrations :o

I had this a few times. When keywording I used German keywords and did not notice that the language was preset to English. Could this have happened to you as well?

Yes, I'm sure there are some irrelevant suggestions made. The same thing happens with the keyword suggestions for contributors when keywording. You wouldn't (shouldn't) click on an irrelevant suggested keyword to add to your image when indexing, and the customer would ignore the irrelevant suggestion in their continued search for the perfect asset. Not clicking a word provides data for the system to improve, the same way clicking a word does. It's an everlasting work in progress.

Thanks for the feedback!
