Please dont forget, that Adobe is making lots of money by selling you their software....

No they aren't.  :)

I earned a free photo subscription last two years and will again this year.

Who else gives us anything at all? Our bonus from SS, for a years work, is being reset to level one.

True!

If Adobe make the best software and we spend thousands of hrs using it a year then surely its worth every cent?

I got the software for free in their bonus program?
What else do you need?

Yes, they do make money but it's business and their software are very popular in professional industry... do you want them to stop selling it?

Amazing year for me with AS.
#1 in earnings so far, monthly balance paid in my own currency (EUR) so no Paypal commissions :-)
The acceptance rate is fast and almost 100%. Lots of extended licenses.
Thumbs up!

Lots of extended licenses.
Interested here.
How many photos do you sell are extended as in one to how many with Adobe and how many where there in absolute numbers? I had three but had to enforce them eventually via the copyright department because the company that went commercial with my photo's bought them at the 33 cent price and it took a whole lot of effort on my side to get Adobe doing anything about it.
Yes I had sells with somewhat larger amount as the 66 or 99 cents and an additonal 3 or 4 dollars but Extended like 26 and above never except those three I mentioned.
I hear other people complaining also they never get EL licenses. So please inform us how that is for you and at what level?

I can't join in on the Adobe praise.
It's doing okay for me, but not great. December for example I only maid 50% on Adobe of what I made on SS and only 35% of what I made on iStock. I still blame it on their search algorithm that just doesn't seem to work in my favor, because when I look at my bestsellers - the same images that sell frequently on all agencies - Adobe is always the "odd one out" where these images don't really manage to generate any sales worth mentioning.  For me it seems to be much more difficult to establish any frequent sellers on Adobe. I have a handful of these, but they are all images I uploaded like 3 years ago and none of my seasonal images ever made it to the top on Adobe, which is the reason why Adobe earnings are so much lower than they are on the other big agencies for me, where seasonal images made up a big part of my earnings.

I make most of my extended licenses on video sales, I have almost no extended L with my illustrations (probably one every 6 month...)

As all other agencies fall, Adobe grows. If it wasn't for Adobe, I would probably stop doing stock photography after 7 years. I wish you all the best!

Adobe has also grown this year. I only contribute videos here. Nice company until now. They are a huge corporation that is also subject to the stock market flows so I know the can change course suddenly as Istock or Shutterstock did in the past. The have not yet, and so far happy with this company. I hope they keep respecting their contributors, at least more than SS and Istock/Getty do.

If only Adobe took editorial video and photos directly from contributors I'd basically go all in and upload everything I have. We need a 3rd viable site, Pond5 and SSTK take editorial but that's it, there's Newsflare but having Adobe would be good but maybe it would cost them too much in server space to host the additional content, not sure.

I have a very small port with Adobe, but DL's have noticeably increased over the last few months. At the moment, I can't submit Illustrative editorial images, because of their unusual 100 downloads rule, but once I reach that, I intend to dedicate much more time to Adobe.

123RF & DT also take editorial & make submission simple - you can choose to have images automatically considered for editorial if they fail commercial standards.  great as you don't have to play guessing games about what they'll consider editorial

In January so far first 8 days my Adobe port, 30% smaller than SS port, earned 7x more.  For calendar 2021 Adobe earned 2.5 times more compared to SS.  This is not coincidence.  The difference between Adobe and others is that Adobe has intellectual approach in how they structured this side of company business.  They also respect contributors;  Matt comes here and says what is going on, QA is fair and most DLs, for me at least, are 0.99 or more.  Compare that to 0.00001 DL's on Getty,  endless 10 cents SS Stream and now Alamy.   And I won't even go into senseless AI rejections of perfectly well composed and technically sound stills, which is right down disrespectful.

Even taking into account that I have lesser photos on AS, SS is twice as good in January.
I'm still hoping it will turn around because I'm more sympathetic to the way AS treats us.

Sales at SS are 1/3 of those at AS this month, even with fewer images at AS.  Going back to level 1 doesn't explain this.  AS is even beating Alamy so far this month.

correlation is not causation - no evidence AS approach leads to greater sales - eg, my AS sales are consistently about 50% of SS, with same images uploaded, at same time, to both sites

ignoring fact that an 8 day window is hardly significant when sales are spotty at best

Agree.
For the whole 2021, SS accounted for 38% of my revenue, while AS was the second best with 29%. This makes AS revenue about 76% of SS.
It's also fair to add the free Adobe apps, but it's only a small percentage of the total sales, and will not change the above ratio significantly.
