Our Symbiostock site is http://photo.travelling-light.net for network testing. We'll switch to the images subdomain when we're ready to go live.
Nice clean looking site!

Thanks, but it's Leo deserves the credit for the look. We've just added a few touches to it.

Actually the theme is a blank slate. You guys putting your designerly personalities into it has been great to watch.

Wow, very nice.

Please, put some tips about your setup. It's exactly like i want my site, but i'm facing some issues (brain issues :) ). Thanks and congrats.

By the way, there are some way to share config files to to make it easier for other members?

Here's a start:

I'll add a bit more later.

And all the config goes into the database, so it's not really possible to share things, we can just show the methods.

I've been trying to think of a better way to network than just having the 5 links that may or not be working.  I understand Leo's concern about large searches

here are several ideas (these could be set as search options, so each site could decide whether to use them or not):

* send the buyer to the complete list of symbio sites so they can choose site(s) that interest them

* randomly select 'similar' sites -- if we make the networking page into an online SQL db table, you can then search based on 'travel', nature, etc -- I've done something similar for my recipes db  http://cascoly.com/trav/recipes/recipemain.asp

My site is finally up, minimally. Still have some work to do on it.

MSG name: Leo
website: Illustrations by Leo
url: http://www.clipartillustrations.com/
your photo topics: Mascots, vector and 3d illustrations, general illustrations
what  you're looking for: Business subject specialists, but happy with anyone in testing right now.

My site is still under construction, but I uploaded some photos and all works so far.

StereoShutter stock images

Topics: isolations, nature/landscapes and, in future, I plan to upload many stereoscopic images, wonder if anyone will buy them ... :)

For testing I linked to my site and it looks ok, so feel free to link and report errors if any :)

Big thanks to travelling-light. After two days fighting against cloud tag finally i put it working. Very useful tip.

If you facing problems with cloud tag, pay attention on this phrase:

*** WRONG! Use the Default Template if you want a sidebar for widgets, as we did!

Sorry about asking for something that is already posted, but didn't someone put a table online of all the various websites that are now live? I can't find it.

You might be thinking of Cascoly?  The sites listed are mostly existing ones I think rather than live Symbiostock sites

cascoly

the page is http://cascoly.com/symbiostock-network.asp

I update it as new info is posted.  I think most of the sites are now symbiostock sites.

It'll be back later, there's a DNS change propagating - it hasn't reached me, so I can't see if the site is broken yet.

Finally I found time to set up my site and play a bit.

Here's my update:

MSG name: PiLens
website: Outdoor Photography by Stephan Pietzko
url: http://www.imagoborealis.com

My site is with Bluehost and set for networking. Feel free to try.

I've uploaded and processed 10 images so far. All had a full set of metadata but 3 of those 10 lost all metadata when processed. I tried same images again and processing went through without any loss of metadata.

One image file produced an error  "No matching image files found. You may have named them incorrectly. Fix problem and re-upload. This file has been removed.", which was weird because I knew it was there (in the upload folder). Turned out to be a naming problem: File name was xxx..jpg. Removing the extra dot solved the issue.

Then I played around with menus and pages. Everything worked great for a while. But then I found myself stuck with a problem similar to one described here: widgets wouldn't show and commenting was enabled (although everything was off in settings). Changing page templates didn't solve the issue. Updating to version 1.19 didn't help either. Renaming the page finally did! So it seemed to be some naming conflict. Still strange though, because the page title didn't match anything but the tag line for my site. Reading also all the reports about the search/keyword/category issues I get the impression that Wordpress really doesn't like any matching text at all.

You can put mine on the list

url: www.aseanphotostock.com
Travel pictures covering South East Asia

portfolio: 500 to start:)

Beach Bum

My portfolio is heavy on food and isolated with some sports and people.  Ideally, I would like to network with contributors with people, lifestyle type ports, but I'm open to any type.  I have about 700 RF images, but I'm going to weed out some of the stuff that doesn't sell.  I'm also optimizing each image for SEO, so my upload process will take some time.

Hey Cascoly, thank you for keeping that list updated! I have even two list entries now  :o. The link in the first PiLens-entry is not correct. Please replace with link of second entry. You could also add my portfolio size which is about 2000.

Thanks again!

Oooh, now that I've switched hosts, can you change my portfolio size from 500 to about 2k? I have unlimited space now... (photominingstock.com). Anyone here doing industrial stuff? I want to network with you.
