Here is an idea. They should accept new contributors only through BigStock and if they prove themselves let them smoothly transfer their portfolio to Shutterstock.

It's working for me right now using that method.

I have been with ss since 2007, and I have never seen such a massive breakdown before.
Good thing is that they inform us.
Bad thing is that I had a zero day.

Daily totals doesn't seem to be updating

As a buyer. I can not even get in to the place.

They have bigger things to worry about right now, the site just imploded. Time to pull out the Duct Tape and Baling Twine AGAIN.

That message about speeding up the buyer side, came just now. That was unknown to me when I repeated the workaround.

I have deleted the workaround, you might want to edit your comment too so that no one can see it.

Yes it is. I am moving elsewhere. They boast about all the millions of images and can not even get it to work properly. What a complete fiasco.

It Alive! Some stats are not calculated properly and my nightly FTP upload is not showing up.

ok, enough on who, what or whom found the backdoor! Let's just concentrate on news that is coming from Shutter - I am taking images/processing them instead of worrying about this mishap- be productive instead of wondering or guessing...

By the way I don't buy their story about site traffic, I think it is more damage control for continued errors that they know will be visible.
